A beautiful metaphorical telling of a persons journey thru life.At first the girl is small when she is separated(in death)from her mother.Cast off into an almost overwhelmingly vast ocean(life)she finds she is not alone.As the story goes on u can see she is older&meets someone.A flutter of movement tells of love&loss.Finally she is old&dying.Her going back to her mother is her reflecting on her life in her final moments.It shows how fast a life can go by as if it were in the turn of a carousel.

@TheJazzyT I'd like to think her returning to her mom shows her entering heaven(?) and reuniting with her finally. I don't think they'd show her going up through the sky to get there for just a 'reflection' on the past or something.

@TheJazzyT i saw her returning to her mother as more of a "circle of life" type deal, especially as the carousel and the "death" whirlpool echo that circular motion.

@xQueenKristinx Yeah.You could be completely right. Honestly, this is just my interpretation. It could have been that she died and was able to see her loved one again in some supernatural or celestial end we all may meet on day. Who really knows? I think its important for everyone to come to their own conclusion. That's the thing about art. Its really what it means to the person viewing it and good art should not have to break down its own meaning.
