@CharlesRoss2007 Just search "Eric Peterson guitar lesson". Basically the key of this technique is to move your thumb and index finger (while holding the pick) along with the wrist. If you develop this technique properly it nearly doubles the speed of your alternate picking. But it takes awhile to master it.

He's a very good lead player, which makes me wonder why he only plays rhythm guitar on the Testament albums. His sweep and alternate picking is quite good.

Eric is one of the most underrated guitarists in metal. Sure he's in Testament, but when people mention Testament, the names Chuck Billy and Alex Skolnick come to mind.

But then you see him shredding like this and it's like... Woah. Makes me wonder why Eric doesnt do more leads. I know he shares leads with Alex sometimes, but I'm talking let Alex do some rhythm. Share the spot light!

@JessyDevilVendetta Eric gives Testament its music structure (as far as main riffs and the whole style of the band go). But Alex adds something really interesting (something of a Spanish nature). It works out awesome when combined. But I still love Testament's period without Alex.
