  • U people who think this is fake, go and tell that to the families of the people who lost their loved in the massacre.

  • @despitetheneverafect This is FAKE. It's from "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" remake about 10 years ago. There was no Texas Chainsaw Massacre in real life. It was based on a guy named Ed Gein in the 1950s. He didn't have a chainsaw. He didn't live in Texas (he was in Wisconsin). In fact, he was ALSO the same guy "Psycho" was based on..as well as Buffalo Bill (but NOT Hannibal Lector) in "Silence of the Lambs". Research it yourself.

  • @despitetheneverafect go google Thomas Hewitt and see how many ppl he really killed

  • COOL, how they try to make U believe it really happend, they should've put this at the beginning of the original film

  • Say that*

  • Fake fake fake wow u people suck its fake. It's based of ed gien

  • @spikedavid64 how is this fake??this actually happened and that was real footage it even said in the movie that its a true story remember?

  • @Diveous They said that in the movie to scare people just like how they said it was real in the first one the guy who played Leatherface in the original Gunnar Hensan even said it was fake it was just loosly based off Ed Gein but I am sure there is someone out there who acts like Leatherface anways it is very easy to shoot black and white footage like this too everything in this is fake its a cleaver way of making the footage look old and real :)

  • @spikedavid64 finally someone who knows something about something! thumbs up for you

  • @spikedavid64 whos ed gein?

  • @5clockwerk Ed Gein was a farmer who had mama issues and when she died he started taking bodies from graves and making lamp shades amongst other things from the skins. He actually had a belt made of nipples. However, they only proved he killed two people but always suspected he murdered more than that. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre amongst other films is EXTREMELY LOOSELY based off of Gein.

  • lol tcm is a made up story ...js

  • I thought this was fake when i saw the films but This is real because I asked my grandad and he's 86 and he said at the time it was all over the news bu the scary thing is he's still out there damm police why can't they do they job properly although he's probably dead somewhere

  • @xXZ3kest4rXx you n your grandpa are wrong cuz this was based on Ed Gein in Wisconsin

  • I asked my grams about this, and she said it was all over the news, for about a month or so, it was the biggest thing, but what i like to know what happen after the footage end?

  • Is this seriously real? I'm not sure if i really believe it.

  • THAT WAS TRUE AND I WAS IN IT ABOUT 6 YRS OLD I RAN AWAY FROM UTAH WHERE THERE WAS NOTHING BUT MAIMHAM. • Comment removed

  • @TheUnpredictable88 No it wasnt my father who knows what the hell he is talking about said it had nothing to do with texas and it actuall was real it took place in rural wisconsin

  • is this story still true today?

  • i paused this at 2:22 by accident and it looks like the police officer was trolling

  • My friend was the producer for this movie. It was based on Ed Gein.

  • who else saw that MAD magazine?

  • @17Ziek me,i lol'd a lil too

  • dance,dance like you're having a seuizure

dance, dance this is causing a fiiit

  • The fact that there are actually people who believe The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was really based on a true story is a testament to two things. One, it is a testament to Tobe Hoopers amazing film, and 2, to peoples general ignorance.

  • Anyone else .lives in Texas?

  • @tirex512 yeppp

  • @tirex512 East Texas Right Here

  • Comment removed

  • Lol this is just the footage from the movie.

  • This footage is fake

Texas chain saw massacre did happen but the Dude only killed like 3-5 people.

  • @MakTheMc People, watch the story here on youtube then read up about it for more info if you like: Ed Gein, the butcher of plainsfield and you will see the TRUTH. The texas chainsaw, as good and riveting as it was was NOT a true story. It was a cinematic masterpiece of PURE FICTION, by an AWESOME director, TOBE HOOPER. It was based around the story of the seriel killer Ed gein. LEATHERFACE was inspired by this man. Anybody in horror knows that.

  • @hellraisr1981 i'll agree with that. prolly got mixed up with it cuhz back in the day i read a book on like all the top serial killers. Ed gein does match him perfectly

  • @hellraisr1981 It was based on a serial killer.

  • @hellraisr1981 It was based on REAL killers Ted Bundy and Jeff Dahmer.

  • @dessybaby1000 Umm, the movie was made before those two did what they did, or at least waaay before Dahmer.

  • @Adventurestud No honey, it was based on those two killers. I'm a Physcologist, I think I would know.

  • @dessybaby1000 What does being a psychologist have to do with anything? Dahmer started killing in 1978, four years AFTER the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre was released. Unless Toby Hooper is a time traveler, he didn't base Leatherface on him. That, and he's stated in interviews that the character is based on Ed Gein.

  • @dessybaby1000 Fail, it was based on Ed Gein, Bundy and Dahmer were both necrophiliacs, Bundy targeted young adult women, Dahmer adolescent boys, completely different than Gein's psychopathology which is what the movie's "leatherface" is based on

  • @IQsquare No honey, YOU fail.

  • @hellraisr1981 And by Norman Bates in "Psycho"

  • @hellraisr1981 there was something like this that happened in Texas though. And police called the slaying "The Texas Chainsaw Massacare". It was just one guy that killed a few people out in the woods with a chainsaw though. It wasn't how it is in the movie....

  • Is this real? I don't really understand how it could be.

  • Thumbs up if you notice the mad magizine lmao

  • u poontangs do realize the real killer was ed gein and he made furnitutre out of human skin, didn't use a chainsaw, and acted alone, this shit is fake, or i'd have killed the mufucka

  • its a true story but i dont think 1 GUY whent around and killed over 50 people and got away with it

  • This be a real footage but not of leatherface beacuse he is fake ok

  • omfg this is not even real it was ed gein the writer of teaxes chainsaw massecre got the idea from ed gein and thats why the said it was based on a true story beacuse their was a man called ed gein who used to kill people but not with chainsaws the writer go the idea from eg gein noobs get it trough your head!

  • Even thought it's not true and didn't happen, it's still entertaining and believable to some. If you want true facts and stories search Ed Gein, because he's the closest thing you'll get to Leatherface.

  • fuck man im only fucking 10 and i now all this shit im on some ones else acounnt

  • Comment removed

  • This did happen, albeit not the way the movie depicts.

In 1946 or 47 there was someone killing people around Texarkana, TX, Atlanta, TX and Domino, TX.

There was evidence that implicated the son of a prominent citizen.

    Nothing ever materialized.

Was really young when my granddad use to tell me of the events.

No chainsaw involved, no wearing the skin.

Just shot them with .32 Cal revolver when he was finished.

Never seen the movie, but have been told the town that dreaded sundown was, out of spac

  • ur an idiot it happened in texas hella long ago it is a true story just a little bit diffrent from the movie and this footage is real too so get it right.

  • the scratches on the wall shows, this is absolutly fake. you rather break up your nails than make deep scratches like this, but it is pretty entertaining, you like watching tv, dont you??

  • Fake as Fuck

  • at 1:50 you can here someone saying "watch your self"

  • I dont know why people still believe this actually happened. I mean the original director and producer say it was a made up movie based on some of Ed Geins actual murders. Gein made a full body suit out of skin not just the face mask, something the director did not want to depict in the movie. It is one of the greastest movies of all time, but do some research and you will find it was a great movie that took some segments out of real murders, but nothing like the movie depicts.

  • @mariano1171

There was actually a bunch of unsolved murders in Texas that the movie was based off of, not counting the Gein stuff. The police dug up a bunch of bodies and they never found the killer(s)/reasons.

  • guys the event was real I have been to Texas before and I saw the house

  • @evilboy1077 Wow, you saw a house that was used in a movie! Doesn't make the events depicted in the movie real dude. I'm sure the people in New Zealand don't say that The Lord of The Rings is based on a true story! ;)

  • @liljohn830 go nz :D hahaha

  • this is a thing made for the film never real

  • @Below

    Fox news Is A LIE

  • U SHOULDNT BELIEVE EVERYTHING U HEAR OR SEE ON TV UNLESS ITS ON THE NEWS BY THE WAY ED GEIN DIDNT EVEN LIVE IN KINGSLAND HE LIVED IN PLAINSVILLE WHY WOULD THEY BASE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE ON ED GEIN AND FILM THE MOVIE IN THE COMPLETE WRONG TOWN IF IT WAS BASED ON ED GEIN THEY WOULD HAVE AT LEAST MADE THE MOVIE AT HIS HOUSE

  • @MrMothafuckajones unless its on the news? i dont believe nothing i see on the news... they want you to believe, what they tell you too... and they start by the news & media..

  • @MrMothafuckajones The only thing that was based on Gein was the cannibalism, the masks and grave robbing. Ed Gein only killed 1 or 2 people.TCM is very very loosely based on a real story

  • beaujakefilms if its fake then the guy doesnt exist so how would u know thats not his real name do u live in texas and did u help them make the movie u dont watch the video someone recorded it says on the sign private property and road keep out or go to jail or worse rest in peace even the guy that made the movie said it was the hewitts residence

  • also why would they make the movie in the hewitts house in texas if it wasnt real thats too much work if it wasnt true they would have just made a fake stage of a scary house in texas and if u watch video of mexico chainsaw massacres u will see that the murders kept goin till 1993 unless some idiot copied him u all are too scared to believe its true why would they have news reports if it was fake

  • u dont know if its true or not unless u actually go there and talk to the people in that city so shut the hell up people do some crazy ass shit especially ensest familys in texas with open fields even if that storys not true im sure some crazy fuck has done that before in the history of man if u think some mental ensest boy from texas isnt capable of killing people with a chainsaw u have no imagination back in the 70's u could get away with alot there r ppl that r deformed behemiths

  • @MrMothafuckajones I'm astonished...

  • @MrMothafuckajones Totally agreed with you.

  • the texas chainsaw massacre isn't true, it was based on a serial killer named ed gein who also was based on the movie physico. there was never a killer who killed people with a chainsaw and wore their faces over theirs.

  • @Itztheking06 That's what I heard, too. Tobe Hooper (who created the movie with the same name) said that the story was made up and based loosely on the serial killings of Ed Gein.

At the beginning of his film, there are words that state the movie was based on a true story, but Hooper just did that for other reasons, not because it was actually true.

  • @alzorama yes ur right.

  • Medio dudoso esta

  • idk if the footage is real or not

  • Idk why everybody compares him to ed gein? dont just go somewhere and copy and paste shit, read around jack asses. There not the same people

  • @StraightSlumpin I agree, this stuff is inspired on the true story!!!

  • Leatherface and the entire TCM franchise was loosely based off of the killings of Ed Gein, a man who killed strangers and used their bodies to decorate his home. The character of Norman Bates in Psycho was also loosely based off of this character. The events of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre claim to be based on true events, but no such story exists. The police walk through and the videos here were fabricated in an attempt to mislead viewers into believing that Thomas Hewitt was a real murderer an

  • TCM was loosely based off of ed gein...

  • this shit crazy and true

  • its fake. the movie was inspired by a killer by the name of Ed Gein. go do some research.....

  • my dad worked at the prison that he died in

  • Wait, now guys! Please don't try and just say it was real if it was fake, but was this seriously real footage, because it looked fake, but the commentary made it look real, and im kinda weirded out, so if someone could please just tell me the truth, that might make my day... but if it is the other way, well idk if it would make my day...

  • @cobojojo That footage was real.

  • @dabigplaya2389 Oh stfu, you could at least told me the truth asshole. I started watching the second one and this was the beginning... My little brother just starts screaming down the hall asking me about this and your wasting our fcking time, you didn't have to scare a 9 year old like that asshole!

  • @cobojojo LMAO chill out buddy. I thought it was real until I watched a few more vid's. P.S.: a 9 yr old has no business on youtube. If that's your son/daughter you are a crappy parent

  • the first guy died because leatherface tackled him onto the stone floor and there r butcher tools on the floor if u watch carfully

  • 0:50 MADMAN :D

  • or did you ppl just come here to talk shit? lol.

  • jesus it's already clear[from the comments] that it's fake so everyone STFU already. anyways, this definitely creeped me out. i had to look it up when this movie came out. texas chainsaw massacre and the first one is by far on the top of my favorite horror movies. the director did a great job. BRAVO

  • Can someone tell me how the fuck I ended up in this part of YouTube?

  • I saw the last pictures in one of the latest Texas Chainsaw Massacre's.

Its so scary cuz its true 0_0

  • that camera effect is so creepy man

  • this is real

  • everybody i know ed gein didnt do that stuff im just saying this was based on him

  • All this proves is that Michael Bay needs to die in a fire...

  • ok here are my questions how did the first cop die i mean he just screamed the fell then just laid there i dont get it.

  • His name was Ed Gein and he lived in Plainfield Wisconsin. Get your stories straight before you go flaunting your cheap crappy info that you edited feom the 2003 texas chainsaw massacre movie.

  • this isn't even true. Don't believe this crap. It was used for a movie. His name wasn't even Thomas Hewitt.

  • @beaujakefilms Ed Gein

  • This is fake. Ed Gein lived in Wisconsin and never visited Texas before. He only killed -some- women and used -some- of their body parts for furniture and clothing. Even so, he did -not- use a chain saw to murder them. He -died- in Wisconsin at a mental institution from -natural causes.- The movies weren't BASED on a true story, they were inspired by it and thus used their imaginations to add in a whole bunch of cheapness into it.~

  • I hear that you can call the Texas PD and get files from when it happened. I think my grandma told me that

  • @ktron70 i read it its scary

  • Mad Magizine ftw

  • 2:20 - DINOSAUR!!!!!

  • Although it was marketed as a true story to attract a wider audience and as a subtle commentary on the era's political climate, its plot is entirely fictional; however the character of Leatherface and minor plot details were inspired by the crimes of real-life murderer Ed Gein.

  • Lmao y'all dumb af! This is no such thing as "Leatherface" that's hollywood getting to y'all...the real man who did similar crimes (who did not use a chainsaw) his name is Ed Gein and he lived in Wisconsin lol smh do your research

  • TEXAS yaaaaaaaaaa

  • @TheOriginalBadMofo

wasnt tat suppose 2 be house of 1000 corpse or is that something else

and if the case is still open today then we should already find Thomas Hewitt or Ed Gein or Texas Chainsaw Massacre already with the technology we have today..

  • @thosekidsactdum read a book
