You have great tone and great licks, but do yourself a favor and get a MXR Dynacomp. Think you'll like that a lot better than your Dano for a compressor.
awesome job!!! badass. i'm gonna try to tackle this one next i think! just posted me playin Brad's solo to Huckleberry Jam---if you have a sec, check it out! thanks! keep rockin :) -Sonya
hey, cool video, i'm learnin' it atm, were did u get ur tab for it? cos I'v worked out everything up to the solo but i figure i should get the tab because working out the solo will be a lot of work..
That was really great....a true tribute to what can be done if you stick with it!!!!! Way to go!!!!! how long have you been playing buddy if you dont mind my asking???....Rock on!
Indyram360: You might want to think about getting a compressor pedal...the Keeley Compressor is probably the best out there. However, Boss offers a pretty cheap alternative, which isn't as good but, from what I've heard, it isn't bad at all! Also, Visual Sound offers a pedal called the Route 66 which has compression and overdrive (like their Jekyll & Hyde pedal, but compression instead of distortion). Also, tube amps help quite a bit!
thepola360: You can actually find the tab to this song in a Brad Paisley music book called something like "Best of Brad Paisley." You can find the book on Amazon, if you really want the tab!
Great :D Much easier to learn for other guitarists too when you don't have those ANNOYING DRUMMERS (hint) and other band members messing around and above and whatever.... :)
what the hell is up with all these people criticizing this guys guitar playing hell 99 percent of the people couldn't tell if this guy was off or not so who the hell cares he's still great
dude, i'm sorry, you are pretty close to the stuff but your timing is off. i am a guitar teacher at musician's paradise in hamlin wv and i know personally that those are some particular chromatic bluegrass licks. if ya ever wanna learn some of the theory behind the solo just come see me.
Dude, it's not a race to spill all the notes as fast as you can. Count the beats, slow it down, it's not quite that fast. And practice to drum beat! Your mechanics are fine, but feel and timing is so important to any playing style or tune for that matter. It should be your be your last step to the "icing on the cake."
Mistakes are common to all of us brother! Very nice pickin' man!!!

Thanks...the camera mic doesn't do a good job of capturing the sound. It sounds kind of the thin to me, But it still sound good though!
mooman2679 4 years ago
Are you using standard tuning?? all the notes sound melodically accurate, just your rhythm you got to work on. Try doing it to the track? Good though
