I've watched WWLTV when I was back in New Orleans, but let me ask something. How in the hell was WWLTV on and people watching when the only thing I was able to get during the Hurricane was a radio station? I would have loved it if we knew.
Their coverage was extended through the entire state of Louisiana and Mississippi. FYI. All the stations in New Orleans have "sister" stations, WAFB is WWL's sister station and that is in Baton Rouge.
Everytime I go home, one of the things I HAVE to do is watch WWL news. I have to eat at Deanie's on the Lake and I have to watch WWL before I leave. I never realized I'd miss their news so much. I miss Eric P the most. I'm sure I can watch online somewhere but it's probably not the same as watching at home.
Bad food?!?!? Are you crazy? Have you been away so long you forgot about, fried shimp, oyster po-boys, boiled crawfish and crabs, red beans and rice, sloppy roast beef po-boys, beignets, coffee and chicory, french bread, Abita beer?
You can't put down the food. It's the best in the world. Those are about the only things that keep me here.
i will never in my lifetime forget this scenario.i remember the warnings and at the 11th hour decided to run just in case . i thought i'd be gone 3 days,i wasn't allowed back in for 3 weeks. i just bought and paid off my first home 12 days prior, and came back to a mess where there had been about 21 in of sewerage. my house is still gutted at present. i still live in it. i choose to see it as an experimental lifestyle.

I agree with you except...
