  • Good song but I don't get it, Punk was Kurt Cobain's life. Bands like The Beatles AND the Sex Pistols were his first influences, his dream was to blend the two together..so if "Punk never happened" there would be no Nirvana...Nirvana were more punk by creating their own unique sound than Green Day (just an example) doing exactly what every punk band was doing. Listen to "Scentless Apprentice," screaming vocals, hectic guitars, not giving a shit, PUNK. Any Green Day - boring, happy, nice songs.

  • best thing ive ever heard!!!

    "like"like"like"like"like"like"

  • amazing....

  • I'll get my coat

  • he is an absolute dude!!

  • the only song that makes me cry from being so inspirational.

  • Itch for pm (L)

  • yeah, i was refering back to some guy who said nirvana is punk.

  • Also, Nirvana is grunge/alternative, isn't it? @_@

  • @fufufuyen He does say Hippy/Grunge reality

  • How could you compare this guy to Eminem? what?

And this song is not only made to be political but to show people the influence of the music/people around you (the political was that those are controlled by the government) and how it makes people seem "apathetic" to obviously "wrong" things that are happening (which the government does). If you omit the parentheses, the meaning is still the same. Political or not, same shit. Fuck off

  • I love how he just remembers it all off the top of his head. I'd imagine its harder without music behind you.

  • everyone entitled to the opinions I love it however

wonder what he think of the student protets

  • @YouMuhummed wtf seriously after listening to this literary genius you bring up fucking eminem fet real

  • Brilliant!!

  • I bet Jonny got A*s in GCSE English hahaha.

  • what a cock

  • what a legend. i hugged him at guilfest :)

  • I'm speechless.

  • That was some powerful shit.

  • @MrRumpington He's referring to the parents, maybe you should re-work your paragraph?

  • @MrRumpington your retarded

  • @MrRumpington you're a Grade A mug,

  • are we all ready? 79's gonna repeat it's self. they'll look different, sound different and demonstrate in their own way but we are going to need the punks back... soon

  • Itch is a LEGEND, enough said.

  • bow down at his fukin feet

  • Fuck knows how he remembers the whole thing, but it's amazing. Truly is the punk rock version of eminem

  • wicked!

  • i love this song its so inspiring!

viva la punk just one life anarchy!!

  • @orangeambient

Mate you must hav no life, if you've never heard of rancid or the sex pistols or minor threat, u must sit in your room all day, watchin tv and readin book... get a grip.. PUNK ROCK HAS CHANGED THE WORLD MORE THAN ANY OTHER GENRE OF MUSIC!!!! VIVA LA PUNK!!!

  • Oh fack that, touched me inside and it made my back tingle, this guy is a legend!!!

    The King Blues ARE AWSOME!!!!

  • it done the same too me, but i just can't understand the guy's laughing at bit's when i listen to that i cannot think straight like puts you into a different state of mind, i am actually pissed at them guys laughing at the back.

  • this man is a legend, absolute poet

  • I love this song. It's my favourite :)

  • indeed where would we be without punk

where the hell would i be without the clash and the king blues on my ipod to get me through the days work

  • its a sick poem, but i'm bare confused about it.

cause all the stuff he mentioned did happen.

they did move cctv cameras in everywhere

they are making us carry id cards

land did get knocked down to build more land

    and yet punk did happen.

i'm not dissing it, i'm just confused, any pointers? or am i missing something

  • he is just talking about what would happen if punk never happened. doc brown takes him to "a place where punk never happened" clues are in the song everywhere

  • yea i know what you mean, but in this town where punk never happened, land got knocked down to build more land, they made them carry id cards

and they moved cctv cameras in everywhere and so on. but all this stuff happened any way, and so did punk.

don't wanna start an argument its just bare confusing.

  • anyone got an answer to my question?

  • yes

  • so i guess no one does then

  • nah i get it now its acctually bare clever. on a different level to the spice girls.

  • bare clever? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA

  • but punk rock isnt an influential music today

  • Yes it really is. Punk Rock influences all the other punk rock bands there is today. That's a very silly statement.

  • Comment removed

  • And what succseful punk rock bands are there today. . . offspring are considered punk but they arent influenced by classic punk. . sex pistols, clash , nah

  • I never said successful punk rock, in response to your reply, that was ignorant of you. And what is considered as successful? Rise Against, Alkaline Trio, Against Me! have all had relative 'success' but who gives a fuck about success. As long as it's good honest punk rock which brings joy to my ears then that's all that's needed. I like Blink 182 for fucks sake. But I also like Propagandhi, The Loved Ones, The Lawrence Arms, Dead To Me, The Aggrolites, and countless of other bands.

    Come on dude

  • who cares bout successful bands. . .Obviously alot of people thats why they are succseful iv'e never heard of half those bands you mention probably cause im not big into punk but also cause there not successful. There are stil clasical orchetra pieces being written today influenced by mozart and such so punk isnt that special. .. everything is an influence

  • @orangeambience faggot.

  • This actually makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!

  • dam right. he should do that performance at my school, im the only one with a good taste in music there

  • obviously not if you like the king blues l0l0l

  • Damn right nigga, mhm!

  • it's not just about the music...

  • He's a tiny little chap. Bless!

  • i want that t shirt

  • this is a great inspirational song... love em!

  • this guy doesnt know a thing about punk

  • piss off!

  • Agreed.

  • this makes me cry :')

  • 18/10 is my birthday when this was performed :D =]

  • This song is so inspirational and poetic.

I agree with you lildolly face, the passion with which he speaks these lyrics literally gives me goosebumps.

If anything, this is more of a poem than a song but these are some of the best lyrics ive ever heard.

The last verse brings tears to my eyes.

  • cocain & A Mars bar ? this man is on somthing more than mars bars and cocain haha

  • Beautiful, visceral, energetic and inspiring.

Its so much better live and accapella, so rousing, you can feel his passion hitting you full in the face. Its a massive wake up call

Viva la Punk! Just One Life! Anarchy!

    XxxXxxXxxXxxXxxXxxXxxXxxX

  • sum1 buy this man a pint!

  • I saw them last night, and towards the end he 'read' a poem in the same way he did this. it was probably my favourite part of the show, its an incredable gift

  • it works amazing as a poem as well as a song.

  • sends a shiver down my spine

  • Yeah I love that bit it's well clever :)

  • I can't wait to see this in bath:)

  • this guy is totally brilliant

  • <3 This band shows you just what music should be about.

  • Amazing!

  • He thinks he's black?

  • lol a little bit

  • dude.

hes watever colour he wants to be..

    what matters.. is... hes awesome.

    x

  • Actually, I'm sure he's aware of his skin colour. Luckily it has no impact on your difference to rhyme and mean it.

  • are you saying only blacks can use a put-on voice?

  • i was there and it was mezmerising boyyy.

    itch is a genius

  • notice how he didnt mention agnostic front, they wrote some racist lyrics thats why its madball instead of the obvious choice of agnostic front

  • Probably, then theres the difference in syllables and saying front twice which woulda fucked the flow and rhyme.

  • bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuutal!

  • These Guys are amazing

  • fugazi:epic problem

  • woooooooooow ;)!

  • this is the best thing ive ever heard.ever.punk rock is mine!!!!!!

  • Amazing!

  • lol check you darren, didnt think you knew these dudes

  • guys a genius..

  • why the fuck are people laughing?

  • Cos it's smart, fast, witty and true.

  • Goddamn. I love that so much. Fucking A

  • fucking hell! this band are something else! in a good way!
