I can't comprehend how a band could be more gripping than Radiohead. It's almost like their music exists within it's own world, and we are given temporary entry.
glad they are back on form, but they had to bring the twilight brigade with them, also Thome didnt you have a receeding hairline in 1997 now dreg like curtains, still best band of my generation, if you havent see them live, I am now embarrassed by my own spelling and comment
Thom does that to indicate the band to stop at the current bar. You can actually see him do it in several ways throughout several Radiohead live music videos
@XsoysuicidaX Thom did that to indicate the band to not go unto the next bar. You can see him do it in several ways throughout the live Radiohead music videos. Sometimes he counts, sometimes he screams, or gives some subtle hint. Very unique
Jonny Greenwood were probably influenced by Imaginary Landscape by John Cage for the intro with a radio channel. It is a very nice idea. Thank you for the video.
I've always wondered...when this song is played live you always hear a radio excerpt over the PA. Is that Johnny using his radio to tune into what's on air right as they're playing the song? If so, that's pretty cool.
this is the funniest song in the world to cover.. this is so much fucking room to play with it.. it is the perfect jam song.. and all you guitar players.. buy an ebow.. you can reproduce johnny's odnes sound almost perfectly!
dude!!!!!!please!jonny is not playing the ebow in this song man!he actually never plays the ebow!thats ed.....you never have seen them live have you?do you know what the name of the instrument that jonny is playing in this song?i do but i must ask you....do you know?
lol. yeah my bad.. hes playing an odes and a radio lol.. in the live at feast im pretty sure he is playing the ebow (or fucking with feedback).. but yeah.. that was kinda dumb of me
shutup. he said in the original post " you can recreate jonnys ODNES sound perfectly" He was right, and you are wrong. Also, stop typing like some dorky 15 year old American, unless that is what you happen to be. in that case.... ummmm.... carry on.
yeah, proving yer years of maturity there, he what the guy said is true, you can re-create the sound, he is not saying that johnny is playing that. its like how he uses a digitech whammy in paranoid android, great well if you play that part on the thrid, second and first fret of your G and B strings you can get the same sound, leave the guy alone
i may have been a bit harsh on the guy but he knew what i was saying.i assume he is a bit of a music snob just as i and we were able 2 see eye 2 eye on it...but others feel they need 2 jump in.its ok...and i dont disagree with you.
lol i think the radio thing at the beginning makes a reference to australia ending america's 132 year winning streak in the America's Cup. radiohead! :D
One particularity of this song is the fact that ALWAYS is played differently. All the versions are unique. This one, the studio version and the "Saturday Night Live" performance are my favorites.
@Zedetnik Well yeah they said the radio parts they use are just local radio stations they pick up at the concert, so when they play in places like spain they have spanish radio on it.
@lafla2 But this music is based on the chaos theory, you can hear that on the studio version. Every brass instrument recorded a free-jazz solo without hearing each other, after joining them together they got what mathematicians call 'Complex Dynamical Systems', society works just like that. Welcome to the Post-structuralist concept of a nation! (I just got one word for this song: MASTERPIECE)
The crowd is so boring... there should be a riot, people literally throwing themselves around, ripping their clothes off, I don't know, something to equal the immense power created by this fucking amazing bass line
I love how he puts his hands up when he's about to start signing.

@fenwayfaith37 That's not a theremin, it's an Ondes Martenot.
Quite similar .. but very different as well.
