the song reflects his childhood life the phils...the lyrics are no way meant to be negative...as a 31 yr old fil am, i drive thru ghettos in america and see sad faces, and desperate people resorting to crime and theft....i go to the phils at least 4 xs a year as i own a few properties there and whenever i go thru sampaloc, tondo, or divisoria i see deperation too but i also see happy smiling faces amongst the poor...its very humbling to me, and theyre just as friendly as your next door neighbor
