  • can i install this driver on whiite lenny-based to have the GUI ?

    if yes :

    how i can do that?

PS: thank you and sorry for my english!!! bye

  • what is the command for changing the background? or putting things from usb to sd?

  • can you use a wirless router to use internet on wii linuxs

  • no............

  • sure

  • That's sick man! Hey, why is Snake (off the mgs series) on there? Isn't Snake a Sony exclusive, or maybe I'm wrong?

  • naww man hes sony and nintendo cheack it out look for a game called metal gear solid twin snakes for gc and hes also in super smansh bros brawl. lol

  • Yeah man, you're right! I just remebered. Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 (not metal gear solid 1 and metal gear solid 2) were on the nes and the snes, if I remember correctly.

  • @robertneville777 Nope, you're perfectly wrong, Metal Gear 1 and 2 were both for the MSX japanese home computer. The ones on the NES were not official.

  • @MrCadefulp Hmmm, ok...thanks for the correction :P

  • He was in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

  • @robertneville777

No Konami own the MGS IP

  • Can you use an internet browser on this and download things like you would to a PCs desktop?

  • why certainly. you only have to look at the other wii linux videos to see firefox (iceweasel) using it. I'm not sure about the status of the wifi, you may still have to use an adaptor

  • can you make a video on how to do this on are wiiiiiiiiiii

  • I have a question! How do you manage to type for example your login when linux is booting? From my knowledge, the wii does not have a keyboard right?

  • USB keyboard, same with mouse.

  • No way!! Even if your right, you cannot plug in both of them! There is only one usb port on the wii.

  • no there are 2

  • You can use an USB HUB, so you have up to 4 slots for each USB connector:

    1 Slot for USB HD

1 Slot for a 4 USB hub-> Here you connect the Mouse and Keyboard

  • INCORRECT THERE ARE 2 ON THE BACK!

  • lol how is it incorrect, he said he uses hub to get more then 2 usb's, he did not say he has 4 or any other number

  • I was talking about GlowingDarker. He says there was only one. Look at his comment on it.

  • also, theres a usb to PS/2 converter, in which you can plug in both a mouse and keyboard in 1 port

  • great work!

will it be possible (some day) to run, lets say ubuntu on wii?

  • Is there a How-To for this Video? And considering that libdi was released, we have a whole new range of possibilities with Wii-Linux. Perhaps a live distro (well with a launcher on the SD Card and files on the Disc!)

  • How big is the dev team for wii linux? I'd love to start porting some stuff (i've been considering buying a wii just to play with linux). I've got an old g3 imac sitting around in my closet, do you think that old PPC arch would still be able to compile for the wii? I'm not really informed on PPC/Instruction sets, are there any new ones on the Broadway chip that I'd lack on the g3?

    Thanks

  • do u have to use a linux cd

  • Maybe because it isn't PS3 ;),nor yellowdog nor anything like that. I'm building this from 0, so don't spect to have it up and running today.

  • Thanks for your work. It looks very nice.

  • The elf is 2,3MB, but it might be smaller if i use modules and avoid the ramdisk. The usb should be at least 2GB, but i have to remove too many files and libraries that i dont use.

  • No, you only needs an USB hard drive, homebrew channel and an SD card, and an USB mouse and keyboard
