I just hope that they will include the Prince's tale in the film (part 2) it was one of the most emotional parts of the book!!! I am still angry about the 5th and 6th film, in the 5th they completely screwed Sirius's death and there was not nearly enough emotion and in the 6th they left out so many parts---they could have easily added at least 1 more memory, they could have made the scene were Harry says he can't be with Ginny anymore, Greyback did not have any introduction and whatsover

He didn't know that he was sending Voldemort after Lily and James and he asks Voldemort to spare Lily. He then changes side to get rid of Voldemort ONLY because that dude killed the love of his life.

The fact that James (who Lily had always seemed to hate) had gotten Lily doesn't help his hate for Harry any less. He also sees Harry as the reason Voldemort killed Lily. But he must protect him because of the life debt and he's a part of Lily. Its all because of Lily.

Snape protects Harry both because he is Lily's son and because of the life debt to James. James saved Snape when Sirius decided to play a prank that almost got Snape and James killed by Remus as Moony which would have also gotten Remus killed by the Ministry.

Snape does hate Harry because of his father but he loves Lily because she was his first and only friend. When Lily stopped being friends with him I think that ultimately lead to him being a death eater.

Any animosity shown to Harry by Snape is only because Harry resembles his Father so much that Snape is confused. Because Potter bullied him all his years at high school Snape hates Potter (and also because Potter managed to get the love of Snapes life) and since Harry looks like Potter Snape dislikes him too but Snape realises Harry nature wise is like his mother and Harrys eyes are also like his mothers which Snape has also noticed.

Severus Snape does try to save Harry Potter. He tries to save Harry in the first book when Harry is about to fall off his broom. He tries to save Harry from Sirius when he thinks Sirius is dangerous (even though he also wants revenge there). He helps come to Harry's aid when Harry Disovers Mad Eye isn't the realy Mad Eye in Goblet of Fire. He helps Harry against Dolores Umbridge and he helps Harry in the final Book in multiple ways.

No, that was not the case. Through that particular conversation, Dumbledore asked Severus if he had developed an affection for the boy, and Severus angrily denied it saying it was all for her (Lily). It was always Lily.
