Jesus did not say "all things," He says all THESE things will be added unto you. All what things? Read the context of Matt. 6:31-33 and see that Jesus was speaking of food, drink and clothing, the same list of things Paul says we are to be content with in 1 Tim. 6:8. Is Paul Morton allowed to add more to that list because he's a holiness preacher and bishop?

Is not his role as a bishop to "contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints," and not to promise things beyond that?

And adding to the "speaking" doctrine that goes on now days, that verse says that God is able to speak those things which not be as though they were, not YOU! You can "speak" what you want, God said not to worry about food, clothing, etc. because when you pray, God already knows what you have need of. This teaching is wrong. Praise is not a method of getting from God what you do not currently possess. James says you have not because you ask not and if you still don't have it's because you're asking amiss. God CANNOT be obligated to give to you no matter how much you praise Him. Jesus says the same thing about empty repetition in Matthew 6:7.

This preacher is teaching his people to flatter God to get things. Here what he says faith will get you: promotion, job, husband, wife, car. These are all temporal things. Jesus says these are the things the Gentiles seek after. They use many repetitious words to be heard, which is exactly what Paul Morton is teaching you to do. This is not the Gospel of the Apostles.

You're not praising God just because you need things like a car and a house, but because you believe and have faith that he will supply all your needs. Prosperity is not a dirty word. God wants us to have these things and have the best. A Psalm of David says, "I have never seen the Righteous forsaken or his seed begging bread."

I agree with you too. Prosperity is not a dirty word. God has made me more financially prosperous than I have ever hoped for. I thank Him continually for that. Yet, one day I will take on my resurrected body and leave this all behind.

I listened to this video 4 or 5 times very carefully, analyzing it scripturally. There is no malice in such treatment. Remember the Bereans? They were noble for doing the same thing to Paul, the great Apostle. He passed their scrutiny. Paul Morton doesn't.
