u cant compare the two! They have totally different styles. Its like comparing a Qajar tombak player with a Qajar Tar player. Kalhor is contemporary, aliov is traditional. You cant compare them in any way,

Ostad Aliov be nazar-e man besyar zibatar az ostad kalhor minavazand. Sazeshun khoshsedatar va gushnavaztar ast. Aslan halat-e navakhtaneshun kheili asiltar be nazar miad. kamancheh-navazihayi ke dar CD-e "Kamancheh dorehye gajar" zabt shodand shabihe navakhtan-e ostad aliov hastand.

Nice. I assume the music was composed by Tajvidi and that's why Tajvidi makes an appearance to say something at the end of the video. Now what I'd like to see is some video of Tajvidi himself playing, back in the good old days.
