i think we're down to one last bait shop in buffalo are ,big catch on Niagara but they don't open til 9am

I just caught a 9 inch white perch today, They were spawning in the shallows and won't bite. So i rigged up a number two treble and snagged them. only landed one but snagged six or seven.

bill, what do ya use for perch i find crawlers good but the fish are burnt out on crawlers, gonna try for chinooks and sturgeon tommorow, weird combo but it works.

emerald shiners.the fish are kind of finicky where i fish -they rather eat a dried up salted emerald shiner than a fathead minnow or a worm-although a lot of huge perch are caught by the walleye trollers using nightcrawlers on a worm harness -good luck with the fishin tomorrow

it was april 27- the bass season dosn't open till 3rd sat in june round here- besides perch are so much better. we were hoping to land a few erie monster 2-3 lb perch- usually i'm happy to catch anything

To catch perch i use a small red and white spoon, with a J hook and a peice of raw beef with red food coloring. Thats what i have had mose luck on up here in saskatchwan. This bait also works for walleye and Pike.

guys i know have been getting 50 fish limits of jumbo perch 12-16" range.we were lucky to get enogh for a fishfry after the storms yeaterday afternoon stirred up the lake-at least the bass were biting
