She looks a lot like my Stewy. His bark is very hoarse, though. People as me if he has laryngitis, but he's always sounded that way. Poms are the best -so smart and loving.
OMG this video makes me want to cry. ur pomeranian sounds just like the one i had. he would sleep in the cats litterbox when it was clean and he wouldn't walk on tile. he choked to death in front of my eyes we tried everything but we couldn't save him. im glad to know theres more awesome and amazing dogs just like marco. take good care of your little angel!
My female had her knee ligament get all tangled after running fast around the back yard and the vet recommended knee surgery, but I took the conservative route and contained her and gave her a steroid for two weeks. She is seven now and she never had any more issues with her knee. I am SO GLAD I never agreed to the surgery!
I should warn you that the more she barks the higher the chance of her trachea collapsing. It's common in her breed. My pom was on hydrocodeine syrup the last two years of her life. She had a non-stop cough for years. There is no successful treatment / surgery for it that I was told. She is so cute though!
She does have a collapsing trachea. Luckily she doesnt bark very much and it's very minor right now. She also had a knee replacememt and probibly will have to have the other one done. I'm sure she was a puppymill puppy. We got her as a recue. Thanks for the info.
@reneedelatorre1 I have a pom/papillon mix, and he is only a year old, but lately he has been coughing, especially when he gets excited. He does bark a lot, especially since i live on a noisy street. i don't think its kennel cough, because he's had that before - could he have a collapsed trachea? isn't he too young?
He may have treachea problems. Peachy was about one when I noticed she was coughing.. kind of a honking noise, like she's out of breath. Some say it sounds like a reverse sneeze. She is now 9 years old and we havent had any real problems with it. I would ask your vet about it to be sure and catch it early.
