Stargate SG-1 is similar to the Nickelodeon animated series Danny Phantom in the following ways:
the Stargate=the Ghost Portal
Daniel Jackson=Daniel, Jack's son
Jack=Jack
Sam=Sam
Teal'c=Tucker
Vala=Valerie
Ra=Hotep-Ra
David Kaufman, who voiced Danny Phantom, also played Mark Gilmore in the Stargate SG-1 season 8 episode "Zero Hour."
Both shows have an episode in which Earth is made intangible (Danny Phantom season 3 finale: "Phantom Planet," Stargate SG-1 season 10: "The Road Not Taken").
i understand Richard had to go, but I just HATE the way season 9 starts.. I mean everything that we know and love just has disappeared. SG - 1 no longer exists and Jack is gone from the SGC? i mean cmon not even a goodbye ceremony , at least they could have used a couple of minutes on the script to explain why this is happening.. Mitchell is okay.. but still i didnt like that
What on Earth possessed them to give Ben Browder top billing over the orginal members of the cast? I know they had to find a replacement for O'Neill on the team but there was no way they were gonna find a replacement for Richard Dean Anderson in the show as a whole. Bad move.
It's true that no one can replace Richard Dean Anderson, but he still fit the role pretty well for coming on so late in the Series. It was everyone's surprise that the show kept going without Richard so let's just be grateful for that, the final 2 seasons weren't the best but it was still a good story arc (And Richard made some appearances now and then).
Too be honest, Ben Browder wasn't bad, he also acted very well in Farscape (another really great series if you haven't seen it)
Is it just me, or does the Season 7 and 8 intro look more high tech than this? I'm not jumping on the Ben Browder hate, but the actual effects look a lot more impressive in 7 and 8. Maybe it's because they added more epic shit like pyramids exploding and motherships being torn apart, but in this intro it's a bit less action packed, lol.
Stargate SG1 and Farscape both need to return...fucking pricks continuing shit shows like Supernatural. Bring back what matters.
I figured it out, nevermind. It's the stargate chevrons sliding at the start and through it. Here it's CGI. 7 and 8 it's footage of the actual mechanized prop they had. :)
The Ori really make no sense as false gods. I mean, how closer can you get to a god than ascending to a higher plane of existence, acquiring the entire knowledge of the universe, and proclaiming a religion that worships them?
In my opinion, Anubis was the last false god, the Ori were real gods, and the last seasons made the ancients look like fools compared to the Ori. Heck, the Ori are more Godlike than even the Wraith in Atlantis, it all just came too soon, Wraith should have came first.
In season 9, she wasn't seen as a full member of sg-1, she was still just a person that hung out with them. Later in season 9 she becomes an official member of SG-1, and that's when she then appears on the intro in season 10.
@cegrocks that hasn't changed mostly but now there are central enemies to deal with. they dont go to other worlds and have adventures as much though, youre right. have no fear, there is atlantis
i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the first 10 seconds are horrible, lol. cheesy CG.
I think the best intros are the first two variations. Even the one where they show ra's mask is kinda cool..but too plain.

Why is it always "Michael Shanks as Daniel Jackson" instead of just "Michael Shanks?"

Why did Teal'c grow hair on his head? He looks pretty stupid with hair.

where the hell is jack o'neill? it isn't the same without him...

Oh he's around, and while I liked Jack, I do have to admit that someone not making fun of the bad guys constantly is a little nice.
I think the Ori are really interesting.
Yeah it's different.
