The reason for the x's in their names is to take away from the somebody's name. If you take x from Roxas and rearrange the letters,you get Sora. Take x from Axel you, rearrange, you get Lea. Get it? Good.
@7xprototype i think the only reason Roxas looks like Ventus is because that is the part of Sora's heart that was turned into a heartless. Therefore Roxas is really Ven's Nobody and Sora is what's left of Venitas. The good it Sora corrputed the darkness in Venitas. Just guessing as to the paradox that is Sora. Filled with Heartless, Nobodies, and Unversed.

I have a theory that Roxas IS Ventus. You know how Ventus placed his heart inside Sora, and then Sora stabbed himself in the first KH with that badass dark keyblade that could steal people's hearts? Well I think that Ventus' heart remained inside Sora's body when he became a heartless and acted on its own, thus creating Roxas. However, when Roxas and Sora reunited in KH2 in order to revive Sora, Ventus' heart returned to Sora. Let me know what you guys think, and like this comment if u agree ^_^

@MrKillspawn Ah yes. If you play BBS, you can notice this is another trademark 'KH 2 Xehanort' and Xemnas took with them when Master Xehanort took control of Terra's body. Some of his knowledge and memories went with him, including his obsession with forging the 'X-blade' between Ventus and Vanitas reuniting together.
That's why Org. XIII have an 'x' in their names. It is just kinda like a flashback to a time long before KH 1 and even KH BBS if you read the Xehanort reports.

And something else: during the game, when you have one of your first missions with Xion, and then she finds out she can use the Keyblade when she defeats a Darkside with Roxas' Keyblade. But at the beginning, when she joins the Organization, Xemnas tells everyone to "welcome one of the Keyblade's chosen". How can he say that when she doesn't know she can use it yet? Did Xemnas know already because he mnew about Sora?

@NvMeLiAmM well i just beat kingdom hearts bbs and i came acrost alot of the orgy 13 somebodys and all you have to do is add a X to there names and move the letters around for example axles somebodys name is lea add a x move the letters around and you get axle....... its kinda bizarre if you ask me :\

@NvMeLiAmM oh i played all the storys on normal and it took me a month to be Xehanort peired...it tookk me a week to beat vanetus....and i beet aquas bosses in one day they went that hard for some reason

@MrKillspawn Ah yes. If you play BBS, you can notice this is another trademark 'KH 2 Xehanort' and Xemnas took with them when Master Xehanort took control of Terra's body. Some of his knowledge and memories went with him, including his obsession with forging the 'X-blade' between Ventus and Vanitas reuniting together.
That's why Org. XIII have an 'x' in their names. It is just kinda like a flashback to a time long before KH 1 and even KH BBS if you read the Xehanort reports.

And something else: during the game, when you have one of your first missions with Xion, and then she finds out she can use the Keyblade when she defeats a Darkside with Roxas' Keyblade. But at the beginning, when she joins the Organization, Xemnas tells everyone to "welcome one of the Keyblade's chosen". How can he say that when she doesn't know she can use it yet? Did Xemnas know already because he mnew about Sora?
