@TheNehas I think it's about someone who places great value in really unimportant and/or superficial things. The narrator is pointing out that they're just getting by because they're clinging to a cycle of trivial or unimportant truths, and by doing that their lives are shallow and empty. Like the line says, "Who cares in a hundred years from now?" which basically says, "Nobody's going to remember who you are in a hundred years because you never did anything that has any meaning."
