We are a Christian family and when interest rates were high in the early 80's my wife had to go out to work. We left our 4 year old daughter with a JW for baby sitting. Not unitl she was 14 yrs old did we find out that the JW man had been raping her when we left her with them. She was seriously ill with depression as a result and her poems make me cry.
Now she wont have anything to do with any church. God will judge the man and I am glad I wont be there to witness His judgement.

I used to be a JW too. I left after 2 years as I decided it was not a God I was familiar with. My God was a God of love and peace, and I could not not relate to a God of 'excessive discipline' and 'chastisement'. This talk of wrath etc was confusing to me. However 10 years later, I totally understand now the 'discipline' of God. I got myself into all sorts of sinful behaviour that could now by life threatening. I completely understand the need for 'house rules'. Don't turn away from God.

Yes, there are crazy brainwashed JWs... but there are crazy brainwashed people in every denomination. Not all people in any denomination are crazy or brainwashed. Some people believe the bible including 1 Corinthians 8:6 stating "there is for us only one God, the Father" (same in any translation, not just the NWT).
That being said, there are plenty of JWs with cancer. And there are plenty of blood alternatives that work better and have fewer side effects from a medical viewpoint.

Number 2. The meetings so I asked 4 help 2 get there I was refused that help and when I was able 2 get myself 2 the meetings I was ridiculed 4 wearing an eye patch and was quizd about why I had not been the meetings 4 three months there is such a lot more to tell

A kingdom hall is the church of jws. If you look up churches in the yellow pages, you should be able to find the one local to you. Get the address and write a letter saying that you don't want t be called on. Be sure to include your name and address.

I know the poison that those people teach and their mind-control attitude, and the way they protect child-molestors from law or being treated to stop molesting. You have no idea what the true roots of the org are, but I advise you to look up Russell's Pyramid memorial, and study the Silent Lambs movement, as well as JWs for Blood Reform. i lost my friend who was a jehovahs witness she left 2 kids.i left the religon and that was one of the reasons.but i was always taken home because i was a naughty.i was about 6 years all i was put on the stage where my dad was talking out of`there bible.i put pole mints in my eyes and everyone laugh.that got me sent my room.ha ha

There are lots op people that stop with the way of life of the witnesses, who live as God wants them to live.
They are free to leave.
But its a pity that some did.
The experiences after they do are not always positive.
I am sure some would turn back the hands of time if they could.

Yes, there are crazy brainwashed JWs... but there are crazy brainwashed people in every denomination. Not all people in any denomination are crazy or brainwashed. Some people believe the bible including 1 Corinthians 8:6 stating "there is for us only one God, the Father" (same in any translation, not just the NWT).
That being said, there are plenty of JWs with cancer. And there are plenty of blood alternatives that work better and have fewer side effects from a medical viewpoint.

(Continued) From a religious standpoint, the organization itself isn't really that important. Not all us JWs are controlling, but if you were in an environment that was spiritually damaging to you, it's better for your relationship with God to be maintained than your status in a congregation. Just don't let the mistakes of ignorant -people- affect your relationship with God. That's the most important thing.

Not sure where you're from, but in America, you're free to have that opinion. However, some people take the bible religiously. You have the legal right to insult it, but you really shouldn't be shocked or consider it "blackmail" when someone wouldn't want to associate with a person mocking their religion.

cont from my last comment. If a Dr. told you that you need a sugery to survive, but you only had a 5% chance of survival, would you still have the surgery? Same w/ JW. even though some have done bad, imperfect people involved and some new thoughts come out, they are the closest thing to the truth out there. take a look around I did I was raised a JW. left for 20 yrs and came back, I have seen both sides of the spectrum here

I mean, if they are wrong so what they live a good moral clean life, But if they are right, and you have turned away from Jehovah, what does that mean for you? Yes I see alot of bad things that have happened to some of you. But there are bad apples in ever batch. Just a thought

Number 2. The meetings so I asked 4 help 2 get there I was refused that help and when I was able 2 get myself 2 the meetings I was ridiculed 4 wearing an eye patch and was quizd about why I had not been the meetings 4 three months there is such a lot more to tell

Was born and raised a JW for 35 yrs, and am now an ex. For me.. there were many good things about being raised that way. It helped mold me to be the father, husband, and productive member of society I am today, and gave me a moral compass. But lemme tell you.. if my kids had cancer.. I would do ANYTHING to give them a chance at the life god wants us all to have. Take care, and I hope you're feeling better.

I was raised with a JW mother from the age five, until I ran away at 15, due to being molested. It has taken me YEARS to de-program myself, thanks to all the GREAT info on the wonderful web!

JW policy is to take the word of the pedophile over the victim. They call it "giving the benefit of the doubt". What this does is forms a safe haven for pedophiles. They also correlate young ones with all types of sex practices in their propaganda. They claim to do this as "timely reminders", but what it does is solidifies in the imaginations of the members the young ones in their midst engaging in all kinds of weird sex practices. A kingdom hall is the church of jws. If you look up churches in the yellow pages, you should be able to find the one local to you. Get the address and write a letter saying that you don't want t be called on. Be sure to include your name and address.

Another thing is to tell them to write you down on their "territory card" as a "do not call". This is terminology they will understand. Then ask each one of them for their names. This will ensure that they write down the information on the card.

Think nothing of it. When I was inside we did everything we could to dance around them stopping us from coming back. We had this deeply ingrained belief that one day they would accept our religion. It was crazy. If you use the terminology I gave you, they will know exactly what they need to do.

The only experience I have with JWs are the ones that come to my door and I have a great Uncle that doesn't have anything to do with the family because he is a JW.I didn't grow up in the church but I am a christian.

I second the deceit. They will love bomb you to get you in and then shun you if you leave. You will be trapped the way we were. Every one of us that has gotten out has had to deal with tremendous losses and severe psychological problems. To make matters worse, some come on here on youtube where we've been able to gather as a group of like minded individuals and insult us and try to guilt induce us all over again.
