It just acured to me why punk is so cool. Fans jump on stage, sometimes sing into the mike with the singer and then jump off the stage. Here if a fan simply gets on stage to praise the band he is jumped and probably beaten and thrown out of the concert, while the band complains about how he knocked over their mike. Thank god for punk and how it gave the middle finger to these rich rock star, assholes.

@Flipper79able err, punk was actually one of the forerunners of thrash, if ur talking abt actual punk rockers like the sex pistols and the clash and not bubblegum wannabe pop-punk thats 'in' these days, along with NWOBHM and one of the great things abt thrash is that it takes the musical elements ofhe 70's to 80's metal movements and combines them withthe rapid tempos and attitude ofpunk, so its not exactly punk u shud be talkin bout. inthat way, grunge had much more of an fu 2 rock stars effect
