I know I'm commenting on a very old video. I guess part of me hopes the second half of the season can be added (especially Delaware v. Navy since they're playing each other again today). Anyway, when I started watching the team that year, my friend old me the only name I needed to know was Omar Cuff. During the season, I started to realize Joe Flacco was phenomenal as well. Still, I'm glad to see Cuff get credit in this video. It's a shame Delaware's Wall of Fame doesn't have him on it.
Actually, I think he was an undrafted free agent. Still, Omar's a great player (honestly, it seemed like he got more love at UD because he was around longer). 7 TDs vs. William and Mary is amazing. I hope he has lots of success with the Titans (and I wish the best of luck to Flacco with the ravens as well).
I really liked that video a lot. Last season was amazing. It didn't end how I would have hoped, but it was an incredible run. Best of luck to the Blue Hens next year.
LOL. Apparently not. He was waived, and now he is on my team's practice squad. That being the Cleveland Browns. Then again, going to the Browns from the Titans is an upgrade because the Browns are better
Happy to see the attention that Flacco has gotten with the NFL Draft coming up next weekend. There are lots of FCS players that can play at the next level...I think it is the best football out there. We at Appalachian State are looking forward to seeing our LB DJ Smith go pro in a few years!!
There's no question that their individual successes helped each other, but your question seems to imply that one or the other was/is overrated. I think you simply had two very good players on the field at the same time. Joe Flacco is getting the NFL buzz right now, but Omar Cuff was still an excellent college back.
@UDRob Got it wrong, Omar Cuff was the reason Flacco shined. The fact is after Cuff broke the single game rushing record against the number 1 defense, playing in his first start all the schools began to prepare their defenses to stop him. Flacco was not even at Delaware at that time, and you know what Cuff did after his rookie year, outstanding.
