Good song but I don't get it, Punk was Kurt Cobain's life. Bands like The Beatles AND the Sex Pistols were his first influences, his dream was to blend the two together..so if "Punk never happened" there would be no Nirvana...Nirvana were more punk by creating their own unique sound than Green Day (just an example) doing exactly what every punk band was doing. Listen to "Scentless Apprentice," screaming vocals, hectic guitars, not giving a shit, PUNK. Any Green Day - boring, happy, nice songs.

Rise Against, Alkaline Trio, Against Me! have all had relative 'success' but who gives a fuck about success.
