I go to the beach every summer mainly because we have a beach house. but I am terrified of beaches. I only go so far in.. like to my knees. i don't like going in to where I'm going under. We have wave runners & boats- but I hate the waverunners mainly because we were taking the waverunners out and while doing the donuts or whatever in the water [playing around] I was thrown off and right before that my boyfriend kiddingly said was that a shark over there. Chances of getting bit is so tiny and chances of it being fatal is even smaller, only 1 in 8 end in death so don't think about it. Just have fun and swim between the flags and you will be alright.

Often times the shark just mistakes us for an injured fish or sea animal. In other words, easy prey. We aren't exactly the most graceful swimmers, so it's simple to see where a mistake could be made.

I go to the beach every summer mainly because we have a beach house. but I am terrified of beaches. I only go so far in.. like to my knees. i don't like going in to where I'm going under. We have wave runners & boats- but I hate the waverunners mainly because we were taking the waverunners out and while doing the donuts or whatever in the water [playing around] I was thrown off and right before that my boyfriend kiddingly said was that a shark over there. Every since I've been scared..

I love sharks, nothing would stop me from swimming in the ocean. It's all about being smart about where/when you swim and respecting your surroundings.

This video is stupid, you are pretty much trying to scare people from going to the beach.
I love the beach and go everyday and not once have i been scared from sharks even here on the gold coast with many sharks spotted they are being attracted by small fish not to eat humans.
Chances of getting bit is so tiny and chances of it being fatal is even smaller, only 1 in 8 end in death so don't think about it. Just have fun and swim between the flags and you will be alright.

You DO realise that we kill about 500 sharks or more a year, and sharks only kill about 5 a year??? Sharks are doing whats natural to them, and we STILL get killed less. While we kill them for our own wants. poor sharks :(

sharks might be scary, but the truth is that the number of people who die from shark attacks is less than the number of people who die from coconuts falling on their heads. if you need something to be scared of look no further than cars!

@TheOvitsky But the way I look at something like bring attacked by a short compared to a coconut hitting my head is you can live from a coconut hitting use, not much chance you will from a shark attack same with driving compared to flying ya waaaay more car crashes but people get out with minor injuries lots of the time, you crash a plane.. you die.

Quick note, not to scare you, but sharks can still get u there o.o Still rare, but dont believe you are 100% safe. REALLY bad mistake for most o.o Like nurse sharks and black tipped reef sharks, just trying to remind u that you arent ALWAYS safe there, but you are a lot safer overall, good plan ^_^

Often times the shark just mistakes us for an injured fish or sea animal. In other words, easy prey. We aren't exactly the most graceful swimmers, so it's simple to see where a mistake could be made.

Sharks don't like human meat - they like blubber. So unless you are 300 pounds you should not worry about them stalking you:] That's why most shark attacks on humans are survived - because sharks will usually leave you alone after they find out how crunchy you are :]

Sharks will harm you if they need to, if they misunderstood you for food, or if they smell blood.
Basically its just like humans in a very confusing state, take your place in fight, if someone tries to rape or hit you, you'd actualy defend yourself by inflicting damage trying to get away. 2nd thing if some hits you from behind you'd hit the first one you see without asking too. So common! Were as dumb as they are!!! Ahahaha! :))

Sharks are really misunderstood creatures. Much like wolves were way back when. People swim with sharks and remain unharmed. Usualy they are only drawn to the smell of food and blood. People who don't wait an hour after eating before going into the water? Food for ANYTHING XP
Bears and wolves are much the same, they do not attack unless starving, scared, injured, provoked, have cubs near by.
