yea that is what i am expecting. but it is also rumoured of a cheaper and budget friendly iphone.

I'm sorta hoping (but pretty much know it wont happen) for some special promotion that if you own an iPhone 3G, you can get the new iPhone for free (same amount of GB) or for a cheaper price (if you want a 32GB one and have a 16GB for example).

I think we wont see anything about the iPod touch till a later press conference with Steve Jobs like last year, but it should have similar if not better hardware than the iPhone, the 2nd Gen iPod Touch actually had a faster CPU than the iPhone 3G.
