I think they are in the section for party decorations. I am not positive as I have to drive one and half hours and I was only there one time (after this tutorial to find the bags.)
Hello, don't know if Laura got back to you, but, I noticed that the Michaels website is like an online advertisement site, I can never order from them online. But When I got to the Michaels store they always have the bags there. I hope this helps you. So, okgood luck!
Hi Laura! I found you from Iscraphappy. She made a family mini that I just loved and she mentioned she got the idea from you. I really love how you create your mini's! I have a question...when you are putting the fabric and burlap and laces on the cover and the spine, what adhesives are you using? I have a fabric glue and a paper craft glue, then some snail adhesives, what do you recommend?
oooooooh, I just left a comment on the previous tutorial (#1)...and saw this one...hahahahaha!! I didn't realize I did this twice to the same person. See how much you get around..?..everyone mentions you! Keep it up!
Hi Laura - I use paper to cover my chipboard covers and for the spine I use a piece of cardstock that I have run through the corrugator. It has the "give" that you need and looks great. I attach it first to both covers then cover it with the paper.
Thank you for showing us how to make this. It is wonderful! And I love the one you showed with the faux fur. So adorable! You have inspired me to incorperate fabrics. Thank you so much!
i LOVE how you incorporate fabrics into your minis. love it! that little mini with the faux fur trim is so cute :)! thanks for sharing & teaching! much aloha~! steph :) happy thanksgiving!!!
Awesome! Thank you for sharing! One question how do you secure the hair tie to the hinge fastener? Is it just looped on either end? Wouldn't it just pop off when you un hook? Help!
Thank you so much, it is beautiful. So amazing!!! You are a great teacher, so easy to understand and so talented. I have one question, when decorating your covers with heavy embellishments what do you use for glue?
Maravilloso trabajo, excelente.

This is soooo lovely. Again!
Question: I see you use colored bags. We only have the kraft or white ones, if I can find any at all! :-<
How do you color those? Just with paper?

If it's shiny I use Glossy Accents, otherwise I use white craft glue. If it's really heavy, I'm not above breaking out the hot glue!
