i think the best album is Light Grenades. I've been with Incubus since the beginning and I've seen them on almost every tour ( i was only like 8 during the first ones, so I was to little to go, but I still listened! haha) and they've grown so much as song writers and musicians. Light Grenades sounds complete, professional and mature from start to finish. It's amazing.

This is why Incubus is so good.. Looking at this style to their current style, they re-invent themselves. And better yet, they're good at every style they approach. Incubus is a true band.
i love the bass on this whole album. Before i found out that they toured with Primus i could taste a little bit of them on this album. Primus Sucks!!!!!!!!!!
All their albums have been significantly different from each other. Every time they come out with a new one, I absolutely hate it the first time I listen to it and then it grows on me. I can appreciate new Incubus just as much as old and I think it's fun to see the transitions in their music over the years. I won't lie, I miss the super funky bass lines, but I don't mind change all the same.

Half right. This song was on both Fungus Amongus and Enjoy Incubus. All the songs on Enjoy Incubus except for Version and Azwethinkweiz are simply remastered versions of the Fungus versions, simply with DJ Lyfe added onto the tracks.
I plan on uploading the Enjoy Incubus album very soon anyway...

Well, mainstream is pretty much synonymous with well-known. Incubus isn't a band of sell-outs by any means, but they're definitely mainstream. I won't say that all of their albums were good in my opinion, but there is definitely a fanbase for all of them. Incubus is very prone to changing their style and that inevitably leads to a rift between the fans over who likes what. Contradicting opinions means you have a different opinion. It is only by contradicting FACT that one becomes an idiot.

They switched their style because they grew out of it. As an artist who has undergone the same process, I'll have to stand by Incubus on this matter. I think a many of us would like the band a lot less if they weren't always changing and growing.
I really didn't like most of Light Grenades. The lyrics weren't as good as in most of their previous albums. So if lyrical genius is what attracted you to Incubus, LG probably won't be your cup of tea. The same can generally be said for people who became fans because of the funky overtones. Just about everything before LG is great, in my opinion, though.

@bobzechikon Incubus can do anything. they have definitely demonstrated that throughout their career. especially on a cd like Make Yourself where they have funky stuff like Battlestar Scralatchtica but they also have a song like drive, which is a good song, but it is also very mainstream. I never said Light Grenades was terrible. But you must admit that it is very mainstream compared to this cd and Science.

incubus has been about doing what they want to do, weather its funk fusion,alt rock,balads or even incorperating several types of music on one track.
these guys do what so many of these so called "rockstarts" today can never do and thats be original.
you all need to recognize

you said it. I never heard this album before, only S.C.I.E.N.C.E. and I thought that was funk y until I heard this. The Patton influence is even more apparent here.

incubus was to funky back then love them do u hear that bass slapping the drummer having fun with those ghost notes the guitarist having fun as well this band was just so tight and the music flowing from them was unstoppable i love stellar and all those other songs but i just thought fungus was more technical musically wise

Yes I agree with ProfetaParanoia, when INcubus lost there Funk/Metal, Experimental sound they went down hill. people seem to like there ndw stuff more than there old stuff. which i dont understand

how can you say this stuff is better than songs like pardon me, stellar, drive, wish you were here, nice to know you, echo, warning, dig, and ANY other songs from their albums after science. I like all of incubus' stuff but to say this is better than their newer stuff, the stuff that made them famous, is just not right in my eyes.

Half right. This song was on both Fungus Amongus and Enjoy Incubus. All the songs on Enjoy Incubus except for Version and Azwethinkweiz are simply remastered versions of the Fungus versions, simply with DJ Lyfe added onto the tracks.
I plan on uploading the Enjoy Incubus album very soon anyway...

SCIENCE, yes, but ACLOTM is a really bad album.
Fungus Amongus, Enjoy and SCIENCE are their bests albums. from there on, it's just downhill..... :(

Well, mainstream is pretty much synonymous with well-known. Incubus isn't a band of sell-outs by any means, but they're definitely mainstream. I won't say that all of their albums were good in my opinion, but there is definitely a fanbase for all of them. Incubus is very prone to changing their style and that inevitably leads to a rift between the fans over who likes what. Contradicting opinions means you have a different opinion. It is only by contradicting FACT that one becomes an idiot.

your an idiot and you dont know the difference between shit in the world of music. fungus amongus and morning view were incubus' only good albums, like there whole album was good, and everything else after that was like shit pouring from their instruments....they went soft and lost all contact with their original sound...they switched their style to selll more albums...aka: sellouts

They switched their style because they grew out of it. As an artist who has undergone the same process, I'll have to stand by Incubus on this matter. I think a many of us would like the band a lot less if they weren't always changing and growing.

I really didn't like most of Light Grenades. The lyrics weren't as good as in most of their previous albums. So if lyrical genius is what attracted you to Incubus, LG probably won't be your cup of tea. The same can generally be said for people who became fans because of the funky overtones. Just about everything before LG is great, in my opinion, though.

@bobzechikon Incubus can do anything. they have definitely demonstrated that throughout their career. especially on a cd like Make Yourself where they have funky stuff like Battlestar Scralatchtica but they also have a song like drive, which is a good song, but it is also very mainstream. I never said Light Grenades was terrible. But you must admit that it is very mainstream compared to this cd and Science.
