it's called reverse sneeze syndrome. totally harmless. my corgi does it when he gets excited or eats too fast.

Again, this is no hiccups. This could be a serious reaction to a substance dogs are allergic to like chocolate, grapes, etc. Or an obstruction in the airway.

That is not hiccups. My Corgi did the did the same thing and we recently took her to the vet. Taking benydryl now, may get xrays for an obstruction this week if it doesn't clear up.

What was the update on this? I'm just curious. I'd like to someday piece together why my Corgi passed away at such a young age without warning. He did this occasionally, we always figured he was just nauseous.

@VampireSeduction you should get a papillon and welsh mix. i have one and there the best. but mines a cardgin (bad spelling) and papiolln mix
