  • yes guys a jeep would make a better off road vehicle. However a jeep is not an off road truck, its a compact small SUV. this video is about a very capable off road truck, it has very useful everday purpose on like the jeep. It has a backseat that can fit adults, as well as a truck bed for your goodies. That is what you are buying here, a truck that also happens to be good off road. That said, you put 5k+ into it and build it up, you would have an extremely capable off road vehicle as well.

  • hummers look like chodes......there gay. thats why jeeps are better

  • when u were going through hells gate did the h3t get scratched

  • light camera action!!!cut!!!we want whole video on how u manage the hells gate,no editing!!id rather go w/ the xtera n fj for off roading!!for fishing,i'd rather use d h3t!

  • every time you scratch it add $1000....

  • Ill take one, 99% off, and in black please :)

  • i have never seen one of these on the road before. and i live in "truck month every month" Texas. i would say its the economy but i see new fords/dodges/chevys/toyotas.

i bet u could get a good dealer discount on one of these hummers.

  • ugly ass hummer... what happend to the first ones...

  • haha I want some of those 33" LT god damn it tires

  • yes, i think the H3 looks like shit and isn't much of a hummer. but i really like the H3T and if could have the chance to own one i would.

  • i own one and love it they are wicked trucks

  • he was shitting himself just by seeing his ride being driven by someone else ... lol.. that car is capable... great car

  • why at 2:14 he says it is not the most capable vehicle.

  • vid isn't edited to well great truck though

  • a stock JK Rubicon Unlimited would out wheel this thing all day long!!

  • no doubt

  • is this a joke? the commentator seem like he has never been offroad before. its obvious why the didnt let him drive up hells gate. if you got a YJ and put 5000 in to it that jeep would out wheel this hummer all day long. WASTE OF MONEY!!!

  • Absolutely a short wheelbase YJ could outperform a long wheelbase H3T on the trail but you're making a lopsided comparison. I can do that too. Good luck towing more than 2,000 pounds or using your YJ for hauling. The H3T tows up to almost 6,000 pounds and has lots more room for passengers and cargo.

  • x2 haha. A YJ is good for the trail, THAT IS IT. I owned one. With this, you can bring the fam, do it in comfort, and tow a heavy boat. I like them even though i own a heavily modded FJ cruiser.

  • do uyou relize what you just said? you said you would put 5000 into a YJ and it would out wheel this hummer..ya you have to spend more money on the jeep when you could buy the hummer and do more in it then you counld with a jeep.

  • you missed his point. You can buy a mint YJ for $6,000 and put $5,000 and have an $11,000 Jeep that out wheels a ~$30,000 Hummer.

regardless, a YJ doesn't need $5,000 in mods anyways, a stock one with good tires would be all you need out there, so make that a $6,000 Jeep that can outwheel a ~$30,000 Hummer

that argument is moot anyways, you could say the same thing against a new Rubicon vs. an older Jeep with mods.

  • A good off road vehicle is not bought, it is built..

  • hit the gas grandma

  • Thats the first Hummer brand vehicle that I would seriously consider taking a look at.

    F&R E-lockers,4:1 low,body color grille,33s,and a v8!

  • wow that thing is ugly!

  • it is ugly! global warmer too, more polluting my already dirty warm air :(

  • global warming is a myth

  • What planet are you living on? I dont mind driving these powerful machines for fun ocationally, you should be able to rent these. but thats not what people do. they use it on a daily basis to commute, carrying one person absolutly annoys the heck out of me along with a bunch of people that cares about the nature. just because you are rich you get to pollute the air "more" is absolutly rediculos. So far we been ejoying a greener world now it is turning orange and consq.. are becoming mre visible.

  • h3 is really not that bad for the environment, it has the 5.3 v8 which is the same engine the silverado has. besides new cars are really good at burning clean. an old 4 banger that smokes is a lot worse

  • I agree with a new H3 will be cleaner than most old cars out there, & H3 will soon get old. and also i am not an anti hummer guy, but this specific car does make a statement encouraging sales of overpowerful vehicles. i am agaist all vehicles that are being used above necessity. Govt should give tax break and insurance cuts to eco cars. buy 2- one for daily commute and one for fun. import compacts are better engineering on fuel effeciency, GM need to follow their starategy, gm headed bankrupsy.

  • all the new hummers are underpowered

  • :) i take it that you had enough of this argument

  • If you buy two vehicles, you'll do more harm than if you get a hummer and commute with it. The pollution caused by the manufacturing process of creating a vehicle is greater than the pollution created by the vehicle.

  • someone got upset I now regret bringing this topic up in this (interest group forum), but i am also a guy that enjoys ofroading, and am concerned about the planet's future, after all everyone has to share this giant airbubble . to answer your quest- noooo, sure you are going to need energy for manufacturing process, but this very marginal compared to the co2 that a car puts out in its lifetime. give it some research you dont take my word for it. also electricty can be a renewalble sources

  • I'm not upset. No need to regret bringing the topic up.

I once read that the dust to dust cost of a prius on the environment is worse than a hummer. Google for it. Studies on both sides are biased of course.

I have a really hard time believing that keeping two vehicles is cost effective or good for the environment. I drive a big truck, but I also only live 4 miles from work. I don't care about miles/gallon even if gas prices reach $10/gallon since I mostly drive for pleasure.

  • 4 short hauls it is fine!

  • shut the fuck up you dumbass global warming faggot. dont come on off roading vids and start shit. keyboard warriors like you are pieces of shit. go talk global warming on an al gore vid or somethin

  • LOL nice reply lol I personally think the earth naturally goes thru phases like that and its not all our fault lol

  • i think you partly right, though it is not a natural phenomenon, it is rather an artifical or some external influence like an astroid, volcanic etc, earth is programmed to bouce out of it, but reality is that it is not a quick process and people are going to suffer through this cycle. also this artificial influence can be controlled while other aren't

  • my jeep could eat this thing alive.

  • riiiiiight

  • Hummer brand is for sale and the chinese is gonna buy it

i wanna be the first one to own a CHINESE made HUMMER !!

    luv the quality

  • they are tryin yo make hummers cool but their not anymore.

  • 1 word that makes this car a tonka toy

    LANDROVER!

wouldnt buy a hummer if some 1 donated it and payed me to take it

  • a land rover cant beat a hummer.

  • I'd like to see a landrover on that trail=)

  • my landy would eat that shit

  • hOW MUCH SHOULD THIS COST?

  • About $30k

  • How much should it be by 2012 at carmax

  • lol

  • its a diesel it means it has more fuel mileage unlike the H2 the H2 should phased out not the H1 or the Hummer brand

  • Nice truck. The spotter sucked on Hell's Gate.

  • this test drive is also an article i Automoible Magazine. Last months issue i thnk...

  • how will this truck coast?

  • Ummm...body colored grill...extra turn signal fluid resevoir...piston pullback springs...muffler bearings...ummm
