I tried to do the same thing to make a sort of "exploding" target, but I realized it would take too many matches and too much effort. I got an idea and figured I could dip .22 tips in it to make tracers. Bad idea. The mix was too watery, and got all over the bullets, and when I tried to scrape it off the sides off the bullets, one almost ignited, and when I could manage to actually slam one in the chamber of my single shot bolt action rifle, it shot, but failed to eject , and gummed up my bolt.

@JuicedJetta Its horrible that people dont reply but yes it most like could, if you fill them all the way you could have a pretty good incendiary round. If you could use aluminum/potassium PERCHLORATE (not chlorate) you could have explosive rounds.

@JuicedJetta depents on the type of round if its a magnum round certantly not but with normal rounds there is a small change of succes,but the fire of that comes out of the muzzle could trigger this do i never tryed cuze i dont have any firearms yet.

@JuicedJetta I know youve been answered but if you tried this with 9mm rounds i think that they would superheat and explode in the barrel because of friction, and the explosion that is propelling it forward. It would damage your gun if the round exploded in the chamber or barrel, and would be really dangerous.
