Gary Bettman had NOTHING to do with the outcome, & I'm a Leafs fan. They still had a chance to win it in Game 7...but it wasn't meant to be. If you do want to rail on Fraser for missing the obvious high stick by Gretzky on Gilmour, then go right ahead & be my guest. At least Fraser owned up to hi mistake years later, but by then, it was MUCH too late.:-(
I've been a Canadiens fan since 1953, and I dearly wanted a Canadiens-Leafs final, althoough I then lived in Los Angeles (and still do). I must say I feared Gilmour more than any other rival player after watching him lead Calgary over the Canadiens in the 1989 final. He was awesome then and still was in the 1993 playoffs. He was the player you hated when he played against you but would love if he played with you. This video series brought back many memories of an incredible playoff year.
as a diehard leaf fan its tough to swallow how close we came and how everyone played their role on that team... if only hockey were still the same way.. the good old gritty playoff hockey where each player puts their life on the line every shift

i used to have this video passion returns. I dont think i ever saw wendel clark play better then games 6/7 verse LA. He scored 5 goals. He will always be remembered for his heart and soul but he did everything possible to get TO to the finals. WENDEL is GOD
