I can't believe it has been almost four years now. I'm in High School at this point, so far form what I used to be when this was around. I still wish it was still around, I miss all the people I lost contact with. I doubt I will every see them again. Rumors are rumors, if it does come back, I'll probably be overly enthused. Sigh... I I'm dying to play this. At least one more time. I just emailed Disney an they said it was the hardest decision they had to make. They wanted to progress like walt Disney into the future. I don't get it because they still have games that were before vmk and are awful. Open you eyes Disney.

I was a VMK player (MeiMei). If any of you guys knew me, that would be AWESOME! But anyway, I am a filmmaker.
Today, I had the idea of paying VMK a little tribute, while making a big film out of it. I was thinking something along the lines of starting off on Vmk, and somehow "going into the computer" into VMK (which would be filmed in Disney World)

You know, there are so many people out there currently recreating a VMK, but I personally don't feel like there will be any satisfaction until Disney brings it back themselves. And I know they said VMK wouldn't return, but if we don't keep pestering them, it NEVER will return =\

After I moved from the love of my friends, this game made it possible for me to communicate with my old friends, now, still after so many years of being closed, I text my friends. Lots of us made too many friends to lose, dammit Disney, what the hell is wrong with you?? Everyone is saying that they would pay to play, it basically denying the public rights to have online friends. Reality sucks, even if the game had pretty much no freedom, it was an amazing game. I still remember my username. :(

the people running vmk should watch this video, listen to the players, and to stop carring so much about money. It annoys me. Disney's filthy, stinkin' rich!! That's what annoys me most about this situation.
@CuzMyLifesAStory There not bringing VMK back. We could try all we want, It's useless. VMK was just a promotion so it was more likely for it to shut down. If they had membership,THEN it wouldn't shut down. Cause they'll use the money for the game. But the game was free; So it was more likely for it to shut down. Vmk is never...EVER coming back. But I wish it did.
VMK IS NOT COMING BACK. Yeah, there's a lot of clubs and stuff saying "BRING VMK BACK!" you can't. There's nothing you can do about it, their obviously not bringing it back. What I think is so stupid about it is that they weren't showing respect to all the millions of kids out there who play VMK every day all day. They gave up. One day, I just hope one of them sits down and thinks about it.

It was ALWAYS my dream to go to disney land ..my parents could never afford it .i was sad when vmk closed down .it was like being able to visit disney land every day at no cost . i think it was even better than visting the REAL DISNEY WORLD . were else can you set off fireworks without blowing off your face? Catch ghosts without being scared ? ride the monorail and dance? If i had a real pair of golden mickey ears , i'd wear them everyday to salute the fun years i had on VMK .

well i only played vmk a year and let me tell you what the friends I made on that game I still remember I remember the fun we would have sitting with a friend in our room saying (bored) the funny times I would have my friends. The day vmk shut down I was saddened not because of the fact that a lost close friends. But Disney did not know what they had. They had a game that was more then a game to a lot of people. They captured magic and created this game with it. When vmk died the magic died too.

I was a 'victim' if you might call it, of VMK and I loved it at the time! But as it closed, I found out Disney just used it as an adverstising equipment. I mean, seriously! Its really stupid because, if they knew they were gonna close it, then they shouldn't of opened it in the first place. And, I have a lot of great memories on VMK, like scamming (one of my favs), laughing, cute or boot, falling chairs, cafes and O MY G! It was fun! But then, disney had to tear my world and others apart!! GRRR.
Disney ! Please it's almost Christmas...the least you can do is bring VMK back. I feel sad that they decided to close VMK instead of keeping it and making it an official game. VMK was a safe, fun-to-enjoy online game where kids can enjoy the magic of Disney from your living room. Kids (and possibly teens) played this and made many friends. Only thing is, almost half way though my time being on VMK they said my name has been taken& I had to change it to Nellyfriend. I was MaroonHumbleStars on vmk. I was probably 9 or 10 and I was somewhat kind of addicted to vmk but I didn't care. I'd go on it everyday because it was so much fun. I am older now. I'm seen people making videos and trailers of a new vmk but they've all failed. To be honest I STILL MISS IT! But we should all just face the fact it won't come back. :(

I was aceparrot on VMK. I was going online one day and saw that Newsletter. I cried for the entire day without stopping, and my entire family was trying to cheer me up. I didn't want to lose all my friends - and even though I now play VFK, it can never replace VMK; it was my life. I hope someday VMK will open up again.
@aceparrot I feel the same. Outside of VMK I am a loser. I have barely any friends, I am considered "weird". It was an escape for me. It was my only chance to get away from all of these horrible things I was faced with. My parents don't understand me. VMK was my only place where I had real friends, and I cared about them. After I moved from the love of my friends, this game made it possible for me to communicate with my old friends, now, still after so many years of being closed, I text my friends. Lots of us made too many friends to lose, dammit Disney, what the hell is wrong with you?? Everyone is saying that they would pay to play, it basically denying the public rights to have online friends. Reality sucks, even if the game had pretty much no freedom, it was an amazing game. I still remember my username. :(

If they had membership,THEN it wouldn't shut down. Cause they'll use the money for the game. But the game was free; So it was more likely for it to shut down. Vmk is never...EVER coming back. VMK IS NOT COMING BACK. Yeah, there's a lot of clubs and stuff saying "BRING VMK BACK!" you can't. There's nothing you can do about it, their obviously not bringing it back. What I think is so stupid about it is that they weren't showing respect to all the millions of kids out there who play VMK every day all day. They gave up. One day, I just hope one of them sits down and thinks about it.

It was ALWAYS my dream to go to disney land ..my parents could never afford it .i was sad when vmk closed down .it was like being able to visit disney land every day at no cost . i think it was even better than visting the REAL DISNEY WORLD . were else can you set off fireworks without blowing off your face? Catch ghosts without being scared ? ride the monorail and dance? If i had a real pair of golden mickey ears , i'd wear them everyday to salute the fun years i had on VMK .

well i only played vmk a year and let me tell you what the friends I made on that game I still remember I remember the fun we would have sitting with a friend in our room saying (bored) the funny times I would have my friends. The day vmk shut down I was saddened not because of the fact that a lost close friends. But Disney did not know what they had. They had a game that was more then a game to a lot of people. They captured magic and created this game with it. When vmk died the magic died too.

I was a 'victim' if you might call it, of VMK and I loved it at the time! But as it closed, I found out Disney just used it as an adverstising equipment. I mean, seriously! Its really stupid because, if they knew they were gonna close it, then they shouldn't of opened it in the first place. And, I have a lot of great memories on VMK, like scamming (one of my favs), laughing, cute or boot, falling chairs, cafes and O MY G! It was fun! But then, disney had to tear my world and others apart!! GRRR.

Disney ! Please it's almost Christmas...the least you can do is bring VMK back. VMK was our home when we children,teenagers, & even adults need to escape reality and go to a Virtual Magic Kingdom that would take away our pain. I feel sad that they decided to close VMK instead of keeping it and making it an official game. VMK was a safe, fun-to-enjoy online game where kids can enjoy the magic of Disney from your living room. Kids (and possibly teens) played this and made many friends. I don't understand why they closed it. For all the people that still remember VMK and wish to play it again, let's hope there's a miracle and VMK will come back. Come on, Disney! Bring back the memories!

wow. i'm on the verge of crying.. i was such a dedicated player, and watching this two & a half years later just makes me remember how incredibly hard we worked to try and save vmk. i mean, we made videos, we made petitions, we sent emails, we even got on the news! i still have a slight bit of hope that it will come back. i mean, disney is all about making dreams come true and making people happy, but how hypocritical of them to shatter a bunch of them & ruin some of our childhoods. I remember finally getting a hang on the fireworks game when it shut down. I remember ordering food. I remember hanging out in a hospital room. I love VMK so much I've decided my name over the internet will always be the name I went by on VMK. Which is SwanElizabeth, or Swan for short. Only thing is, almost half way though my time being on VMK they said my name has been taken& I had to change it to Nellyfriend. I was MaroonHumbleStars on vmk. I was probably 9 or 10 and I was somewhat kind of addicted to vmk but I didn't care. I'd go on it everyday because it was so much fun. I am older now. I'm seen people making videos and trailers of a new vmk but they've all failed. To be honest I STILL MISS IT! But we should all just face the fact it won't come back. :(

I was aceparrot on VMK. I was going online one day and saw that Newsletter. I cried for the entire day without stopping, and my entire family was trying to cheer me up. I didn't want to lose all my friends - and even though I now play VFK, it can never replace VMK; it was my life. I hope someday VMK will open up again.

It was my only chance to get away from all of these horrible things I was faced with. My parents don't understand me. VMK was my only place where I had real friends, and I cared about them. They cared about me. Nobody in my life encourages me. VMK was the only place I could hope
