  • Is grammarians upset. I hopes not. To clearly write (or to boldly go, for that matter), we must be careful to not split infinitives, for examples. We must never leave our senses or our participles, for any reason whatsoever, dangling. If we is not clearly precise, we might gets knowledgy grammarologists nerveracked. Thanks for a funnyesque song. I'll go looking for a coffee editor now.

  • Ellipses have 3 dots. Not 2. Not 4+. Three.

  • When bad grammar interferes with the clear communication of an idea, then whether or not the idea is legitimate becomes a moot point. In bad grammar, the essence of the idea is lost because grammar isn't about content. It's about the vehicle. People who communicate always need to consider the importance of the vehicle. Grammar is part of that.

  • Grammar shouldn't effect the legitimacy of an idea, or a point.

  • @FraudulentFoe: Incorrect grammar and spelling can ruin the legitimacy of an idea or point. If you use the spelling for a homonym, your point can completely be lost in the misunderstanding.

For example, "affect" means to influence, while "effect" means to make something happen (in the case where "effect" is a verb).

  • I love it! Who could have imagined the emergence of a radicalized faction within the underground grammarian movement? I certainly didnt see that one coming. Nice!

  • Nice one.

My worst pet peeve has to be the overuse of a single word- be it at the beginnings of sentences or multiple usage in the same sentence.

I can't wait to be an English teacher.

  • We do it because it's correct. It doesn't matter if it's online or not, language is one of the few things we have to separate us from animals.

  • woof

  • @Tavis314 I think the ability to communicate in a mathematical, complex, philosophical, theological and even comedic way is really what separates us from said animals.

  • people use that if they cant come up with anything better

  • i hate when pplz make fun of other pplz gramer on hte internet

  • @breebroo12345: Easy to see why.

  • 'Irregardless' is technically a strange sort of double negative. 'Ir' referring to the opposite of something, while 'regardless' means to be without (less) regard or care. Irregardless is teh same as saying the opposite of being without care.

Exclamation abusers. It isn't: I walked the dog! A car ran over him! I am happy! I went to sleep!

Quotation mess ups. "I like to eat" Sally said. "I like to eat Sally said". AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!

  • Word.

  • To who it may concern; I wasn't really feeling good until I saw your video; and also some of you're other stuff I got off of the internet!! The fact of the matter of the thing is: that irrgardless of what any critiques say I think good grammer is important- for example my favorite rule is,'never use a preposition to end a sentence with.". Aaaaaaaaanyway: Thankx 4 the video!!
