Best song from my all time favorite movie.nothing like starting the Wizard, this song fades in and you see Jimmy walking, the highway, the heat waves, = best feeling of nostalgia ever! If I had a time machine, this period of my childhood would be re-visited first.
"Come on, Spanky. Faster, faster!
I'm already in a world of trouble when ol' Pete find out I stole his rig.
Brilliant!..Originating from WI..Seen these guys numerous times...Damn it they are the fucking "Real McCoy" man...IF you're so lucky to see the Bodeans, DO IT! Party in the here and now my friends..................................You don't get much....
A dear friend of mine who has since passed, turned me on to The BoDeans back when Home came out. I still tell everyone about it and play it often. This is one of my favorites from the album, but I love all the songs.
What this song means for me can be summed up in the lyric "Hearts that fall in two, pretend they don't show". It sums up a time in my life when I was in an unrequited love situation in grad school. Awesome, perceptive thought put to paper for which I will forever be grateful.
they are notorious for it, i met them and befriended through my father, a photographer, and was inspired to write, perform, mix and produce, they even know of me and their inspiration.. kurt and sammy are spectacular
I have been searching for this song for longer than you can even imagine. The Wizard is, and will always be, one of my all-time favorite movies. Beautifully captures the essence of an era far gone.
Thank you very much for your two videos. The Adventurer is touching my heart. The title "You Don't Get Much" reminds me a lot of the Scottish Band Runrig. I like Runrig. :)
I am really glad you like it. this song for me is something wonderful ... I listen at least once a day and I never get tired to hear it again ... thanks to you all, it's great that a song can give so many emotions!!
This is one of the most special and heart-tugging songs of all time from one of the greatest movies ever made, "The Wizard", directed by Todd Holland and starring Fred Savage from 1989. Kudos to this video creation. You did an awesome job. Five stars out of five.
You are seriously the best person alive for uploading this. I really wish I could buy you dinner. The Wizard is my favorite movie and to hear this kind of quality on this song.....seriously thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Awesome song...the pictures made me replay it and send it to friends. Nice!

This track worked so well with the opening of the movie where you see the main character walk down the road.

Jimmy only wanted to go to California to leave his sister's mementos in the Dinosaur & overcome his pain....... this was the music to do it to.

Brings me back to when I first saw The Wizard as a kid. I loved living in those times. I was a big NES fan as a kid.
