I don't think pot should be legalized. True, it helps when you're stressed out and need relaxing (I don't smoke it btw) but there are some people out there that just can't handle it, and they're the reason why pot is illegal. I just don't think it would be a good idea to legalize it, we would have a higher crime rate anyways.

The handling test was really helpful as I am researching into owning snakes, it looks to me that the handling methods for difficult snakes is the same as with any animal, furred or scaled, always handle with confidence and assertiveness. I have several types of rescue pets (rats, ferrets and dogs) who all need to be handled with confidence and assertiveness otherwise they are difficult to handle. Not just for fearful animals but also dominant/feisty ones!

As for pot, I really don't care. XD

If it's brightly coloured or highly pattered, it's best to avoid it. One definate way when actually handling them is to find out if they can curl back on themselves and try to bite you, or if their neck muscles are weak against gravity. I still wouldn't reccomend handling wild ones though, even pythons can have strong bites regardless of venom or not (also including the constriction.)

This is a question----and a comment-----I always found that dropping a towel over the snake's head and then picking it up securely from underneath kept it calm as I removed my huge python from her cage. I only kept the cloth on until I had the snake in my hands. This works like blinders on a horse. This way you don't have to put up with it striking out of fear etc. Try it. Really, and tell me if it works for you on your angrier snakes.
