I think it's cool that Vaan is the main character but not everything revolves around him. It gives it much more beauty than if he and just him was supposed to save the world and all that bullcrap. This is way cooler. Though that's probably one of the best things about XII, they were all a team. Vaan was just used to get a nice introduction to everybody. He is the character that most people can relate to. He and penelo are normal citizens while all the others have a bigger role from the start.
@Kinmenfromholland Each move uses a unique weapon assigned for it. If you use the one move, it means you pick that move's weapon. If you use a different move next, it means you Switch to another weapon. This Switch makes this move powerful or have special effects. But if you use the same move, you don't Switch, and this move remains ordinary.
Spear move, then Spear move = ordinary.
Spear move, then Bow move = special effect.
Vaan becomes powerful when you alternate your weapons/moves.
Not to start trouble in anyway, but amazes me how so many people hated Vaan and complained about him, but when his fighting style was displayed in Dissidia 012, now everyone is on his dick.
Vaan ashe and Penelo were my lvl 99 in ffxii they were badass :] although Ashe kinda reminds me of Yuna and vaan of tidus but more realistically made idk haha :]
They shouldn't have included Tifa, out of all the FFVII characters they could've picked, tifa's a bit boring, imagine Barret, Red XIII, Yuffie or even Aeris! Cid would've worked but too similar to some other characters
This is like a mixture of all square enix games combined, I recognize the different sound effects and everything and the battles end like the boss battles in Kingdom Hearts. This is truly an amazing game, to bad I don't have a PSP T.T

@nova123 He wasn't lucky. He simply defeated a girl called Tifa. No matter who's the opponent, if you're good in a game, you can defeat everyone. Even if the loser is the no-so-great Cloud or the no-so-powerful Tifa.

@kmxloco He has alot of awsome and efficent Bravery attacks. But he also kinda has a limited HP attacks and some of them seem slow, to make things worse Vaan has no chain attacks. The only hope of inflicting any HP damage are chase attacks.
@AngelDrive9 hehehe that's where mind games come in. Versus a player, I try to use windburst as a diversion, then use torrent. Or, use bravery attacks all the time, then surprise with inferno. same as cataclysm. For AI, um, yeah, spam inferno lol

vaan's quickenings became wayyyyy too short. a few more seconds would have been enough to show their epicness Ie. Gigantic incoming tornado, strength of second fireball.

Ask yourself this: Did you actually feel like Cloud or Squall when playing FFVII and FFVIII? Answer is no. You actually felt like Vaan in FFXII as he said little which allowed you to slip into his role. It's a role-playing game, after all.
I didn't even know you could feint with Tifa until earlier when I was playing today, I accidentally did it. I was like, "What the Fuck!?", and decided to look it up.
Funny how you probably went for the direct translation however in the game tifa actually says "I think being naive is a problem too" or something along those lines but the voice actors sometimes do that
Has anyone else noticed that Vaan and Cloud have gone in opposite directions?
- Vaan was lame in FFXII and then became badass a year later in FFXII:RW. By the time of FFTA2, he's so badass that when his name is mentioned in a conversation, everyone knows who he is and marvel at his deeds.
- Cloud was badass in FFVII and did epic heroics. Then 2 years later in FFVII:AC he was lame and a wuss. By the time of DoC:FFVII, he's a nobody and only shown briefly in the game.

I didn't get to play this online in the first dissidia as my copy was imported, i could now since I can read katakana lol, but I'm reaaaalllly looking forward to facing the online community in dissidia. I love this fighting game, I love all fighting games in genereal, but I fucking love this game.
Final Fantasy 12 was a great game. i loved the fight sequence. Yeah there are flaws. but overall it was a nice game. lots of secret stuff. especially Yiazmat. loved playing with that overgrown lizard. xD

@ZenkiUltima You should have played without using Gambits for the party leader. That's how I played and when played like that, it was by far the best battle system in the series. Even better than FFXIII. If you put Gambits on everyone then you won't need to press buttons on the controller. I made sure I never let that happen.
@Galvanizer67 I guess your right. It was a fun game that had incredible graphics and a huge world to travel. I guess disappointing was the word I was looking for because I felt let down by the story. I like the epic character driven stories, and this one seemed to lack that. Also the main character stand in the background in most of the cut scenes.
@onlyelisha Yeah, if you play mainly for story and character development then you won't really like FFXII. Personally, I play games for gameplay so I loved the new battle system and the size of the world. The world really felt like an actual place. I personally see Vaan as the player POV to a story about Ashe and Balthier.

@DrakeClawfang They still haven't fixed the angle to see your enemy from above, the mages are still cheap, not sure of EXdeath, he might have been nerfed. Oh, and you can spam Laguna's satellite move. I wonder about Yuna, as you can spam your way against a level 10 opponent with a level 1 Yuna just by spamming Thor's hammer.

@Asuperfungi Sorry? Alright, i'll tell you what's new and different!! 1. Chase attacks are quicker 2. Ex revenge (stops time if you activate Ex mode when attacked.) 3. Be Chaos (not the real one) 4. More characters 5. The regular characters (from Dissidia) have some more HP attacks 6. Walk trough the world map. 7 Battles become more harder than the lv 100 fights in the previous Dissidia 8. More accesoires. 9. More equipment. 10. more summons. So... no difference? Think again!!

Has anyone else noticed that Vaan and Cloud have gone in opposite directions?
- Vaan was lame in FFXII and then became badass a year later in FFXII:RW. By the time of FFTA2, he's so badass that when his name is mentioned in a conversation, everyone knows who he is and marvel at his deeds.
- Cloud was badass in FFVII and did epic heroics. Then 2 years later in FFVII:AC he was lame and a wuss. By the time of DoC:FFVII, he's a nobody and only shown briefly in the game.

I didn't get to play this online in the first dissidia as my copy was imported, i could now since I can read katakana lol, but I'm reaaaalllly looking forward to facing the online community in dissidia. I love this fighting game, I love all fighting games in genereal, but I fucking love this game.

Final Fantasy 12 was a great game. i loved the fight sequence. Yeah there are flaws. but overall it was a nice game. lots of secret stuff. especially Yiazmat. loved playing with that overgrown lizard. xD

@ZenkiUltima You should have played without using Gambits for the party leader. That's how I played and when played like that, it was by far the best battle system in the series. Even better than FFXIII. If you put Gambits on everyone then you won't need to press buttons on the controller. I made sure I never let that happen.

@Galvanizer67 I guess your right. It was a fun game that had incredible graphics and a huge world to travel. I guess disappointing was the word I was looking for because I felt let down by the story. I like the epic character driven stories, and this one seemed to lack that. Also the main character stand in the background in most of the cut scenes.

@onlyelisha Yeah, if you play mainly for story and character development then you won't really like FFXII. Personally, I play games for gameplay so I loved the new battle system and the size of the world. The world really felt like an actual place. I personally see Vaan as the player POV to a story about Ashe and Balthier.

I still don't see any change in game play. The game is just so repetitive and gets boring real quick. I wish when they decided to make this style of game it would be better. I think it would be sweet if it was more like soul calibur.

I hated part 1 because it got boring really quick like the other guy said since all you did is spam skills and crap, and they forced you into high leveled opponents which could kill you in 1 hit like is there any changes? This looks kind of better than the orginial Dissidia, but I honestly don't see any changes, I hope they just didn't only add new characters...

@DrakeClawfang They still haven't fixed the angle to see your enemy from above, the mages are still cheap, not sure of EXdeath, he might have been nerfed. Oh, and you can spam Laguna's satellite move. I wonder about Yuna, as you can spam your way against a level 10 opponent with a level 1 Yuna just by spamming Thor's hammer.

@DrakeClawfang probably not if they finds it boring. or maybe they just lack taste. anyways, regardless of how it looks (which is epic in my opinion) the game's a lot of fun, especially with friends. only thing i think is missing is online multiplayer, but i could see that being super laggy :/
