This music reminds me of the holiday in southern France in 2007 because we have always heard Gregorian and if I remember I have to cry! For it was indescribable Camping Le Soleil Argeles Sur-Mer? <33
Music is one thing that is always changing. One creates music by adding somethey like the sound of to something else they stumbled on or liked. It's evolution at its best. This is just one example. I am a Christian, but Christ didn't teach us songs. We are told in Psalms to make a joyful noise unto the Lord.
To respond to the poster's lament, some music (not this, really) is awash in unctuous and cloying oils of religious ecstasy, and are specifically written (or posted) to promote a religious agenda! Such music can be seen, ipso facto, as an insidious instrument to force-feed religious Kool-Aid to whomever will listen. Because YouTube is a place to exchange views - not just a place to watch and listen - it is quite reasonable to expect comment about this, and other, aspects of what is posted!
there's tons of atheists who don't listen to any "rotten music and movies." you're generalizing big time with a lot of what you're saying. it's annoying, really. so how about everyone shut the hell up about this stupid debate that isn't going to change anyone's mind and listen to the "rotten" music? how about that? or maybe leave the page, you might be ushered to hell, what with all the satanic and profane lyrics of phil collins.
I'm an atheist and I still enjoy this kind've music. It's not religious music- it's music that was incorperated into religion because it sounds so good and spiritual.
just as a point im not christian, but i still love this music, and being buddhist it reminds me of the monks chanting, so its not only church goers that like it!.
What bout us who love Gregorian chant through our Catholic Church? And, it is that simple! We also enjoy hearing it applied to our favorite songs of the day...No harm done! Nothing evil! I love Jesus Christ and my faith in God is strong and I absolutely love hearing our chant...and this group Gregorian happens to be able to blend our love for Catholic chant with our love for music. I also love listening to the original old church chant...and I do! Chill out about finding evil everywhere...Geez!
@rootytuners, was you there at the time that THIS didn't happen or THAT didn't happen ? No, as you must be human, so you were born recently and will die somewhere around your alloted 3 scores and 10 life span as we all are,the tip-off for life,the universe and everything is in the bible and 89 years in any college or university will only confuse you and others away from a written and given explanation of life,the universe and everything that is inspired by the creator of all that.
I do not agree. I do not have 'faith' in what historians offer as evidence. I do not require faith. I have reasoned confidence of varying degrees. There is no virtue in arbitrary absolutes.
Science doesn't claim to establish truth - it establishes probabilities and degrees of accuracy; open to continuous refinement. Conversely, Theology is merely a primitive mix of myth, intuition and fantasy. It requires faith else it falls.
Empathy indicates rape is wrong, not proclamations nor science.
Ok the music is so woderfull but RevHeneryMombassa you have the closed mind of all zelots of any fath or religon is the opium of the masses if man has a spritatiy side then it for the induviale to find ther own path oh yes i a born agin non belever
Be careful with this band. This group has been identified as singing Satanic lyrics. Catholic Bishops have denounced this group as masquerading as a Christian group. Using the sacred chant with profane lyrics. Tip: Look up Gregorian's rendition of "Hell's Bells" on YouTube and then look up the lyrics. Here is a sample:
@FruitabuX Plenty of people who are interested in the truth, and the truth is that the voice of Satan speaks through those who do not believe in Satan. As for Catholicism and Christianity, Jesus Christ did not hand out Bibles, He established a Church: the Bible came to us from God through the Catholic Church. "Catholic" is the Greek word for "universal". Protestantism was fathered by an ex-Catholic named Martin Luther.
@PraisedBeJesus It is a song, we are not succumbed to the lyrics of a song unless we choose to, I listen to this group because of the melody, and the vocal range that makes me feel better, I could care less what the lyrics talk about. I don't listen to a song for the lyrics, I listen to it for the vibrations.
@Jhartsock123 The problem is that many people do not realize of the reality of Satan, fallen angels and the river of deception that is dragging souls into eternal damnation. This group has been identified as masquerading as a Christian group, when in fact many of their lyrics are Satanic. It may sound ridiculous and crazy, but the devil is very active in this world today and people are channels through which he lulls many into an eternal separation from God...
@ResonanceSD Satan is the father of lies and half truths and he operates through the voices of people who who don't think he exists. True Gregorian Chants glorify God. This group calls itself Gregorian but some of the lyrics they sing are Satanic, i.e. their "Hells Bells" video..
@PraisedBeJesus Judge not lest ye be judged. Did Jesus tell the prostitute she was going to hell for practicing the work of the devil? I think not. Get off of it, it's people like you who make me realize how bogus Christianity is. Also, if you actually listened to what Jesus was trying to say you'd realize he was veering people away from the lies of the god of the old testament, who in my opinion is worse than "satan". But that's my opinion. Good luck on your Jesus quest.
@branscombesurf It's rather silly how people know that one line from Sacred Scripture by heart, and immediately use it to justify any behavior while not realizing what it actually means. The fact that this group sings Satanic verses (I furnished the lyrics above) and the Bishops of the Church have warned about this group. The problem is that people these days are so easily being swept down a polluted river of darkness and lies which drags people away from God and into eternal damnation..
"Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." I fear these chaps would be burned in a ditch if they came to my district.(Not that I approve of that kind of thing.)
The flock must heed the Bishops of the Church! Which Bishops by the way? Anglican? I rather hope I am batting for the right side on this! (LOL.)
If the devil can make a donkey speak, then getting a record deal for these lads is small potatoes.
@RevHenryMombassa We are to pray for people who unwittingly use their voices and talents to further the work of Satan. As for which bishops, only the ones which have true apostolic succession, namely the bishops of the Catholic Church, that is, the original Church established by Christ. But the devil is the master of deceit and he deceives worldly individuals into thinking that good is bad and that bad is good..
@RevHenryMombassa No. Instead, I think the spirits of darkness are the ones laughing at how easy it is to use human puppets to further their cause, namely the separation of soul from God into eternal damnation through deception..
Where do you drawer the lines, and on what grounds?
You seem to know the minds of both God and Satan, so please let us know, what are the precise rules to this business?
Should the righteous avoid a particular artist? A particular album? A song? A record label? YouTube?
It seems to me that if you are to be consistent, you should keep your mischievous little hands off the entire internet. Why are you here in the devil's playground?
@rootytuners We live in the world, thus one should be aware of the dangers and bad influences that are lurking, especially in music, movies and television, which are the means through which spiritually rotten seeds are planted in the minds and hearts of people. Propaganda is very powerful, especially when it masquerades as something harmless or even good. The power of propaganda is that human beings can be herded like cattle down any path. Pumping satanic lyrics in your mind will have an effect
Instead you dribble your rantings of self delusion of the utmost arrogance - claiming you know the mind of Satan and God. Do you think your God is that weak? Really? These guys simply sing a ditty that you disapprove of and it's the triumph of evil?
You are quite the side-show. Please don't stop - you speak volumes for your 'faith'.
Every time you load this page, these guys sing again for Lucifer; and I hear God say, "D'oh!"
@rootytuners Gregorian Chants are the central tradition of liturgical music within Western Christianity and accompany the sacred celebration of Mass, and are named after Pope Gregory the Great. Gregorian chants are also part of the monastic life of singing psalms and the praises and glory due to almighty God. The band "Gregorian" chants profane, and, as I have shown you, satanic lyrics--thus the statement by the Catholic bishops. This page does not load their demonic rendition of "Hell's Bells".
Opening this page loads the band that you've prescribed as in league with your demonic fantasy. More bizarrely, it loads your very own personal transcription of the actual song lyrics that you claim to be of direct influence from Satan.
Not only are you claiming that God is so weak that he's undermined by a YouTube clip, and that your fellow Christians are too stupid to tell covers of pop songs from prayer, but you are propagating and promoting the offending lyrics too!!
@rootytuners Don't be silly, the lyrics are on display for people to realize what kind of messages this group sings. So the more people see them and read them the more they will be informed that "Gregorian" is dabbling with some pretty rotten stuff. Though you're certainly free to pound their music into your head. But be aware that Satan is a spirit, and he operates through the intellect to numb man into gradually becoming indifferent to those who will drag your soul into damnation...
@PraisedBeJesus Personally I think Satan is just seriously misunderstood. And besides, God can probably take lyrics of a song in his stride, no matter who they are sung by and as such by simply being aware of the "Satanic" lyrics if one really wants to/feels the need to they can distance themselves from such evil.
@rvbyxx42 Evil is the absence of goodness, much like darkness is the absence of light. But evil is as real as your existence, and your soul will either end up in hell or in heaven at the end of your life. If you want to get a glimpse of Satan's world, merely search for "Satanic mass". You will see the hatred Satan has for God. God is Truth, Goodness and Love itself, thus your intellect is made for truth and your will for goodness and love. Those who produce satanic lyrics are rejecting God.
Search for "Satanic mass"? You spend a lot of time focusing on this Satan fellow.
To most rational people, the concept is a (comical) vestige of medieval paranoia, built into mythical persona.
However, since you claim to be an authority on the whole set up, can you share with us the reason such an evil opponent of your god seems to spend his time in the apparent employ of his nemesis by running a little place called Hell? Seems like if he closed up shop, he'd have 'won'.
@rootytuners The problem is that many people have been conditioned into thinking that Satan and evil spirits do not exist. This universe is made up of systems which are governed by laws; even you are made up of systems--skeletal, muscular, nervous, digestive, reproductive, respiratory, etc.-and these are subject tot he laws of nature. But your soul is governed by the laws of the spirit. Hell is the consequence of sin because sin separates you from God. To die without God is an eternal hell..
@rootytuners Don't be silly. Satan is not metaphorical. Satan is real and his influence can be seen in the world. Understand that angels have no body, they are beings of pure intellect and will. Fallen angels demonized themselves, just as man can demonize himself by the free choices he makes with his intellect and will. Satan hates all human beings because we are made in the image and likeness of God. Satan wants to destroy us by influencing our free choices so that we too may be damned.
You seem to know a lot about Satan, angels and demons. Where are you channeling this personalized concept of the universe from?
It seems to me that you are reading a lot into Milton's 'Paradise Lost', the Book of Enoch, together with a million trashy movies. There is absolutely no basis for your rather dated (and unsubstantiated) metaphors in reality.
This is fantasy, built on myth, built on allegory.
Where is Satan's influence seen in the world? Is it in things you dislike?
@rootytuners Not my personalized concept; rather it is the teaching of the same Church which assembled the Bible in the first place--The Catholic Church. But the reality of Satan and demons is not only backed up by sound theology; their reality finds expression everywhere in the world---from the bestial acts of man to Satanic music and hellish NDEs related by thousands from all walks of life. Satan is also behind the suicides of people who seemingly have everything--fame, fortune and health..
"Sound theology" - please define the phrase; I can't imagine what such an oxymoron means in reality. It's like the phrase "accurate mythology".
When did the Catholic Church start getting it right? Or, are you saying that the church has always been right on demons? If so, I guess we can conclude that you are in favor of witch burning (which continues in its ghastly reality even in Africa today).
Your imprecise generalities are nothing more than dangerous allegory.
@rootytuners Mythology is the study of cultural myths. Biology is the study of organic life. Astronomy studies the universe, Psychology studies the human psyche. Theology is the study of God. God is Truth, Goodness and Love itself, thus the purpose of your intellect and will is the service of truth, goodness, and love (God). Doctrine teaches the truths about God and the way to salvation. Witch burning is not doctrine, but rather a cultural death penalty which was usually done by panicked mobs.
You erroneously used the past tense when referring to 'witch burning'. Far from panicked mobs, the practice has a history of highly orchestrated procedures backed by 'theologians'. It has traditionally involved legal endorsement by religiously controlled societies.
Biology, psychology and astronomy are sciences. Mythology, and theology are not. Theology is not based on reality; resulting in zero consensus between remote theologians.
@rootytuners Centuries ago some witches were condemned to death. But the death penalty continues today for all sorts of reasons. But that has nothing to do with doctrine. People practice the occult today as they did centuries ago. Satanic child sacrifices go on today more often than you think even in the heart of modern cities. But theology is founded on the formidable power of reason and the truth as revealed by Christ. The problem is the lie of atheism which has infected the minds of some.
Theology is not based exclusively on Christ. Theology is the contemplation of the religious as they consider the notions of their gods, whether Christ or any other religion or deity. This alone tells you that most (if not all) theologians must be wrong.
Theology has nothing in common with 'reason'.
Witch punishment is explicit in your Bible - or doctrine.
Atheists have never 'sacrificed' children; that pastime has always been reserved for the religiously inclined.
@rootytuners Theology is an activity peculiar to Christianity; for example, there is no such thing as "Buddhist theology", instead Buddhism has a philosophy, which is a much different thing than theology. Within theology there are branches, such as Teleology, which studies the purposefulness of things, and Ontology which studies the nature of Being. Theology, like mathematics, uses reason to arrive at certain realities. But atheism is a psychological condition, not a rational conclusion..
Theology does not use reason 'like mathematics'. It is the very antithesis of the reason as employed in mathematics.
Take as many isolated mathematicians as you wish and with enough time, they will all converge on the same conclusions. The same number of isolated theologists will produce as many doctrines as there are theologians.
As we have seen, to maintain conformity of theology, violence has been a favored tool of the religious since time began.
@rootytuners Mathematics uses reason and logic. Reason can lead you to certain truths about our existence. For example, reason alone demands that you believe a person wrote the lines of text you are reading right now, even though you do not see me. Likewise, theology arrives at certain truths about God. But violence has been a favorite tool of man since the dawn of humanity, including atheists. But every civilization has always reasoned a Creator because reason demands it. Satan is also real..
You're using the allegory of mathematics to try to illustrate your religious (and unfounded) beliefs, not prove them.
I have no way of knowing if a person wrote the words I am replying to. I have confidence based on available evidence and probability - nothing more. I could be wrong, and if shown to be inaccurate on my assumption, I would amend my conclusion. That's a big difference between reason & religion.
Violence is not used to enforce 'reality' outside of religion.
@rootytuners If you claim to have no way of knowing that a person wrote these lines of text that you are reading right now, then your belief is based on faith. The problem with atheist is that they speak out of the psychological need to negate God, rather than on reason---thus the nonsensical statements based on emotion. But again, all civilizations since the dawn of humanity have reasoned a higher being behind the existence of the cosmos. Yet only rational can commit immoral acts like murder..
I said I was 'confident' that I was conversing with a person; very confident. I don't need 'to believe' or have 'faith'. However, if evidence were presented that tipped the balance of probability, then of course I would reassess the situation. That's evidence and probability, not blind faith, belief or dogma.
I don't claim to 'know'. I claim to value rational thought and reasoning. Belief and faith are not traits I consider virtuous; and belief in obvious myths, even less so.
@rootytuners Realize that just about everything you claim to accept as truth is based on faith and reason. For example, you probably believe that George Washington was the first president of the United States and that he crossed the Delaware on Dec. 25, 1776 during the American revolutionary War. You accept these facts as being truth, not because you knew George, or because you witnessed him alive, but because you have faith in the witnesses who spoke about him. Faith and reason go together..
I am *confident* in the accuracy of reports that George Washington was actually the first president of the United States. Correct.
Nothing in the consensus of historians, existing documentation, nor institutions derived from the creation of the USA presidency conflict with this reasonable assumption.
The Washington cherry tree story however, is not one I accept as accurate. It's probably a myth and an allegory.
Demons, devils, angels - not rational, not comparable.
@rootytuners Then you agree then that your belief in George Washington is based on your faith in what historians teach you, and not science or your personal witness. As for science, the problem is that you fail to understand how science works. Realize that science cannot prove the scientific method; you believe the scientific method is true but you cannot prove it. What's more, there are things that science simply cannot prove, for example, science cannot prove that rape is evil. CONTINUED>>>
@rootytuners (PART 2) Realize that there’s nothing wrong with the scientific method for testing the kinds of things science is meant to test. However, it is fundamentally naive to believe that science is be able to test everything. If you were better educated you would realize that science cannot prove moral, logical, historical, or experimental truths. Theology does not make merely esoteric claims; it makes claims about logic, science, history, philosophy, and reality itself based on evidence..
The scientific method does not prove 'truth', it deals with refinement towards greater accuracy. But, it is undeniable that myths and ancient unsubstantiated anecdotes are unreliable in this regard.
The abundant claims made by Theology have been seen to be totally unreliable and absurd whenever tested rationally. Why would 'faith' be a required Christian virtue otherwise?
First your argument centers on trashing the scientific method, then it claims Theology is the same thing.
@rootytuners I'm not trashing the scientific method. What I'm telling you is that you do not understand what the scientific method does. The scientific method is good for testing the kinds of things it was meant to test. It doesn't take faith to believe in the existence of God, it takes reason. Thus all civilizations since the dawn of man has reasoned a Creator. But It does take faith to believe in Christ, just as you may or may not have faith in your mother CONTINUED>>>
I understand the scientific method quite satisfactorily..
There has never been reliable evidence for god or demon. Quite the reverse. Severe weather, disease, madness, the 'heavenly bodies', all were once held as manifestations of the divine, mysterious or demonic. Not any more.
Only the most ineffective, stubborn, and delusional can see even the tiniest space for demons & spirits. And even amongst these, the perceived influence shrinks as knowledge and understanding expands.
@rootytuners I ask again,, what evidence for God or demons do you require? The Big Bang Theory explains that time and matter came into existence together, thus the Cause of both time and matter is outside of time and matter itself, in other words, the Cause is Eternal and Spiritual. It is also Rational, being that the cosmos us comprehensible through the logical language of mathematics. The problem is that you're living not knowing what the purpose of life itself is, and that leads to disaster..
Theology has nothing in common with logic. And even logic is unreliable & fruitless when it is flawed.
Trigonometry has at least two aspects that theology lacks - it is demonstrable, and useful. Counting can be demonstrated, and not only helps understand immediate reality, but it can 'predict'. This falls into the notion of evidence - something Theology does not have.
The problem is certainly that I don't 'believe' in your god - the premise collapses without blind 'faith'
@rootytuners Here you have eyes, ears, hands, feet, lungs, etc. and you don´t even know what the purpose of your existence is? If you think that the world, with all its wonders simply "bubbled up" accidentally then you certainly have been duped by Satan. Again, as evidenced by the Big Bang theory, the Cause of the universe is 1) Outside of time (Eternal), 2) Outside of matter (Spiritual) and 3) Rational (The universe is comprehensible through the logical language of mathematics)..
You can propose your preposterous mythical story, but any consensus on such a fantasy requires supporting evidence. As an advocate of such folktale, the burden is yours to provide convincing evidence.
Rudimentary details of cosmology don't suggest the need of an absurd hypothesis involving the personality of your God and a rival called Satan.
Theology's absolutes & certainties are extreme arrogance - especially as their pronouncements fall again & again in the face of reality.
@rootytuners Again, what kind of evidence do you require for the existence of God? Reason alone forces you to conclude that your computer didn't bubble up accidentally without a rational cause. You would call it stupid to think so. Yet you seem to think it's reasonable to conclude that all the systems which make up the cosmos and the w¡laws which govern them all accidentally bubble up. Atheism is a psychological condition, not a rational conclusion. The problem is that sin blinds the mind..
You have the dubious skill of throwing out false dichotomies & logical fallacies. It's not your fault, you are invoking the mantra of theologians who have confused you so successfully.
What evidence would you require to believe Krishna, Odin, Ra, Osiris or any of a million deities. Do you share my atheism in regard to these gods. Why is that? My list has only one more deity than yours.
First provide the evidence for *a* god, then *your* god.
@rootytuners Again, the world just didn't simply bubble up accidentally as your atheism demands. There's a reason why we can calculate the exact time of sunrise 10,000 years from now. All civilizations have reasoned a higher intelligence behind the universe, and all have formulated their concept of what and who God is. But man is finite and God is infinite, thus in order to know God, it was God who revealed Himself and reached down to man, so that we may know Him ans His purpose for us. Cont>>>>
You conclude this world didn't bubble up accidentally (I have no way of knowing), yet you conclude that your God *did* bubble up accidentally.
Civilizations have indeed invented gods to explain phenomena around them. They had no other explanations, and ignorance arbors a vacuum. Any nonsense will suffice for a primitive mind, but not knowing absolutes and suspending judgment is satisfactory to the wise.
God revealed himself to man only in the same manner as post-mortem Elvis.
In 5th Dynasty Egypt - banks of the Nile. An elder discusses Ra with a child.
Child, "How do you know that bright orb in the sky is Ra?"
Elder, "We know it is Ra because of reason & logic. You have no other explanation for the light we see - therefore, it must be Ra. And he hates a band called 'Gregorian'."
Child: "Maybe the light is a massive body of nuclear reactions that we orbit at great distance."
Elder: "Don't be silly. Fusion hasn't been discovered yet. Trust me."
@rootytuners ..Cont>>> Reason alone forces you to conclude that the lines of text you're reading now were written by an intellect. This is because you can decipher a code we call the English Language. Likewise, the fact that the universe is comprehensible through mathematics is proof of a rational mind behind the Laws which govern the cosmos. One doesn't need the Bible to believe there is a God. All civilization shave reasoned a God. The Bible tells you the point of your existence..
You are of course correct that you do not need a Bible to believe in the nebulous notion of a generic god.
But you do need the Bible (along with access to the omitted Book of Enoch), and a smattering of Milton's Paradise Lost to recognize the absolute nonsense that a fallen angel called Satan is trying to manipulate your mind with a musical combo featured on several YouTube videos - which was your original preposterous claim.
@rootytuners So go ahead and don't believe; I don't expect an atheist to believe in Satan if his mind is bent on denying the existence of God. You are free to not believe in the laws of gravity, it doesn't mean the laws won't apply to you. But Gregorian Chants are Christian chants which praise God, whereas "Gregorian" the band chant Satanic and profane lyrics, the point of my post in the first place. As for atheism, notice how you avoid my simple questions. Tell me, how did the world bubble up?
Isn't it strange that you use gravity as the standard for undeniable fact? The Catholic Church took three hundred years to acknowledge the blatant evidence on the subject. They ruined Galileo Galilee, and locked him up in denial of the obvious, even when spoon fed the evidence. The laws of gravity and science were denied in the name of your superstition and dogma.
I do not claim to know how the world bubbled up. But that doesn't give a free pass to your God & Satan fable.
@rootytuners The laws of gravity merely prove the necessity for a Law Maker. But let's understand your logic. You claim that the world with all its wonders, the natural laws, symmetry, harmony, DNA, men, women, hands, ears, eyeballs, reproductive systems, sperm, elephants, flowers, birds, the precision of earth's rotation,etc. all accidentally bubbled up in the void of space. At the same time you claim it is absolutely impossible for a computer to accidentally assemble itself. Is this right?
Laws require a law maker? Logical fallacy. 'Scientific law' is a definition of convenience not commands. They do not suggest a law maker. Molecules & matter do not follow laws for fear of a cosmic punishment.
Yes, I am inclined to suspect that all the wonderful things you list occurred by natural means. Do you really think God spontaneously bubbled into existence, then zapped everything to appear?
And I am unaware of any convincing hypotheses of spontaneous computer assembly.
@rootytuners In order for something to have a beginning it must exist in time.Scientists explain that Time and Matter came into existence with the Big Bang. Thus the Cause of time and matter is outside of time and matter itself: Eternal/Spiritual. God willed the universe into existence. Man can will the idea of a computer into existence by wrapping this idea in glass, plastic and metal. But man is finite, whereas God is Infinite and Eternal, thus All-Knowing..
The mysteries of the distant origins of the cosmos do not point to a celestial battle between your God of the hebrews and a winged nemesis in the persona of Satan. It's comical how you make such a bizarre, naive and frankly childish leap.
These rivals, these personalities, these constructs of backward desert nomads are absurd. they do nothing to plug the mysteries you clam are your justification for belief in these bronze age and first century fantasies, myths and anecdotes.
@rootytuners Spirits cannot be seen through telescopes or microscopes. Realize that the word "angel" simply means "messenger" and the artistic representation of people with wings is merely the human mind attempting to depict beings of pure intellect and will. But diabolical entities are not confined to Christianity. Again, I would suggest studying NDEs of people who denied the existence of hell. The reality of Satan is something you will discover in this life or in the next. Life is not a game..
If angel simply means messenger, why not use "messenger"?
Diabolical entities are confined to anecdotes.
Listening anecdotes of people who've experienced trauma to the extent of near death, is not study. I know of a desperately ill person who on recovery recalled tiny robots, loading miniature trucks with minuscule gift wrapped boxes on their bed. The experience was indistinguishable from reality. So what?
@rootytuners The English word "angel" is simply derived from a Greek word which originally mean "messenger". Angels are disembodied spirits of pure intellect and will, much like demons. God did not make demons. Demons were angels who demonized themselves, much like men are born and become little innocent children, yet some yield to evil influences and become evil themselves. But True NDEs are undeniable. Take some time to study some of them. Look up Purgatory by Marino Retsrepo on YouTube
@PraisedBeJesus I disagree with the Bishops here. Hell Bell's is sung from the point of view of the devil as a cautionary tale, from what I have read of the lyrics. While I find the Gregorian cover bizarre at no point does this ACDC song glorify hell, only speaks as something of a warning to those whose trajectory is leading them there. In the song, there is a rebuke of the youthful invulnerable attitude among other things and a reminder that death will come for even the careless young.
@Cajaquarius The problem with those who refuse to see the obvious is that they find ways to rationalize even such things as abortion and make them palatable or even righteous. ACDC warning people about going to hell? I don't think so. Merely read the lyrics to their hit Highway to Hell. As for your friends being atheists, that's probably the product of all the poison they injected into their hearts and minds via rotten music and movies, which usher kids into the realm of sin and rebellion..
Nice rationalization, but each has vivid memories of having their D&D books burned, their music destroyed, and parents who handed down edicts based on interpretations of the bible that offered no recourse for discussion or explanation. Are you honestly saying you are okay living in a world where scripture is handed down like some law and nobody is allowed to discuss or explore the meaning beyond what has been handed down from old?
@Cajaquarius Music, movies, magazines, etc. are effective tools for planting the seeds of hedonism, promiscuity, the occult, pornography, etc. into the hearts of the young. Thus parents have the responsibility of protecting their children. But Christianity is not founded on a book, but rather on Christ who founded a Church to guide His flock. The Church teaches that we must avoid the occasions of sin. But parents do need to be smart about how they approach the issue.
@PraisedBeJesus I am not trying to be snappy - I understand that grappling with the fact that your approach to things is negatively impacting Christianity and Catholicism as a whole. Maybe you feel you don't live a Christ-like life and evangelize with words, so being told you are pushing people away must feel like an attack on you as a person. I get that. But try to put yourself in the shoes of those you condescend to. Imagine a Muslim or Wiccan talking like that to you and how you'd react.
@PraisedBeJesus Also, realize that making these sweeping judgements and warnings about Satan aligns you with groups like the Watchtower who made similar claims about Dungeons and Dragons - a big reason many of my gamer friends claim to be agnostic/atheist today. Condescending and warning will only serve to drive away from you and your faith.
Ironically, if Satan's job is to push people from God, history shows he does it most effectively through the proselytizing and actions of the religious.
Kind as you are to send them, I'm not interested in your PMs; especially when they repeat the same rehashed items you've already repeated here.
I'm not trying to convince you of anything, I am merely pointing out that you have zero evidence that Satan is behind these tunes; I am pointing out why, in my opinion, why your position is ridiculous. And if you use flawed logic to justify your stance, I will point out where I perceive errors in reasoning or any glaring presumptions.
@rootytuners CONTINUED>> Myths and anecdotes are myths and anecdotes. But your dismissal of theology is silly. That's like saying logic is totally unreliable. I'm afraid you're blurting out words without knowing anything about theology. As for demonic beings, they are spirits (pure intellect and will), so you can only see the manifestations of their influence. I would suggest you study true exorcisms and hellish NDEs. Science cannot prove "hate", yet hate is real, and Satan hates you..
Saying theology is unreliable & fruitless is remarkably accurate, and demonstrably so.
It's unreliable, as demonstrated by the divergent nature its numerous conclusions. The more isolated theologians, and the longer the time spent contemplating, the more dissonant the conclusions and philosophies.
If there were the slightest accuracy of conclusions, these should converge. They never do.
Theology is fruitless; it produces nothing but self satisfaction.
@rootytuners Don't be silly. That's like saying logic is unreliable and fruitless. The problem is that you're dismissing what you know nothing about, which is rather arrogant. That's like panning trigonometry because you don't understand basic arithmetic, or in your case, rejecting the idea of counting. Maybe the problem is that you don't believe in God, which usually translates into not wanting to believe, which then puts you in the realm of rejecting reason. Atheism is a waste of existence...
A more comparable example to your mythical figures is Elvis Presley.
Many eye-witnesses attest to seeing him post mortem. I do not have faith nor confidence in these stories. Do you? If not, why not?
I'd suggest because anecdotes are not reliable evidence.
The written, re-written and *conflicting* reports of the bible are re-tellings of anecdotes (at best!) - and require suspense of ALL that is observable and rational. Not evidence, not convincing.
@branscombesurf please do not let the judgements of some people who claim to be christians ruin the actual religion for you. I am a christian but i will not go around judging all people and shoving the christian veiws down their throats and saying their going to hell. I DO NOT do that to anyone. And yes I do love my religion and christianity so dont let those who are hurting the religion by PREACHING the word to everyone by PUSHING it in their faces speak for all of us christians and our faith.
Now then, let's not resort to insults, and instead try and keep this conversation on topic. (If you do so again, i will not be shy about reporting you.) There's no gain in being disrespectful, but i'm sure your book says something about that a bunch of places. (Do not judge people, love thy neighbour... You know? That stuff.)
Either way, i suggest you take a look at a book called "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins, it's formulated better there than i could possibly do here.
At least be clear when you write a message. I shall however try to respond: There is an equal amount of proof for the god of Christianity, Islam and Judaism as there is for the Flying Spaghetti Monster, so by that regard they're equal. There has also been both good things done, and evil that's somehow "justified", by various religions, so not much of a difference there either. It's also noteworthy that 3 of the major religions today base themselves upon the same book.
2 Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Music is one thing that is always changing. One creates music by adding somethey like the sound of to something else they stumbled on or liked. It's evolution at its best. This is just one example. I am a Christian, but Christ didn't teach us songs. We are told in Psalms to make a joyful noise unto the Lord.

Proof of that is for an Example, that in some "sad" Country's,
where Criminal's and Tyrants rule and terrorise their Fellow,
" MUSIC is forbidden " - hard to imagine, but it's true. Why?,
because Music gives the People "Power and Hope". And
People with Power and Hope are not easy to supress. ; )

"If you're into evil, you're a friend of mine"
"I got my bell I'm gonna take you to hell"
"I'm gonna get ya satan get ya"
Hells bells, satan's coming to you

FruitabuX 4 months ago 4
@FruitabuX Plenty of people who are interested in the truth, and the truth is that the voice of Satan speaks through those who do not believe in Satan. As for Catholicism and Christianity, Jesus Christ did not hand out Bibles, He established a Church: the Bible came to us from God through the Catholic Church. "Catholic" is the Greek word for "universal". Protestantism was fathered by an ex-Catholic named Martin Luther.
PraisedBeJesus 4 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus It is a song, we are not succumbed to the lyrics of a song unless we choose to, I listen to this group because of the melody, and the vocal range that makes me feel better, I could care less what the lyrics talk about. @Jhartsock123 The problem is that many people do not realize of the reality of Satan, fallen angels and the river of deception that is dragging souls into eternal damnation.
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
Opening this page loads the band that you've prescribed as in league with your demonic fantasy. More bizarrely, it loads your very own personal transcription of the actual song lyrics that you claim to be of direct influence from Satan.
Not only are you claiming that God is so weak that he's undermined by a YouTube clip, and that your fellow Christians are too stupid to tell covers of pop songs from prayer, but you are propagating and promoting the offending lyrics too!!
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners Don't be silly, the lyrics are on display for people to realize what kind of messages this group sings. So the more people see them and read them the more they will be informed that "Gregorian" is dabbling with some pretty rotten stuff. Though you're certainly free to pound their music into your head. But be aware that Satan is a spirit, and he operates through the intellect to numb man into gradually becoming indifferent to those who will drag your soul into damnation...
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus Personally I think Satan is just seriously misunderstood. And besides, God can probably take lyrics of a song in his stride, no matter who they are sung by and as such by simply being aware of the "Satanic" lyrics if one really wants to/feels the need to they can distance themselves from such evil.
rvbyxx42 3 months ago in playlist More videos from lietjuhh
@rvbyxx42 Evil is the absence of goodness, much like darkness is the absence of light. But evil is as real as your existence, and your soul will either end up in hell or in heaven at the end of your life. If you want to get a glimpse of Satan's world, merely search for "Satanic mass". You will see the hatred Satan has for God. God is Truth, Goodness and Love itself, thus your intellect is made for truth and your will for goodness and love. Those who produce satanic lyrics are rejecting God.
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
Seems like if he closed up shop, he'd have 'won'.
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners The problem is that many people have been conditioned into thinking that Satan and evil spirits do not exist. This universe is made up of systems which are governed by laws; even you are made up of systems--skeletal, muscular, nervous, digestive, reproductive, respiratory, etc.-and these are subject tot he laws of nature. But your soul is governed by the laws of the spirit. Hell is the consequence of sin because sin separates you from God. To die without God is an eternal hell..
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
Got it. It's metaphorical.
I can see why it doesn't hold up to rational examination - it's not meant to. It's an allegory.
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners Don't be silly. Satan is not metaphorical. Satan is real and his influence can be seen in the world. Understand that angels have no body, they are beings of pure intellect and will. Fallen angels demonized themselves, just as man can demonize himself by the free choices he makes with his intellect and will. Satan hates all human beings because we are made in the image and likeness of God. Satan wants to destroy us by influencing our free choices so that we too may be damned.
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
Is it in things you dislike?
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners Not my personalized concept; rather it is the teaching of the same Church which assembled the Bible in the first place--The Catholic Church. But the reality of Satan and demons is not only backed up by sound theology; their reality finds expression everywhere in the world---from the bestial acts of man to Satanic music and hellish NDEs related by thousands from all walks of life. Satan is also behind the suicides of people who seemingly have everything--fame, fortune and health..
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
Your imprecise generalities are nothing more than dangerous allegory.
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners Mythology is the study of cultural myths. Biology is the study of organic life. Astronomy studies the universe, Psychology studies the human psyche. Theology is the study of God. God is Truth, Goodness and Love itself, thus the purpose of your intellect and will is the service of truth, goodness, and love (God). Doctrine teaches the truths about God and the way to salvation. Witch burning is not doctrine, but rather a cultural death penalty which was usually done by panicked mobs.
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
(Capital 'T' for truth is always revealing)
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners Centuries ago some witches were condemned to death. But the death penalty continues today for all sorts of reasons. But that has nothing to do with doctrine. People practice the occult today as they did centuries ago. Satanic child sacrifices go on today more often than you think even in the heart of modern cities. But theology is founded on the formidable power of reason and the truth as revealed by Christ. The problem is the lie of atheism which has infected the minds of some.
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
Atheists have never 'sacrificed' children; that pastime has always been reserved for the religiously inclined.
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners Theology is an activity peculiar to Christianity; for example, there is no such thing as "Buddhist theology", instead Buddhism has a philosophy, which is a much different thing than theology. Within theology there are branches, such as Teleology, which studies the purposefulness of things, and Ontology which studies the nature of Being. Theology, like mathematics, uses reason to arrive at certain realities. But atheism is a psychological condition, not a rational conclusion..
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
Mathematics is universal.
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners Mathematics uses reason and logic. Reason can lead you to certain truths about our existence. For example, reason alone demands that you believe a person wrote the lines of text you are reading right now, even though you do not see me. Likewise, theology arrives at certain truths about God. But violence has been a favorite tool of man since the dawn of humanity, including atheists. But every civilization has always reasoned a Creator because reason demands it. Satan is also real..
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
Violence is not used to enforce 'reality' outside of religion.
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners If you claim to have no way of knowing that a person wrote these lines of text that you are reading right now, then your belief is based on faith. The problem with atheist is that they speak out of the psychological need to negate God, rather than on reason---thus the nonsensical statements based on emotion. But again, all civilizations since the dawn of humanity have reasoned a higher being behind the existence of the cosmos. Yet only rational can commit immoral acts like murder..
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
Belief and faith are not traits I consider virtuous; and belief in obvious myths, even less so.
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners Realize that just about everything you claim to accept as truth is based on faith and reason. For example, you probably believe that George Washington was the first president of the United States and that he crossed the Delaware on Dec. 25, 1776 during the American revolutionary War. You accept these facts as being truth, not because you knew George, or because you witnessed him alive, but because you have faith in the witnesses who spoke about him. Faith and reason go together..
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
Demons, devils, angels - not rational, not comparable.
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners Then you agree then that your belief in George Washington is based on your faith in what historians teach you, and not science or your personal witness. As for science, the problem is that you fail to understand how science works. Realize that science cannot prove the scientific method; you believe the scientific method is true but you cannot prove it. What's more, there are things that science simply cannot prove, for example, science cannot prove that rape is evil. CONTINUED>>>
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@rootytuners (PART 2) Realize that there’s nothing wrong with the scientific method for testing the kinds of things science is meant to test. However, it is fundamentally naive to believe that science is be able to test everything. If you were better educated you would realize that science cannot prove moral, logical, historical, or experimental truths. Theology does not make merely esoteric claims; it makes claims about logic, science, history, philosophy, and reality itself based on evidence..
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
First your argument centers on trashing the scientific method, then it claims Theology is the same thing.
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners I'm not trashing the scientific method. What I'm telling you is that you do not understand what the scientific method does. The scientific method is good for testing the kinds of things it was meant to test. It doesn't take faith to believe in the existence of God, it takes reason. Thus all civilizations since the dawn of man has reasoned a Creator. But It does take faith to believe in Christ, just as you may or may not have faith in your mother CONTINUED>>>
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
And even amongst these, the perceived influence shrinks as knowledge and understanding expands.
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners I ask again,, what evidence for God or demons do you require? The Big Bang Theory explains that time and matter came into existence together, thus the Cause of both time and matter is outside of time and matter itself, in other words, the Cause is Eternal and Spiritual. It is also Rational, being that the cosmos us comprehensible through the logical language of mathematics. The problem is that you're living not knowing what the purpose of life itself is, and that leads to disaster..
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
The problem is certainly that I don't 'believe' in your god - the premise collapses without blind 'faith'
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners Here you have eyes, ears, hands, feet, lungs, etc. and you don´t even know what the purpose of your existence is? If you think that the world, with all its wonders simply "bubbled up" accidentally then you certainly have been duped by Satan. Again, as evidenced by the Big Bang theory, the Cause of the universe is 1) Outside of time (Eternal), 2) Outside of matter (Spiritual) and 3) Rational (The universe is comprehensible through the logical language of mathematics)..
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus

PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
Fear & dogma blind the mind.
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners Again, the world just didn't simply bubble up accidentally as your atheism demands. There's a reason why we can calculate the exact time of sunrise 10,000 years from now. All civilizations have reasoned a higher intelligence behind the universe, and all have formulated their concept of what and who God is. But man is finite and God is infinite, thus in order to know God, it was God who revealed Himself and reached down to man, so that we may know Him ans His purpose for us. Cont>>>>
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus

PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
You are of course correct that you do not need a Bible to believe in the nebulous notion of a generic god.
But you do need the Bible (along with access to the omitted Book of Enoch), and a smattering of Milton's Paradise Lost to recognize the absolute nonsense that a fallen angel called Satan is trying to manipulate your mind with a musical combo featured on several YouTube videos - which was your original preposterous claim.
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners So go ahead and don't believe; I don't expect an atheist to believe in Satan if his mind is bent on denying the existence of God. You are free to not believe in the laws of gravity, it doesn't mean the laws won't apply to you. But Gregorian Chants are Christian chants which praise God, whereas "Gregorian" the band chant Satanic and profane lyrics, the point of my post in the first place. As for atheism, notice how you avoid my simple questions. Tell me, how did the world bubble up?
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
But that doesn't give a free pass to your God & Satan fable.
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners The laws of gravity merely prove the necessity for a Law Maker. But let's understand your logic. You claim that the world with all its wonders, the natural laws, symmetry, harmony, DNA, men, women, hands, ears, eyeballs, reproductive systems, sperm, elephants, flowers, birds, the precision of earth's rotation,etc. all accidentally bubbled up in the void of space. At the same time you claim it is absolutely impossible for a computer to accidentally assemble itself. Is this right?
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
And I am unaware of any convincing hypotheses of spontaneous computer assembly.
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners In order for something to have a beginning it must exist in time.Scientists explain that Time and Matter came into existence with the Big Bang. Thus the Cause of time and matter is outside of time and matter itself: Eternal/Spiritual. God willed the universe into existence. Man can will the idea of a computer into existence by wrapping this idea in glass, plastic and metal. But man is finite, whereas God is Infinite and Eternal, thus All-Knowing..

@PraisedBeJesus
The mysteries of the distant origins of the cosmos do not point to a celestial battle between your God of the hebrews and a winged nemesis in the persona of Satan. It's comical how you make such a bizarre, naive and frankly childish leap.
These rivals, these personalities, these constructs of backward desert nomads are absurd. they do nothing to plug the mysteries you clam are your justification for belief in these bronze age and first century fantasies, myths and anecdotes.
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners Spirits cannot be seen through telescopes or microscopes. Realize that the word "angel" simply means "messenger" and the artistic representation of people with wings is merely the human mind attempting to depict beings of pure intellect and will. But diabolical entities are not confined to Christianity. Again, I would suggest studying NDEs of people who denied the existence of hell. The reality of Satan is something you will discover in this life or in the next. Life is not a game..
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
Spirits can't be detected through anything.
So what?
Life is not a precursor.
rootytuners 3 months ago

Cajaquarius 3 months ago
@Cajaquarius The problem with those who refuse to see the obvious is that they find ways to rationalize even such things as abortion and make them palatable or even righteous. ACDC warning people about going to hell? I don't think so. Merely read the lyrics to their hit Highway to Hell. As for your friends being atheists, that's probably the product of all the poison they injected into their hearts and minds via rotten music and movies, which usher kids into the realm of sin and rebellion..
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus "It is the product of all the poison etc"
Nice rationalization, but each has vivid memories of having their D&D books burned, their music destroyed, and parents who handed down edicts based on interpretations of the bible that offered no recourse for discussion or explanation. Are you honestly saying you are okay living in a world where scripture is handed down like some law and nobody is allowed to discuss or explore the meaning beyond what has been handed down from old?
Cajaquarius 3 months ago
@Cajaquarius Music, movies, magazines, etc. are effective tools for planting the seeds of hedonism, promiscuity, the occult, pornography, etc. into the hearts of the young. Thus parents have the responsibility of protecting their children. But Christianity is not founded on a book, but rather on Christ who founded a Church to guide His flock. The Church teaches that we must avoid the occasions of sin. But parents do need to be smart about how they approach the issue.
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus I am not trying to be snappy - I understand that grappling with the fact that your approach to things is negatively impacting Christianity and Catholicism as a whole. Maybe you feel you don't live a Christ-like life and evangelize with words, so being told you are pushing people away must feel like an attack on you as a person. I get that. But try to put yourself in the shoes of those you condescend to. Imagine a Muslim or Wiccan talking like that to you and how you'd react.
Cajaquarius 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus Also, realize that making these sweeping judgements and warnings about Satan aligns you with groups like the Watchtower who made similar claims about Dungeons and Dragons - a big reason many of my gamer friends claim to be agnostic/atheist today. Condescending and warning will only serve to drive away from you and your faith.
Ironically, if Satan's job is to push people from God, history shows he does it most effectively through the proselytizing and actions of the religious.
Cajaquarius 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
You seem a bit slow when it comes to false dichotomies. Let me elucidate.
Having an incomplete knowledge of the distant past of the universe does not equate to accuracy of Abraham religion.
Not knowing how thunder & lighting works does not make Thor as the god of lightening true.
Not knowing that the sun is in fact an ordinary star and is fulled by nuclear fusion does not make Ra the sun god of Egypt real.
Not knowing A, does not make B true by default.

@PraisedBeJesus
And if you use flawed logic to justify your stance, I will point out where I perceive errors in reasoning or any glaring presumptions.
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners CONTINUED>> Myths and anecdotes are myths and anecdotes. But your dismissal of theology is silly. That's like saying logic is totally unreliable. I'm afraid you're blurting out words without knowing anything about theology. As for demonic beings, they are spirits (pure intellect and will), so you can only see the manifestations of their influence. I would suggest you study true exorcisms and hellish NDEs. Science cannot prove "hate", yet hate is real, and Satan hates you..
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
Theology is fruitless; it produces nothing but self satisfaction.
rootytuners 3 months ago
@rootytuners Don't be silly.
PraisedBeJesus 3 months ago
@PraisedBeJesus
Not evidence, not convincing.
rootytuners 3 months ago

TheToiletmonster 4 months ago
@21scuderia
