  • St. Trinians was as magnificent in defeat as Zenyatta was in her heart pounding victory. One of the most dramatic displays of superb horse racing I have ever seen.

  • wo nellie

  • Greatest call in All of horse racing!!!!!!!

  • Take Secretraiat, Ruffian, Citation ,Seattle Slew...all were the best in their own right at their time. Now we have Zenyatta. Let's enjoy her because this is HER time. You cannot question and compare all these together but besides the Belmont win by Secretrait, I think Zenyatta is the greatest. To come back healthy every time is a tribute to her team.

  • If you watch this video closely you will see that as they take the saddle off her there is next to no sweat present on this magnificent mare. Ears pricked, observing the crowd and soaking up the adoration gushing from the fans. Makes you wonder what she is capable of.

  • It's a sacrilege to question Ruffian's brilliance, but she only won at over a mile three times and raced agsint a bunch of allowance horses (except for Hot N Nasty) in no field bigger than 7 horses (except breaking her maiden). She's 35 all time on Bloodhorse's top 100 thoroughbreds.

  • this horse is good but race in bigger fields not 4 or 5 or 6 horse fields. ridicious

  • @RUSSADAMS53 Do you think her connections look for races with 4 or 5 horses? More horses can enter these races if they want. Not many want to run against her, henceforth the small fields. Learn the subtleties of the sport before you start calling this ridiculous.

  • you can copare horses of yesteryear, each year some great one step to the plate

  • @Kulaness there's always gonna be someone, somewhere who is going to make comparisons. I'm eluding to this fact. A case can be made for everyone but we're talking about Zenyatta here. And she has gotten a lot of flack for her campaign by tons of people, all I'm saying is enjoy it, love it, we may never see the likes of her again.

  • Zenyatta is superb!

  • Before coming to America to race. St Trinians had raced 7 times in the UK in 2008. Of her 7 races, 6 of those were on the all-weather tracks at Wolverhampton, Lingfield, ans Southwell. She also had 1 start on turf at Ripon. St Trinians record in the UK was 7-3-0-3. St Trinians is a very good mare herself. Especially on synthetic surfaces. If the two meet again at Del Mar, Zenyatta had better be prepared for a test again. Because Del Mar isn't Zenyatta's favorite surface anyway. JMO.

  • Nothing will ever be good enough for some people. She wins 17 races in a row but she does it in Cali, she wins the BCC but it's against mediocre horses... these things are not easy, nor are they an everyday occurance. So can we not just live in the moment? If she sprouted wings and flew to the moon would you still not be satisfied? Hate on haters, but I've stopped the comparisons long ago and am enjoying Queen Z's reign, youll all see :)

  • @hegy4480 I feel exactly as you do. Some of these people just do not seem to grasp the impact of winning 17 of 17 races. Funny how people cannot understand that of all those horses she has beaten, there is a good chance many of them were pretty damn good. But the fact that ZEN is great kinda hides that fact. The old adage is Great horses make very good horses look very bad. I think thats what is going on with ZEN!

  • @hegy4480 Amen! Well said!

  • @hegy4480 lol at winning classic versus mediocre horses ??? who said that???..lets see...gio ponti-prob best turf horse we have seen in this country in 20 years with 7 grade 1 wins and dominating all the big grass races...summer bird -1st horse to win belmont travers and jockey club gold cup since easy goer...look at that field and see how many grade 1 wins combined she beat it will blow ur mind!!!

  • @bigfred3217 also summer bird beat quality road 2 times in 2 starts for all u quality road lovers ..horse has no shot in classic zenyatta and blame cold exacta in classic!!!! quality road will beat blame at spa this summer on speed fav track and 1 mile and eight distance!! but quality road cant get a mile and a quarter FACT!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @bigfred3217 no i was referring to the fact that several people have used the "mediocre" horse excuse for why she won the classic as well as saying that 17 wins in Cali is not noteworthy. I am trying to make a point that these things are still phenominal and need to be appreciated for what they are!

  • quality miler, has beaten up on dry martini and a couple others that atta boy roy beat on derby day why isnt he being enamered like the great quality miler!

  • If you look at 0:13 its a man i the middle of the track, well not in the middle.

  • Sky Beauty raced 18 of 21 times in N.Y. Personal Ensign ran 11 of her 13 in N.Y., and Ruffian ran 10 for 10 in N.Y. (I don't consider a "match race a real race). Are you people ready to knock any of them for racing in one place? Lighten up on the "Homer" attitude and just enjoy a great horse in action.

  • I love this little mare St. Trinians! I hope they will meet again, but I suppose Z´s people will avoid another meeting. They just don´t want to ruin her undefeated record. That´s why they hide in CA.

Zenyatta needed the whole stretch to make up just 2 length and Mike had something to do.

  • @1devilfish2 I think that St. Trinians will meet Zenyatta again in the Clement Hirsch Handicap.

  • @crazy4horses11 : Don't forget about the Zenyatta Stakes. They might meet in that one also.

  • @1devilfish2 Zenyatta needed the whole stretch allrigright but your overrated RACHEL would have been 7 lengths behind ST. TRINIANS in this race!

  • @duhru4real Amen, that's the only word that comes to mind, Amen

  • No one is fabricating excuses. Mitchell was quoted that she lost a shoe in the race but did not use that as an excuse. St Trianian jogged fine after the race and was not off at all. (no excuses) It is possible that she lost it in the gallop out but trainer, assistant trainer and jockey thought she lost in the race... Mitchell camp was incredibly happy with St. Trianians race and in awe of Zenyatta.

  • @happyfilly All that face Zenyatta and losses have an excuse, like Rachel Alexandra, Jess Jackson said that RA wasnt in a 100 percent ready for the Apple Blossom Inviational to face Zenyatta that was his big excuse.

  • @crazy4horses11 REALLY!!!!!!! DID YOU GO ASK HIM INSTEAD OF ASSUMING LIKE MOST MORONS.

  • Comment removed

  • I just read on a post that St Trinians lost a shoe at the end of the race? Incredible that mare almost won - what a heart she has. As far as my thoughts on Z, the mare has to run out of Ca and against more competitive horse to ever have me think she is in the same league as Rachel Alexandra. The handlers are only content to keep winning races she has already won - bring her to Saratoga, Churchill Downs, ect this summer and lets really see what she's made of.

  • @ajbonney, I agree. It's time for Zenyatta to go somewhere besides California and strut her stuff. But if you think for one minute that Zenyatta doesn't have the gears to run down, and right by, Rachel Alexandra as well? You're really fooling yourself, my friend!!!

  • @GBeret83 Well - Looks like Z camp is heading for Del-Mar! Get the mare out of the comfort zone of races she has repeatedly won in Cal? Doesn't look like it's going to happen. As far as gears to run by RA - Mikey was doing lots of beating in this last race, I think she's geared out and her Byer speed figures still are not match for RA. No fooling myself, my friend!

  • @ajbonney Agreed time for the MIGHTY MARE TO RUN OUT OF CALI but as far as Rachel is GRADE 3 (THREE) compared to the LEGENDARY ZENYATTA. SO please forget about overrated Rachel who lost 5 times to non-grade 1 winners.

  • @duhru4real At least you are agreeing that that the mare needs to race out of CA - but guess what? Her next forcasted race is in Del-Mar, which she has repeatedly won 2 times already. Yawn - guess it's more important to have a 18 win record than to really see what the mare can do. As far as RA's record - Z never came close to her performance in 2009 and that's why RA was rightfully HOY.

  • @ajbonney Sky Beauty raced 18 of 21 times in N.Y. Personal Ensign ran 11 of her 13 in N.Y., and Ruffian ran 10 for 10 in N.Y. (I don't consider a "match race a real race). Are you people ready to knock any of them for racing in one place? As far as HOY, RA raced a select group of three year olds, while Z took on the best three year old and older males from all over. Z should have won hands down.

  • @ajbonney

    Hey Cowboy,

You have no clue about Beyer Speed figures when it comes to Zenyatta.

Zenyatta is always a victim of the pace. If they run a legitimate pace in the Classic, her Beyers will go through the roof. If they run slow to the half mile pole, then Zenyatta's Beyer figure will be lower. It doesn't matter, this mare is impervious to pace.

She loves "dirt" and she will destroy whoever is in her way. She's already run the fastest 2 -turn synthetic race in North America (112 Beyer).

  • @DBJKAJ I'm surprised you're not at Chuck E Cheese.

  • @DBJKAJ DRUGSTORE COWBOY HERE FOLKS!!!!

  • @ajbonney St Trinians didn't lose a shoe during the race. The one supposedly missing is perfectly visible on the gallop-out. She either lost it on the gallop out, or someone is fabricating excuses.

  • St Trinians definitely stole the break for the wire on Zenyatta in this race, and was really flying herself for the wire. She's an awfully good all-weather surface mare herself. But that's what sets Zenyatta apart in my mind. She seems to understand she's expected to win. And seems to always produce whatever speed needed, as late as it's needed to propel herself past the wire first. There's no other filly or mare in racing that could've gone this wide around St Trinians and beat her to the wire.

  • ¡QUE CLASE LA DE ZEN!.

  • 17 in a row.... but not 17 versus open company. 16 vs fillies/mares n 1 vs open company. still a great horse but we wouldn't know exactly where she stands as an all time great because her connections has been too safe n not really challenge the best available.

  • @AcesIced I believe "open company" refers not to races classified by gender but by state-bred or non-state bred.

  • @richfairclough123: "Best ever" involves more than just winning. It's about having something that this mare has, and you DON'T - it's about character, about being strong, unyielding, striving for the win, making people love you, inspiring people; instead of being lazy, having no life, hating your life so much that you hate on hard work and success, and spreading bitterness - which is what your existence is about. Hate is the weapon of protection of the emotionally weak and the brain-weak.

  • best ever, not likely, the horse she just beat was running in poor races at prehaps the worst track in the U.K. To be the best ever she'd have to get off drugs, travel to europe and race on something other than a glorified dog track!

  • Zen goin 20-20 after her BC Classic WIN...

1 Race @ del mar..1Race @ Churchill or HollyPark and 1Race @ BC Churchill Downs...

  • OMG I just LOVE Zenyatta. What a horse. What a Super Star. She is the best ever.

  • That was "Scary"! So full of herself! What a Girl!~

  • For Sure! I'll send my bill too! That was enough of a "wait"!

  • I have mad respect for St Trinians, she literally ran her heart out and made Z work for every step. What a game mare! So glad to have been there to watch history, Z is just an amazing animal. Before this race plenty of people have said that she hadn't been challenged, she showed her heart and class in this race. People can say what they want, I'm just living in the moment and loving this once in a lifetime horse! Open up your minds, stop the comparisons and ENJOY this!

  • @hegy4480 St Trinians is a little pit bull.

  • Her foals will be worth some big bucks.

  • @Pipukwes lol honey they wont sell her foals !!!

  • she has to run in the classic I mean wow

  • I've never been so proud to run 2nd. Our little Trinians ran her heart out. She got beat by the greatest mare I have ever seen run. ...not making excuses but Trin lost a shoe turning for home.

  • @happyfilly No she didn't. Check the video.

  • @happyfilly If you check out the portion of the video where they are galloping out past the wire, you can see all four shiny shoes in place. Perhaps she lost it on the gallop out, but it sure looks like she crossed the wire fully shod.

  • @happyfilly I was there and I never saw a better race in my life. I hope Trin is OK.

  • @KissmeCatexoxo Well she sounds fine, except the race took a lot out of her and she turned herself inside-out in that stretch run. They're keeping her out for the ramainder of the year and gonna give her a campaign in 2011, which is when Zen will be retired. Thrilling race indeed!!, and I'm still sorry I couldn't make it out there that day, made up for it by going to Del Mar yesterday tho

  • u tryin 2 compare QR 2 GZ WTF your 1 big azz idiot LOL!!!! hes not gon get it done!!!!

have a feeling LAL with IMO MG well get her this time until thn = yeeeeeeeee

  • @bigfred3217, personally even as much as I like him, I don't think Quality Road can beat her in the Classic either. Because the Classic is 10 furlongs. Quality Road, time and again, has shown his best distance is 9 furlongs. But has lost both times at 10 furlongs to lesser opponent in Summer Bird than Zenyatta will be. I've seen one colt in the world that may have a shot at her in the Classic, if he comes? Fame and Glory winner of the Tattersalls Gold Cup and Coronation Cup. If he takes to dirt?

  • *STS* against *zenyatta* had 2 b BCC race cuz quality road rail trp RA are not beating Zen AT 1-1/4 unless she hates CD... and there not even that good of horses themselves cuz havnt beat much EITHER ........... GIO PONTI WAS A BETTER HORSE THAN THOSE 3 best older horse and turf in U.S. '09

RA and zen the race we all wanna see cant wait:)

  • Rachel who???

Z is the best thing racing has had in a long time.

  • Listen to Cooley Mac'n

  • I can just keep watching this over and over....

  • What

    a

    horse.

    Best of our time.

  • LIsten to the announcer! he says :

    "YUUUEEEAAAASSHHHHH!!!!"

    when Zenyatta wins..

    ROFL!

    LOVE THIS GUY!

  • holy shit, that just brought a man tear to my eye. ROFL i dont even watch horse racing!!!

    Good announcer too!

Damn, thats one hell of a determined horse. This is like a movie moment!!!

  • @145575 exactly right !!! there are only 2 good announcers in horse racing in durkin and stouffer..denman would be the other ...this is what racing needs top exciting announcers who bring enthusiasium..sux keeneland has the most boring announcer in history!! sorry this was for skwirleywirley

  • Amazing announcing. This guy kicks ass at his job. Needless to say Zenyatta is remarkable!

  • wow im not into horse racing but, that commentary made a fan out of me instantly.

  • Incredible! Fodder for Hollywood! Oh! That's right, they were in Hollywood Park. Wonder who'll buy the Movie Rights cuz it sure would be a hit!

  • and i thought her race in the BC Classic was exciting! we love you girl. keep proving what perfection looks like. prance on!

  • HORSE OF THE YEAR? In the Sport of Kings...I love this Horse than Rachael Alexandra. The Way I love my Handle in EBAY item=110539196086 Hobby of a King as Eleven Cent..Try to see it. Go to ebay search 1995P Penny

  • I've been trying to find coverage of the post parade to see her dancing etc.. I have not found anything yet.

OMG what a race! Talk about Anxiety attacks, heartataches and nail biting!!!! I thought for a second that St. Trinians had it, then Zen did what she does, got up and won. Time does not matter in her races, she only does what she must to get there first! Love you Zenny!!

  • @1DinkyDiva

Not sure this is what you want, but by accident I let the video just keep rolling & it does show her parading up the track

Let the video roll all the way to the end.

  • Oh that was wonderful to watch - gorgeous horse

  • @cmcgarth10 thank you for removing your hateful comments. This is about watching a really cool mare run races.

  • Nice to hear the announcer also acknowledge St. Trinian who is also an outstanding horse. But Zenyatta really is in a class almost all by herself. (Rachel Alexandra is in her class as well)

  • Zenyatta is incredible! What spirit. YOU GO GIRL ...!!!!

  • What's the difference between a good filly/mare and a great filly/mare?? A good filly won the Fleur di Lis Handicap at Churchill Downs on Saturday. A great mare won the Vanity Handicap at Hollywood Park on Sunday. That's the difference. Zenyatta just keep's winning. No matter the horse, no matter the weight assignment, no matter the distance. She keeps on keeping on. Rachel Alexandra lost her first two races, and excuses started flying. No excuse needed if you cross the wire first every time out

  • @GBeret83 I just need to see her against a top group 1 colt or stallion before I could even compare her to Cigar and are you forgetting Secretariat? Surely you havent put Zenyatta above the mighty Secretariat? You know the American form better than me and I hold your opinion highly but is love of this filly maybe clouding you judgement? We need a real good BC Classic this year, to sort it out once and for all. Zenyatta, Rachel Alexandra, Rail Trip, Quality Road, and hopefully the real Rip.

  • @cmcgarth1O The real Rip, huh. I guess that was his shadow Zenyatta blew by last year. You really have no idea what you are talking about. Go back to daydreaming and wishing STS was still racing.

  • @carsonshine123 Carson, I was talking to my friend John, I wasnt trying to start an argument with someone who takes no interest in European racing. I just mentioned the Rip as I cant see us having anything else good enough to go on the dirt at Churchill. I wouldnt expect him to win, but I do know, you didnt see Rip Van Winkle last year.

  • @GBeret83 Rachel Alexandra is back. Zenyatta never left :)

  • @ZenyattaFanantic ur right....Rachel is back on BEATING G2/G3 winners and CLAIMERS....

  • Thanks so much for posting ~ It's a little befuddling that this history-making event does not make local news atleast ---

God bless Zen and her extended family ~

Looking forward to seeing Trin again!

  • Please tell veryone you know to watch this mare run!! You cannot be a sports fan if people are unaware of this spectacle. I had people over who knew nothing about horse racing and between the post parade and the history they were told about, they instantaneously said "when does she run again?" Thats the effect this horse has on people...

  • That reminds me of Forgo in the Marlboro Cup, I was always a Rachael fan but now I am a believer in Zenyatta!

  • @jamsid33 i am also a believer in Zenyatta! lol! being a jockey is not my dream,(my dream is being either a worldwide fashion designer, an artist, or an interior designer) but id like to try it one day.

  • OMG! that was a sik call

  • Zenyatta has never faced a horse in this field. So don't say she faces the same horse over and over. BTW she did defeat the Rachel Slayer-Zardana.

  • All I can say is that ZENYATTA is GREAT for the sport. She is the people horse. Let's embraced this beautiful horse and wish her the best in any future races. She's amazing to watch live.

  • Leroidesanimaux

  • The thing is she wont get HOY. Rail Trip, and QR dont have very much compeition. Both could go undefeated this year. Zenyatta only runs in the same races over and over, and doesnt step outside her division.

20 for 20 is damn impressive and she would go down as top 3 mares ever. However I would have to vote for a 6 for 6 QR over a 6 for 6 Z if you line up their races side by side. Like i said her connections hold her back. She is capable of SO much more. Its not a career award

  • @kerkhoff1 I largely agree, except there is the wid card of the Breeders Cup Classic. If she beat Rail Trip/QR in the classic, depending on how she does it, she still could get HOY. Its hardly a best course of action though. She really can't stay in California for the next two races.

  • @rusinrockt I dont know why they keep her in Cali, she is much better on dirt! However I honesly believe that her age is starting to catch up to her. She won today on all Heart!

When she gets to the BCC she may have lost a step, won't be at her home track, and facing major compeition. Quality Road, Blame, Rail Trip, RA, Blind Luck, Looking at Lucky, Zenyatta, Trappe Shot , Afleet Express, the Euro's. This BCC could be some serious compeition unlike last year IMO.

  • @kerkhoff1 are you nuts? they flew down the stretch. St Trinians aint no joke and what the hell is blind luck doing on your list of breeders cup classic contenders lol

  • @BeasTxMode2000, You're 100% correct my friend. St Trinians is absolutely no joke, at all. Before coming to America, St Trinians was winning her races on the all-weather at Wolverhampton in the UK. She's won the Paseana Handicap and the Santa Maria Handicap since coming to America. Beating 09' B.C. Ladies Classic champion Life is Sweet, pretty convincingly in the Santa Maria Handicap. What's so amazing is that once again Mike Smith went about 7 or 8 wide and still beat St Trinians. Unbelievable.

  • @GBeret83 Sorry John, but I have to disagree. St Trinians was not a great mare from the UK, she got beat in a class 4 handicap off 77!! Obviously shes one of those horses who has improved when sent to america that we were talking about but this proves nothing more to me about how good Zenyatta is. Again she runs against horses where defeat is out of the question. I think we would all have been very dissappointed if Zenyatta couldnt beat St Trinians so you could argue than Zen wasnt at her best.

  • @cmcgarth1O p.s. We don't care if this didn't "prove" something to you. Those who truly care about her accomplishments and see the heart she shows ever time she steps on the track know, and thats all that matters. She has to prove NOTHING to you.

  • @carsonshine123 Again, I dont know who we is. I was replying to John as he sent me the video to look at, in future I will keep it to personal messages. And I know she has nothing to prove to me, its just my personal opinion, and the opinion of the majority of Europe. sorry

  • @cmcgarth1O

    Is that you Mike Watchmaker?

...or are you disguising yourself as Steve Crist?

Anyway, I don't know who you are, but what I want you to do is the following:

Get down on your knees and let me set a cold glass of beer on top of your head, while you blow me.

  • @kerkhoff1 she is much better on dirt.

  • @kerkhoff1 Well the right way to win HOY is one thing, to say she has lost a step is another. This was her first test this year, and she ran the last 1/8 11.61 or something to that affect, while carrying 129 lbs. That's pretty sick, regardless of the surface. I agree with you that the BCC stands to be MUCH more difficult this year, but I refuse to dismass last year's BCC. The form in that race speak pretty clearly for itself.

  • @kerkhoff1 Quality Road and Zenyatta will meet in the Classic so when she takes him down along with Blame and all the other characters lining up to try to take her crown then lets see what you have to say buddy.

  • Do I believe QR can beat Zen giving her 3lbs?? No doubt without question. Do I think QR can get 10F now as a 4yo? No doubt. Its gonna be Ghostzapper all over, everyone doubted his distance limitations, he ran everyone off their feet. Right now Quality Road is to damn fast for Zen sorry.

  • And we all thought Citation's record of 16 for 16 would stand forever...wow

  • Let that Quality Road thing go. You cannot judge St. Trinians by her flop in the Big Cap because not all females want to or are willing to compete with males. Remember St. Trinians crushed Life at The Top who won the Ladies Classic last year. St. Trinians is an excellent mare and ran huge today as a lot of people expected going off at just 2-1. You will have your chance to beat Zenyatta at Churchill Downs in this years breeders cup classic.

  • Man what a horse I know she is the best horse that I have ever seen and probably the best I will ever see it just gives me chills to watch her run.

  • Im a huge Z fan was a shaking severly after the race. However Im calling it as I see it. Name me a horse that Zen has faced who can carry his speed all the way around the track. QR is a monster at 9F and under. I believe being 4 he will easily get 10. Its just gonna be like Ghostzapper. All year ppl said he cant get 10, then he goes on to romp one of the best BCC fields ever. Quality Road will beat Zen this year. She nearly lost to St. T and Annabass Creations! They arent in his league

  • @kerkhoff1

Do you honestly think QR could beat Zenyatta giving her 3 lbs?

  • @kerkhoff1

Quality Road cant get a mile and a quarter my friend...Hes O-fer...And in chuchill he will continue that streak as Z rolls on bye.....

  • Rail Trip's trainer was asked if he'd be running against Z any time soon and basically said no way. It'll take a LOT of weight to get fields for her to run against now. She made the 129 look SO easy...esp. when the other handicap "high" weights lately are 124 and less...

  • Zenyatta knows EXACTLY where the wire is and how fast to run to get there first. She ran the last 1/8 in 11 & change-practically flying -and did it with her ears pricked again. When she hit the outside at the top of the stretch, she stopped to pose for the roaring crowd just like she did in the BCC, so Mike had to remind her she wasn't done yet. Z only runs as fast as she needs to, but remember, she ran the last mile of the BCC faster than the WINNING time in the BCmile. She's fast enough...

  • Ok honest question if St. Tarianis was racing against Quality Road or Rail Trip would anyone give her a shot!? No! Zen was all out to beat St. T by a head! Zen is capable of more, but lets face it here, Rail Trip and Quality Road both beat her today. Zenyatta is not the front runner for HOY in my mind. Same races, not in open company.

  • @kerkhoff1: Excellent question.

  • @kerkhoff1

Let them carry 129 lbs against stakes winners and we will see.

  • @barrydan75, amen to that!!! St Trinians is a very good synthetic surface mare herself. But Zenyatta was carrying 9 lbs. more than St Trinians in this race. As for the rest of the field, the usual. Zenyatta carries a boulder, while the rest carry a brick. There's nothing in racing like this mare!!! Always has the gears to dig down, and find what's needed to get to the wire first!! Just amazing!!!

  • @kerkhoff1

"Zenyatta is not the front runner for HOY in my mind. Same races, not in open company. "

    Jess Jackson is that you?

  • @FEARTHECHOMP1

You would honestly vote Zenyatta? Running the same races in the same state against the same horses over and over? Im sorry but Zen is capable of SOOO much more and her connections hold her down. Its not a career accomplishment, its a year accomplishment. IF they keep running the same campeign she wont win.

  • @kerkhoff1

Man if she wins the next 3 going 20-20 in winning the classic...She will not only win the HOY she win the horse of the GD Century...

  • OMG!! This nearly gave me a heart attack!! My suspicions about St Trinians came true she did give Zen a good run, but of course no one can take away the Queen's crown. This just solidifies to me that she is indeed the front runner for HOY so far. As much as I would like to see her run against maybe the boys or a bit tougher, no denying that a Grade 1 win is a grade 1 win and that she holds the all-time record now 17-0!!!! What else can be said of her now?? Go Zenyatta!! See ya there next time!!!

  • Thanks for posting this and all of the horse racing pieces you post. Zenyatta is just in a league of her own and it's a joy to watch over and over again!!

  • ALL she does is WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..She beats EVRYBODY they put up against her..Give her,her due.....We all cry out for Superhorse..And ,we have one..and yet ,you miserable people want to dis her..Just sit back, and enjoy something we might not see for a long time..if ever

  • She looks like a quarter horse in the stretch and her ears are pricked the whole way!!!

  • In a moment, I thought she is going to lose. D... She's good. Her closing kick is simply awesome.. In all fairness, RA might be able to beat her IF they run 1 1/16, four horses field, all closing except RA, RA's favorite track. In BC field at classic distance (1 1/4), RA has ZERO chance. Good luck RA.

  • Goodness, I was there. Just got home, it was such a thrill to watch Zenyatta race. I feel so lucky to be there! She's awesome, she's beautiful!!! TEAM ZENYATTA!!! And, now, I have a bobble head of Zenyatta, too. :)

  • @fortheloveofthehorse Zenyatta fans were out in full force today. Saw it on TVG. Zenyatta is thrilling if anything. Too bad she hasn't been on the East Coast. Maybe Monmouth will offer a few Mil for a showdown. Zenyatta vs Rachel vs Quality Road. I love Rachel but Zenyatta's win is good for the industry which needs all the help it can get. Can we get a Halliluyah and Amen?

  • @getcreamed Amen! She's great for the sport. It was awesome being there today. :)

  • st. trinians was quoted as saying, "WTF? I can't believe I got run down." st. trinians was at her maximum best, 9 lb. weight difference, and she ran her eyeballs out. still can't beat her.

  • @lawgdawg14 : Isn't this the same horse that flattened out & finished 6th last time out ??

  • @jermocide22 If you're referring to the Big Cap, and St. Trinians running 6th, then you are correct. She disappointed in that race big time

  • @jermocide22 It isn't my fault if you can't measure good horseflesh. St. Trinians is a better runner than Rachel Alexandra. She couldn't carry the SA Handicap distance and massive field, but she is a huge kicker. St. Trinians ran the best race of her life with a perfect setup and trip carrying 9 less lbs than Zenyatta on a track (albeit synthetic at HOL) that still favors speed/stalking types. Rachel Alexandra hasn't beaten one horse in her life as good as St. Trinians.

  • @lawgdawg14 definately. she was flying down the stretch but it seems like zenyatta knows where the wire is

  • Thank you for all of your (prompt) positng.

  • the best horse ive ever seen in over 25 years of watching racing on a daily basis. running down st. trinians today when any other horse in history wouldve finished a tough-luck second... very special.

  • @lawgdawg14: Are you serious. No other horse would've ran down St. Trinians. THE IMMORTAL ST. TRINIANS HUH ??

  • @jermocide22 you're out of your element, donnie.

  • If Zenyatta, even giving up 9 lbs. to a very high quality mare like St Trinians. Plus, coming from 12 lengths off of the lead, has enough gears to run her down and go by her. There's NO WAY you can convince me that she couldn't run Rachel Alexandra down and go right on by her too. It's all about that "refuse to lose" attitude.

  • I'm going to send Mike Smith the bill from the cardiologist that I'm going to have to go see now.

  • @tat4229 Oh my gosh! i hear ya!

  • This video makes me wanna cry like I did at the Classic :) CONGRATS ZENYATTA AND MIKEY!!! I LOVE YOU BOTH!!!

  • Awesome!

  • @Virtie333, Agreed!!!!! Sometimes it only takes a single word like "AWESOME" to describe perfection and greatness!!!!!

  • Make no mistake about it. St Trinians is one of the very best mares that Zenyatta has raced in her career. But this race is an excellent example of Zenyatta's talent. Giving up 9 lbs. to St Trinians, and going about 7 or 8 wide around the final turn. Unbelievable. Zenyatta know's where the wire is, and simply refuses to lose. She now stands atop the racing history book alone. Having surpassed the immortal Citation amd legendary Cigar for most consecutive wins without a loss in open class company

  • If she wasn't so far back, she would have won by a bigger margin, but a win is a win :) Score one for Zenyatta! Final Score (as of June 2010): Zenyatta: 3 Rachel: 1, I think my fellow youtubers can figure out the winner :D. ZENYATTA 4EVER!!!!

  • @futurejockey8 : I'll give you that for right now, but we can now see why they chose the Vanity. AND THE CLEMENT HIRSCH next. 6yo is 6yo. Better retire her now cause she had to be all out today to catch that horse. No extra gear today. AND MIKE SMITH PUT THE WHIP ON THAT ASS TODAY. SAY SHE WASN'T BREATHING TODAY. I dare you.

  • @jermocide22 retire? lmao you sir are retarded. keep drinking that haterade

  • oh god she almost gave me a heart attack!! lol Shes so amazing!

  • On to the Gold Cup, I say!!

I was watching this live on NTRA and of course the feed had to stop right as they got onto the stretch haha

    Great job Zenyatta!

  • @kijuuki, my NTRA feed also stopped, LOL, I was about to kill my computer... it also kept pausing randomly down the backstretch, how annoying when the Queen herself is racing, xD,

  • SIMPLY ZENSATIONAL - one more piece of unfinished business and then I think we can call it a career.

  • line em up and she just knocks em down.
