the harrier has 2 rear (hot) thrusters and 2 front (cold) thrusters to keep it balanced. The F-35 has 1 giant thruster in the rear and a huge fan in the middle when the doors open to keep it balanced

@meteor4163 this is what i think. because the harrier has 4 thrusters (or whatever they are called) so it distributes the weight of the plane. and the f-35 just has one big thruster, idk
