  • All they needed was the help of a certain Timelord.

  • @borgduck Who? :P

  • @Loreleila LOL!! :)

  • Bonne video

  • Hooray ! I managed to make it snow in your living room. The snow is building up and it is a good thing you have that nice wood burning stove to keep you warm.

Time is a measurement and has to be regulated so that it can be divided amongst those that need to use it. I suppose the secret is to use it as little as possible and follow your own natural rhythms. As most countries are nominally democratic I guess states have a right to choose their own time zone.

  • @nordicsky There are a few people who seem to have got pleasure from making it snow in my living toom lol

Good comments on time, though if 'states' (countries?) have the right to choose their own time zones travelling could prove incredibly confusing as you zigzagged to and fro through 'time'. It also begs the question who exactly is doing the choosing for everyone? I prefer to choose for myself.

  • Your commentary on YT's essential facility was, of course, funny for me :)

Tempus frangit means 'time breaks'; it's a variation on 'time flies' or tempus fugit. I prefer it.

  • @fulishproductions I like tempus frangit. I shall make use of it sometime. Thanks :)

  • iv thought of this sometimes but it hurts my brain lol

  • @Refreshernoob lol!

  • I have spent much time on Islands in the South Pacific, and my friends who live on outer islands seldom look at a clock unless a boat is coming, or they need to communicate by radio.I much prefer that way of life. I have never enjoyed being a time slave.

Btw, Happy New year!. I wont be looking at a clock to see when it begins ;)

  • @cosmicskydaddy1 It sounds as if the South Pacific islands would suit me. :)

Happy new year to you too. I believe it starts over a 24 hour period.

  • @Loreleila G'morning... Um, yeah, I'm trying to get her to use her Laptop on my Ch. page to fix it. But, her default position was that we're old, & thus you must be wrong. So I showed how when I go to AdamShumpisxXx & use his link to my Ch., it claims "No Playlists". Then her idea was Mobiles can't see Playlists. So I showed her dsmluck 's Playlist, on my Phone. Now, she admits there is a glitch..! So, we'll see... BTW, to fight WW2, "Double Summer Time" was used !

  • Doing away with Daylight Savings Time is a great first step... Then if we all operated on Greenwich Mean Time there would never be any ambiguity about what time or date it is. Sleep when you feel like it, and work when you feel like it :)

  • @phekwig 'Sleep when you feel like it, and work when you feel like it :)'

    Sage advise. :)

  • @Loreliela

G'd evening... Um, my daughter says if you go to my Videos, beside the Scroll somewhere theres an option to see the 18 Playlists (?). Something weird there, still, though. My Ch. Should show them. But, nyet ! When Clocks got more Acurate than Sundials, Steam Power hit the Renaissance. To make Trains go right, Standard Time replaced Local Mean, & Petro-Power hit... Daylight Saving made WW1 more Efficient, & Nuke Dreaming began... It Is Madness !

  • @WarblesOnALot Yes, you can see your playlists in that, as I can my own. But I don't have access to anyone elses sadly. You can adjust what shows up on your channel page. Maybe you could get your daughter to alter that for you as I believe you use your phone? What you can do on that is a little more limited I think. Any replies you make to my comments I never get notified of, I see them in my feed.

  • Also , you should lose the wrist watch.

  • @captcaveman4201 It's useful to know what agreed moment to meet others, to watch a programme etc. But it's not an accurate representation of anything at all.

  • Guess what. I figured out a puzzle. The BIG ONE !! I just figured out how the phyramids were built !! Basically what I have discoverd makes the known newtonian physics, a sub set. Adds a whole new chapter of human history previously unknown of. THEY USED THE AQUAPHOR ,the MINERALS, and the GOLD cap stones to make an electrical current. Tesla built his Alternating Curent based off the same principal. but the phyramids trap and harness this energy!! Effected the ATOMS AND THEY GREW !!

  • @captcaveman4201 Is this a poor attempt at a joke?

  • @Loreleila no its not a joke. everything i said is 100% true !! You know I feel like one of those people throughout history that makes a huge discovery, that challenges that status quo And the people laugh it off/ dismiss it. Just as they ALWAYS have. Trust me on this, I am correct. Basically the universe is fractal in nature. Size doesnt really matter. The physics still remain the same. At specific places on the earth, energys come together. They trap the energy, and use it. Blew the lid off

  • @captcaveman4201 What you say is not 100% true. Especially since you've talked about various myths without offering any evidence at all. I assumed you were taking the mickey out of me actually, since what you say here has little to do with what I'm talking about. And the random capslocks don't help your cause either, along with holding yourself up as a misunderstood messiah of some kind. The truth is hidden in what you say but it's really not that simple.

  • @Loreleila well i thought it was relevent, considering the topic of man made time. There is evidence all around. Im not trying to take the mickey out of ya. whatever that is. I was meerly expresing my recent new perspective with you. How i think man made time came about in the first place. AKA someone telling you what to do with your time. I think that the days of man made time are about to come to an end.. And then , it will be party time. Happy New Year !!

  • I wonder if humans will ever be allowed to escape the machine? Servitude requires false time-keeping, false currency and false lords. Computers synchronize really well, to Unix time, or POSIX time. The Julian and Gregorian fall apart all over the place. The Mayan calendar remains accurate, within 30 seconds or so. Their mechanics [the Maya] were excellent. I [personally] ignore the myths / see the very large gears

  • @waterspindle 'Servitude requires false time-keeping, false currency and false lords'

Indeed. And a defence of them.

I'll take a look at the playlist. Thanks. The myths do them no favours as they seem either clung to or rejected out of hand.

  • @Loreleila : I feel like the "time change" is an affront to nature and a power trip. People pretend they, or their tenders, have moved the sun backward or forward in the sky!

Leap year, and leap seconds, that's just us trying to keep up and that kind of arbitrariness is tolerable, though you should go toward the simplest system over time... e.g. metric vs english units and so on.

I would like a 13 month calendar, btw, somewhat randomly related.

  • @pyrrho314 The time change is pure nonsense worthy of Alice in Wonderland.

My natural day tends to be nearer 26 than 24 hours. Other than the need to meet people there's no reason why I shouldn't live that, and maybe have a very short day once in a while.

  • @Loreliela G'day... Well, y're on the right track..! I have a clip 'Sundial Technology... Interactive, Portable Universal, Capuchin, Cubic, & Streamlined Solar-Electric' it shows both the Equation of Time (due to Axial-Tilt & the Obliquity Of The Eccliptic) & Moonlight Conversions. I live by Local Apparent Time... Mean Time, Standard Time, & "Daylight Saving Time" cause Geotemporal Dislocation. Via living by what the Sun's doing in the Sky 100s of Miles East or West of y're Feet !

  • @WarblesOnALot It's useful to know when it will be daylight, when it's likely to be warm or cold. It's even useful as a measure as to when to connect with others.

  • it's just the naming of the time. The false rigidity is evident in saying Samoans will "lose a day of their life"... we could just as easily say they will gain a day, because the calendar day they will die on is going to be one day in the future from when it would have been, all else being equal.

I find this happens every year when the "time changes" by an hour. We don't do that here and so e.g. a radio program will pretend its on at the same time, but it's clear it moved by an hour.

  • @pyrrho314 Of course they'll neither gain nor lose anything, other than a little notoriety.

Time 'changes' here twice a 'year' lol. It's all a bit of a joke. I assume you have February 29th every four years, just to catch up with the inaccurate measurements.

  • @Loreleila : In college I attempted to start a free speech group but the people that agreed to sign the charter avoided doing so. It was the Dissassociation of February 29 where each of us agreed to take responsibility for ourselves. However, according to University Policy, they could hold any of us accountable for the actions of the others using the group.

Anyway, I thought using an invisible was a good touch. I like leap year.

  • Time is not man made, just the methods of tracking it.

  • @FuriousFreeze The time I'm talking about here is a measurement of such inaccurate proportions hours, and even days are shifted about on a whim regularly. Neighbours live in different days because of it. The year is a quarter day out every year. No scientific study of merit to measure anything would reasonably use such an inaccurate tool. Time as we generally think of it is man made. Space/time is not.

  • Hehehe. If they skip a birthday in Samoa dos that mean they stay the age they were last year? Absurd is the word. happy now time

  • @RemingtonNevada Happy now time to you too :)

  • well, now you've gone and freaked yourself out! LOL

  • @rriverstone1 lol! Actually the way movement through various dimensions is measured has always seemed ridiculous to me.

  • Hey! your roof needs fixing! This manmade time. It always boils down to money doesn't it?

  • @gizzytiersen I hadn't quite made such a close link between one nonsense and another (money and time) but I suspect you're probably right. What amazes me more is how because it's so deeply woven in most peoples psyche they look solidly real to the majority.

  • It just goes to show how we overdo these concepts. I always thought it would be the coolest thing to be born on Feb 29, and only celebrate birthday on leap years and proclaim that my age was just the number of years I actually had birthdays on. God, I'd still be young and probably more innocent :D

  • @socrates856 February 29th is another absurd joy. How can anyone create such a silly system that just doesn't work when attemtping to measure what it was set up to measure?

  • @Loreleila It's nature's fault. Angle of the earth, earth rotation speed, speed of rotation around the sun refuse to relate to each other in perfect rational fractions, so we get drift when we subdivide time. Of course what we could do instead is simply state that time is fixed, but then after a while noon would be night and december would be in summer time.

  • @socrates856 That would be rather entertaining. Either that or accept we're too simple to be abe to work out how to create a realistic measurement of all these movements. The problem is really only the insistance that what we have represents anything solid and 'real'.

  • ♥ .

  • @MrMLD72MLD :)

  • TIME IS NOW IN TIME LADY I HOPE YOU KNOW
