  • 1:29 LOL. I love this. :]

  • pukka

  • Officer's club music in Red Tails :P

  • those guys are just staring at patty maxine laverne's hot fannies lol

  • Love this song and is it weird I listen to is while playing space invaders

  • Awesome beyond words.

  • What can I say? They don't make them like this anymore...

  • My sister and I love them so much that we ask our Aunt to sew us a uniform just like them so we could sing and dance like them :)

  • wow ! Those chick look pretty good on those uniforms. Better than the whore of todays day

  • Back when talent existed

  • This is more fun than anything in 2012!!

  • its sad how songs make people wanna dress and dance and act like sluts and whores so sad!

  • @twilightlover10115 Shame you love that drivel called Twilight.

  • this is my kinda music

  • #605

  • I am in my 30s but I think Patty Andrews was HOT, she kind of reminds me of Tricia Helfer.

  • I just watched this video for the 82nd time easy - it's still as sharp and crisp as it was back in WWII. The world was better I think back then.

  • @neonvincent1 No offence, but how could the world be generally better in the second world war?, millions of people died.

But I agree with you, the music was better back then :)

  • @kingofpointless I'd have to agree with what Neonvincent1 is sayin'. Life had an honest goodness to it back then. And you can't define the "goodness" of an age by war, no matter how large. War is never absent.

  • Ahh, its so fun to watch. They're sooo cool :)

  • Its so sad how today when you see an "artists" music video they are half naked and dancing inappropriately. I am thirteen years old and i wish i could dance like they do.

  • @tamzora15 I am exactly the same age and completely agree

  • Dang Phil, its only been a year since i seen you go from 500,000 over 1,000,000 views. Best wishes

  • Now This is music

  • 1.20 - 1.32 that's what a really COOL girl looks like! she had to be like really great person! =)

  • Christina's Candyman came from this huh?

  • Try playing candy man christina Aguilera and this song together apparently it sound like it

  • The 44 who disliked this video are deaf.

  • the haters that hate you cant hate this song it was for the army before they left to go fight

  • Nice tits...and voices too.

  • The Andrew Sisters. <3 Nuff said.

  • I love this song ! And there are only 4 shots in the clip, impossible to see this today lol. Seriously that's a good song !

  • Great video! I had never seen the Andrews Sisters before...According to Wikipedia, they have sold over 75 Million records!!!!Wowwwwww!!!!!

  • I am a similar age, I am 13, and I prefer this music. Why is it that music like this and earlier beats modern music? Because it is actually music maybe? Anyway my theory is if so many people of our generation like this music so much, then perhaps in the future, we may start to make this type of music once more.

  • @ILOVETHE1700s Back then, musicians didn't rely on sythesizers and computers to make music! They use thier own God givened skills! As a result, the music back then didn't sound artifical like most of todays junk!

It's like the late Beatle George Harrison once quoted say "technology depended artist have taken the meat out of music and it lost a lot of human fill"!

  • Ahh I love it

  • 1:30 ahahahahahah

  • I love the woman in the middle!

  • The ladies of this era had REAL class!!

  • Hahahahahaha i love it...I im quite sure i heared a song with them in Fallout 3.. Good times indeed

  • Im 15, and in my high schools top jazz ensemble. my group performed this song (along with others) for our wartime themed concert. it is my favorite song we played, people danced and had a good time and i really enjoyed my solo in it, and i hope this kind of music never dies, i want everyone to experience this wonderful piece of art

  • Wow!! congrats americans, history made music..

  • I LOVE THIS &^*$#

  • That guy may be miming blowing on a single note bugle, but those notes are from a jazz trumpet.

  • Then, Roy Orbison was playing ''Oh Pretty Woman'' Now, Pittbull sings Sexy Bitch, this world is going down.

  • Yeah so what about your age-_-

  • So which girl is Laverne, Patty, & Maxene?

  • I'm 14 and I love this music...I think I was born in the wrong era lol

  • This video is Christina Aguilera's music inspiration and visual emulation as shown in her Candy Man video

  • It's really sad how today's music is only teaching people how to dance like sluts and that it's okay to be a whore. I'm 17, and I'd rather listen to stuff like this any day.

  • @THEVoldesquid I'm 17 too and I coulden't agree more :)

  • @THEVoldesquid So True ;]

  • @THEVoldesquid And Learn Different Kinds Of Smoking And Drugs ;]

  • @THEVoldesquid I'm 17 too, turning 18 on the 19th in a few days and I agree completely with *everything* you have said; I love this music SO much more than music these days. There's just no class and people just sell themselves so it seems to get attention, no real talent ya know? Good to know there's some hope left. =)

  • @KaTieZCrAZyCasTZ If this music is so much better than modern music, they will probably start to make it again. I am quite good at the piano and I certainly will!

  • @ILOVETHE1700s Swing dancing is starting to come back, at least where I'm from and then there's that movie called the Artist which is coming out in theaters soon if not alrady (based in the 1920's) so i think it's starting too. Keep it up, I'm sure many will listen and catch on! =)

  • @KaTieZCrAZyCasTZ Thanks!

  • @THEVoldesquid Right on! Im 14 and this is my kind of music.

  • @THEVoldesquid I'm 17 too and i agree. The majority of people now adays are so untalented and are too skanish. Where did the good old days of when class was sexy go?

  • Nothing beats 40's-60's music. It's so catchy.

This video reminds me how good those old recordings were; large parts of it done in one single take with practically no editing and zero effects. Makes me appreciate the classic movie styles.

  • thays was when coke was cokecola a screw was something you hold wood together

  • and they did it all without autotune...

  • Não existe Puppini Sisters que substitua! *-*

  • amazing

  • i really wish i could have seen the act which followed the andrews sisters... a large pail....?

  • @miakovalsky You can see the whole movie for free on YouTube. Just search by wrting Buck Privates. It's in 14 parts. (The next scene is a prize fighting scene, I think.)

  • @miakovalsky The large pail might contain your dirty diaper after you were frightened at the Hannah Montana concert.

Keep your mouth shut about things you know nothing about. Just a piece of advice.

  • @sheckyrulz67 well that's got to be the most unique response....?

  • @miakovalsky It was Bett Midler that made it a hit again.

  • 42 dislike need to get a life.....what with the rubbish of today....their is no comparison for talent these days.

  • im singin this song in my schools chorus

  • I like feeling special

  • Anyone appreciating music outside of their era is to encouraged, not put down. Bagging on a 14 year old is pretty low.

The Andrew Sisters still are stars. True talent lasts.

  • Does anyone really care how old anyone is?

It's music, there is not time peroid that was objectivly better than another

Please stop trying to feel special.

  • It's brilliant!

  • The one in the middle was gettin' it in? Did you hear her at 1:29? Woo!

  • I personally don't think the music from the 21st centuary sucks, well, at least not all of it. Theirs still some good bands out there, like Safety Suit.

But I'm singing stuff in chorus from the 40's, so I thought I'd check it out here lol

  • i played this song in jazz band!!! i played tenor sax!!

  • Thank you so much for this! I've lost track of how many times I've watched it- and smiled every time! Thanks again.

  • Fantastic Harmonies,

  • The Andrew Sisters were the best. How I miss them today.

  • And to this day Americans are still considered the "coolest" people on earth!

  • A real class act.

  • one of my fave songs, ever!!!!!!

  • I've watched this several times. Each time I do it makes me smile

  • Oh man I ADORE the Andrews Sisters, they really were the greatest

  • Im 12 and Looooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeee Them sooooooo much. The music today is pointless or mean and this music is Amazing!

  • respect!

  • I love how they walk up kind of hiding in their shoulders and look super uncomfortable...then they open their mouths and surprise! They're beyond brilliant. When the soloist starts she has charisma FLYING out of every pore...best part was 1:29...no one else could pull off that noise and make it sound amazing :)

  • People don't sound like that anymore, amazing :)

  • The thing that impresses me is that their voices are so similar you can't tell which woman is singing which part. They have a beautiful blend.

  • They're the real deal

  • Tarzan and Jane were swinging on a vine!

    Candyman, candyman...

  • Shemp Howard is in this movie. I wonder if his brother Moe knew that Shemp was moonlighting in a Abbott and Costello film ha.

  • @cinerama62 He may have been in this Before Rejoining the Three Stooge when Curly died

  • i heard this in DINOSAURS!

  • @TimeForFunGuy Haha so did I

  • @cellosareawesome

    yup, I love DINOSAURS.

it was in the episode NUTS TO WAR, Part 2. Earl, Roy, and Charlene show off talent as USO girls.

  • wow they had rhythm good ol classic even tho its ol and way older than me i just cant get enough of thoses sistrs

  • I'm 14 and I love this ! The music of the 21 century SUCKS !

  • @Yukenda 12 And i feel in love with it :)

  • @Yukenda Amen!and im 12XD

  • I love the Andrews Sisters! Much, much better music than alot of the stuff today.

  • Who would've thought I'd become a fan of this because of Christina Aguilara? In any case, I am a diehard fan of this kinda stuff now.

  • I all ways wanted to live back in thoues days the simplisedy the good way of old amarican laber and good artist lick the andrews sisters.

  • @Ben36029X I'd like to lick the Andrews sisters too

  • If only timed stopped right after WWII....

  • back when life was as simple as the dance moves...

  • ...Way back when ladies entertained with class....oh how life has changed :(

  • 16 hundred thousand views only revealing calves, hands and face.. only proves you dont have to lose your dignity to make it

  • 41 pea brains don't like REAL music...

  • Im 11 and music today sucks I get laughed at all the time at school to listen to music that comes from the 1930s-1980s. Bunch of kids dont know what their missing great music. I think new music is just bad for the next generation of america.

  • @RickMakesGoodVideos Most of the new stuff aint music at all! The stuff the Andrew Sisters made had harmony and melody in it and not just a beat!

  • O' my goodness these girls were friends ours!! we had such fun in Chicaco, and in the mid west !! gosh they were so swell back then and we had so much fun!! We danced to the beat of the coolest bands!!...and the guys were so romantic!! i married one!!..

  • and it's all done without auto-tune!! i've loved the andrew sisters for decades!!

  • Anyone know the name of the actor who is playing the bugler at the beginning of this clip? He's great...as are the sisters (of course).

  • Comment removed

  • This is good, classic music. *****

Not that stupid Justin Bieber or Lady Gaga crap. >=X

  • and then the puppini sisters come in

  • I accidentaly pushed a button on a music demo kiosk when I worked at shopko and this song came up. It was a eye opener and everytime I walked past it Pushed the button just to hear it.

  • Seeing as this movie was released in 1941, I wonder if those were actual servicemen?

  • @leopoldmarsh Someone told me that the soldier sitting down, that Patty goes over to sing to, directly, was her father, and he was 4-F. :-) I don't know about the others.

    Philip

  • good question i all was wondered about

  • @leopoldmarsh - they probably wouldn't hire actual soldiers to play in a movie, especially considering the year, with WWII and all...

    Don't know for sure, though

  • @eleshar83 Pearl Harbor wasn't attacked until Dec. 7, 1941. The movie had been shot by then. There may be a few authentic extras.

  • Just think...I have to grow up with lil wayne..imagine what our kids are going to grow up with O_O

  • @ForeverOldiesO1 Oh dear, GOD. 0_0'

  • Beyonce my ass! this is where it's at man!

  • I don't think the music of that age has ever really gone out of style. Anytime the younger generation hears it they love it. (Think Glenn Miller and "In the Mood.") The Andrews Sister had it all--rhythm, sound, and just CLASS. Just proves you don't have to show skin if you have real talent. Actually you don't need to show skin, anyway. Clean up your act all you performers, and we will love you more!

  • You didn't need to show skin, ass or your chocha in those days to be sexy. Bring those days and all of its' class back please!!!!!!!

  • Theses Sisters got Soul. Old School USA. Thanks for posting!

  • These girls don't seem to realize that they're cool.

  • Buck Privates is my favorite A&C movie. Great comedy AND music.

  • I was originally just going to use this for part of my history project, but I have unexpectedly fallen in love with this song!

  • Thumbs up if you came here from COMMUNITY!!!

  • i used to listen to the andrews sisters alllll the time growing up :) and i watched all the movies they were in :)

  • -.-" alot of noobs only know them from fallout :/

  • I want to hear this in Fallout 3 radio.

  • If only we had music like this today

  • Now this is when people had talent.

  • my grandfolks played this,as most people will tell, but I will let my children listen to it one day.

It sounds strange but I had a fantasy that I would sing as a women, just for experiencing the voice, she would be the one that would be awesome.

  • I like Steve Rogers aka Captain America

  • those are some classy broads i bet the boys went wild

  • The 40's and 50's were so amazing

  • patty is hot!

  • The more i look at and listen to old music and films the more I realize that non of it is "square".

I'd like to see all the old styles return!

  • Christina Aguilera brought me here.

  • I'm 21, and love this, much better than the music of my generation

  • @LeahWalentosky I am with you there!

  • @LeahWalentosky haha too cool!! Nice to see someone who has quality

  • @LeahWalentosky Your not the only one :)

    im 14

  • @LeahWalentosky I hope you know that not every song from this era was great as this song.

  • @utoobuser101

    Most were.

  • @LeahWalentosky thank you i have been telling everyone that

  • @LeahWalentosky I'm 16 and music changes from generation so you shouldn't expect the same thing each decade. That would be boring.

  • i really love this song and i have 20 years =P

  • the andrew sister's voices are instruments

  • Thank you for posting this :) I love listening to The Andrews Sisters. And I love watching "Buck Privates" with Abbott and Costello (sp). It's hilarious! (sp)

  • makes me laughh when she sings "ha-ha-hand, the company jumps when he plays revellie" :))

  • Land of the lost!!!

  • Americans used to be so cool!

  • @PoutinePete now were ghetto

  • @PoutinePete Because back then, having rights meant having privileges, not entitlements.

  • @PoutinePete racist*

  • @SagradaMascarita How can that be racism? American is not a race.

  • @TCfoxs lol i'm not calling the guy racist that asterisk at the end of the word mean to replace a word like cool for racist :)

  • @SagradaMascarita oh, I misunderstood you. :)

  • @PoutinePete 21st century happened.

  • @PoutinePete We suck now :(

  • MAFIA 2 :D

  • that move at 2:03...so hot...

  • Leonard Rossiter, plus Morecambe and Wise did a nice spoof of this.

  • did he just "jerk" at 0:09??

  • @MsCrunktastic
