Hunte is 20 miles from me. They load them on 18 wheelers and those trucks smell of urine and poop. They ship their product as far away as New York. Never buy from a pet store.

Unfortunately, Puppy mills treat their dogs as commodities/slaves....Then better laws and law enforcement need to be in place to ensure some minimum standards of humane treatment of animals is required. Poor dogs. Humans can be so unfeeling, greedy and selfish.

Puppy mills can be profitable and still humane and decent. It is up to the owners/operator's sense of decency to uphold better standards for their breeding dogs. They are just too lazy, too greedy or they feel that dogs do not deserve better. Technically the breeding dogs are employees of puppy mills. Like any business, you can exploit your workers and let them work to death without any benefits...excellent companies treat their employees very well and stay in business for the long haul.

Puppy mills should all be closed.  There are enough shelter dogs that die to replace puppy mill dogs.

this is crazy , it people like this that makes is hard for consumer, i dont understand why people dont buy directly from a breeder instead of a puppy store , less money and you can see the parents and facilities as well...
