  • This looks really good! Just one thing you need to think about: Changing sub-menu takes several seconds. This will annoy players. Two ways to speed it up: first, move the menu items faster when you click something. But more important - make the new menu items move up at the same time as the previous menu items move down (make them appear behind the others and move forward when it's clear)

  • set particles to work in local space, not the world space, to get rid of particles glitch you mentioned

  • It could be great if you hide all the 3D text when the menu go into the water, and show it again when it comes back. I know that the 3dtext is a strange object :)

  • @diegorborges i added annotation with link to similar tutorial you can look up if you like my video, i did i hard code made all my self in tutorial you will see a simple version and a bit easier to make.

  • @trex1547 sure not hard at all just make some room make platforms put pre-made character on platforms make like light in back of char and make script that checks if mouse hovers over char or platform and light up that char and check if mouse click on it advance further like in level or customization.

  • @trex1547 just look at unity help there is scripting help section where u can find all commands you need and use them to write a script just know what u want to do look up at help and write it down stack em up and look if everything working.

  • Nice menu but seems to take too long switching between menu's. Like from Main Menu, to options and back. Personally I think it should be a quicker transition. But very cool work.

  • i used box collider and function for particles OnMouseEnter() and OnMouseDown() to activate menu movement.

  • are you using animation for blocks while you are accessing OnMouseEnter() function?

  • I think to improve the menu the words should slowly fade away so by the time the bottom of the menu goes into the water the words are already gone and when the next menu comes it the words should fade into view when the menu stops moving

  • @Pigot98 water has 3 modes, reflective (reflects all and shows under water), refractive(reflects but don't show under water) and simple(no reflection and no see thru).

  • @Beady2 i dont have those i only have simple, i suppose those come in Unity Pro? But the odd thing is that i have the refractive one in the island demo

  • @motbest  well yes those are standard 6 blocks made in unity water in unity assets to, skybox,particles, direct light, text with custom font those are simple 5-10min work all hard work toked in coding :)
