  • there was this one night we were drinking cocktail... my friend suddenly vomited, hyperventilated.. and his fingers and toes got stiffed and has difficulty moving and openig his fingers... i suspected hypokalemia... am i right? wat would be the first aid in this situation?? he refused to go to the hospital..thanks

  • this is awesome!

  • Yesterday my serum potassium level dropped to 0.9mEq/L.

I began hyperventilating, lost feeling in my limbs and went unconscious.

My hands locked into a gripped position and I was effectively paralyzed for 30 minutes. Paramedics had to pick me up off the floor and I was quickly put on IV.

I'm 29 and in good health, I was just overexerting myself and not replenishing fluids and minerals.

  • nice. I tried to tell the nurses about giving me that 10 meq K+ bag. It feels like battery acid in my veins. I refused so they had to mix with salin. I think they were trying to get me out the ER quick.

  • Thank you

  • very nce
