Tip #1 for traveling in Los Angeles, People in Los Angeles do not flag down cabs... We call for cabs... I beg to differ with the comment about that being a typical taxi man in LA... They were asshole's that knew exactly what they were doing and tourists were most likely their specialty. Flagging down the cab gave you away as a tourist so you were and easy target. Sorry that happened to you....
