This song brings back so many memories for me. I listened to it last night for the first time in a few years. Such a beautiful song. Thank you for posting.
This song and this album connect us in ways that are truly awesome, in the archaic sense of the word. The Muse, through the artist, a gift for us. Gorgeous slide guitar.
Que buena canciòn....George aprendiò mucho de paul y john....creciò mucho como compositor y en verdad sus temas son los màs que recuerdan el sonido de los beatles....
Everything Flghtwolf states is a lie. He is NOT an attorney, as he never even attended undergrad. He has NO legal expertise whatsoever. You are right; it was none other than former Beatle manager Allen Klein who sued Harrison to make monies off of My Sweet Lord. Note how Flghtwolf covers up his "hero" John Lennon's paying off Chuck Berry for stealing Come Together (i.e., Berry's You Can't Catch Me). Flghtwolf is a musical illiterate, as I have proven on thread after thread.
@truthinlifeful1 - You forget this went through the filter of trial where he LOST. To save face, much of this affair was framed "unintentional plagiarism" as if such a legal designation exists. It does not. Two of his friends, compelled to testify under oath, said that George so admired this tune, that he had intentions of doing a "cover" of it back in 1968. Even John said "if he had brought me the tune like I told him, nobody could touch him". George took his chances and lost.
@FrlghtWolf what you said......john said if he brought the tune to him (john), nobody could touch him.....what exactly did that mean......did it mean john would have suggested changes in the tune that would have altered it enough to keep him out of trouble?
@truthinlifeful1 - You confuse DAMAGE CONTROL for wisdom. He basically did what he should have done in the first place: paid royalties or bought the tune outright. Let me ask you something: would it matter if George was lying all along and KNEW he was plagiarizing? Just want to know what kind of person I'm talking to. Thanks!
You need "DAMAGE CONTROL," as you've proven yourself an uneducated, musically illiterate, unhinged Harrison-hating troll. You know rien about music, as your laughable musical malapropisms prove. You know nothing about literature, as your howling errors on the basic plot lines and allegorical meanings of well-known classics demonstrate. You know nothing about composition, as your mixed metaphors and ham-fisted vulgarity confirms.
@truthinlifeful1 - George Harrison was convicted in 1971 of plagiarizing the Chiffon's 1964 hit "He's So Fine" to make his "My Sweet Lord". Bright Tunes leveled the charges against the former Beatle because the song was so similar. The judge agreed!
Poor George! Like Barry Bonds, George will go down in history with that one frustrating asterisk by his name. Much like the steroid king, George found the need to cheat in order to get a "HIT". BARRY used steroids. George used PLAGIARISM.
@FrlghtWolf ___It wasn't just George.....a less publicized case but involved a lot of money was John Lennons "Come Together" and a Chuck Berry' tune (can't remember the name). He ended up settling and one way or another had to pay up.
@inkey2 - John Lennon and Chuck Berry never went to court. Keep in mind, Chuck Berry would sue a turkey sandwich if it even remotely sounded like it was singing one of his songs. John Lennon did something rather before it's time. Instead of getting all angry and stupid like George Harrison, John stroked Chuck's ego and invited him to perform with him. They became great friends (if anyone COULD befriend such an awful man as Chuck Berry) and John paid nothing.
@FrlghtWolf it was actually settled out of court. Lennon had to record about 3 songs on his "Rock & Roll" album from that publisher......i don't know if Chuck even still owns the rights to his songs. Most early rockers got totally screwd by signing their rights away (or a large portion of them) to get a recording contract . So it did cost lennon money because the 3 songs recorded he had to pay for the rights and probably turn over a percentage of the album profit as settlement
@inkey2 - Damn! I hate it when I run into people who actually KNOW what they're talking about. Fuck head! Still, you gotta admit...there's just something about George Harrison which reminds me of the nerdy high school retard who just gets EVERYTHING wrong.
Of course you hate " people who actually KNOW what they're talking about," as they point out what a laughably uneducated rube you are. Let's look at some examples:
1) You didn't know the difference between a power chord (root and the fifth) and an eleventh chord (eleven major scale points from the root).
2) You didn't know the difference between 12/8 and 4/4 time.
3) You thought Moby Dick "triumphed" over Ahab (WOW. That's a howler!).
Given that Flghtwolf is a proven liar, try making the little lying chicken squawk for fun by demanding he respond to the following:
1) "Flghtwolf, why do you troll eight days a week (heh!) under the pseudonyms thegrinchl7,CubanCheGuevara,TwoUselesslegs, etc., trying to fool people into believing that others share your views?"
2) "Flghtwolf, given that you don't know the difference between a power chord and a G7sus4, why do you pose as musically knowledgeable?
Little lyin' Chicken, how you squawk to save the bird feed of your tarnished hero Lennon. John, a genius to be certain, did STEAL Come Together. And he did PAY an undisclosed sum via a legal agreement that included Lennon recording Berry's Can't Catch Me on the Rock-n-Roll album in the mid 1970s.
You're a laughable liar, Flghtwolf. Care to tell inkey2 how you troll under the names "thegrinchl7," "CubanCheGuevara," "TwoUselessLegs," etc.?
The only "turkey sandwich" around here is you. Actually, you are a CHICKEN sandwich. You never could take the truth of GIMME-SOME-TRUTH Lennon's musical, moral, and career issues, or how Harrison's guitar playing and musical abilities helped save Lennon's efforts. Everybody's Got Something to Hide, Norwegian Wood, She Said, How Do You Sleep, the list goes on and on.
But then, the list of your lies, calumnies, and laughable gaffs goes on and on as well.
Or should I say, "thegrinch17," "CubanCheGuevara," "TwoUselessLegs," or whichever of your dimwitted pseudonyms you attempt to hide behind these days? This is where you go Roddy McDowall shite and charge that I'm invalid and "Blankfrack." HAHAHAHA!! But we know that given your familiarity with getting your derrière kicked by my swinging booted foot, all you've got is your tedious twaddle. "Cippled inside," you are, Flightwolf, and very stupid to boot. Fuckwit.
@MrAngemystere - I love your action figure "Star Trek Klingon Doll" review on Ebay. Your praise of Corey Hiam in some horror movie involving a paraplegic was also a delightful read. A cripple reviewing the performance of a cripple always leaves me on tenderhooks. Which begs the question: just how is it you hope to "kick" my derriere if your legs don't work?
OSTIASSSSS, ESTA CANCION NO LA HABIA ESCUCHADO JAMÀS Y ES BUENISIMA, COMO EL. SEGURO QUE ESTA JUNTO A LOS ANGELES CANTANDOLES Y ELLOS ALUCINANDO EN COLORES.FUE MAGIA PURA.GEORGE TE QUIERO Y TE QUERRE SIEMPRE
first time i'm hearing this,i must buy some george's solo albums. The most spiritual and peacefull beatles,i find more peace in his songs than in John's.John's have more intense.Paul John and George at one band how is this possible.3 talented men,we will not have a band like the beatles again
@MyDreamside Yes, you do need to buy some george solo albums! Obviously, All Things Must Pass is the one to start with. I also like 33 1/3 and Living in the Material World quite a lot. Brainwashed is wonderful, but I only half-count it, since Jeff Lynne and Dhani finished it after George died. Then there are some beautiful tracks on Somewhere in England (Your Love is Forever is one example). George's music is beautiful and deeply philosophical ... but it can also be hilarious (ex This Song).
@ozmonster2000 The same way Paul and John and Ringo had their successes down to John, Paul, George, and Ringo. None of them would be 5% as popular as they are now if not for the Beatles.
@ozmonster20- When I was your age, we dreamed of playing like Clapton, Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Nobody...and I mean NOBODY ever thought of George Harrison. He just wasn't that kind of guy. He was more of a studio musician. Of course he can PLAY the guitar, but he is not a master of the guitar. He was surrounded by John, Paul and George Martin. Their production assets were SO HIGH that not even George couldn't hurt the Beatles. In another time and place any one of us could have replaced him
@gsjbaldwin - Ugh! You are kidding, aren't you? John Lennon was a "LOSS". George Harrison's death was like my next door neighbor. Mr. Mason was like this OLD guy...you know...like 40 or something and well, he just fell over one day mowing the lawn. Us kids were like "whoa! check it out!" We like went over and just looked at him for a half hour. He had like, this spit coming out of his mouth. Ewww! Lex starts poking his face. When George Harrison died, he was like Mr. Mason. You know, WHO CARES!
@FrlghtWolf .. I cared. He had more soul and personality than you posses in your little finger. If you don't enjoy his music then go away. Don't listen. You don't deserve to hear his beautiful words or soulful voice.
@FrlghtWolf .. I cared. He had more soul and personality than you posses in your little finger. If you don't enjoy his music then go away. Don't listen. You don't deserve to hear his beautiful words or soulful voice.
@fairygirl79 Well said! Unfortunately he won't go away. He's been trolling George's videos for years now and it's the only thing that brings any joy to his pathetic life. I feel sorry for him.
Sure, just like how Olivia married him to get a US Green Card, how Paul McCartney wrote Something, how John Lennon had no hypocrisies, HandMade Studios no successes, George no skill at guitar, his songs no melody, how his wife couldn't speak English on their first date (she finished high school in California), how you both hate him and don't care for him, etc.
@nafaidni - Are you a female of the opposite gender? You sound like a woman. Do you know what I mean? You have the whiny thing going. The constant nagging....the need for attention. Of course I don't like George Harrison! He was a mediocre musician masquerading as a spiritual hippie. He made himself a hypocrite of the WORST kind!
Funny, I thought you said you didn't care for him. And then of course, you said you hated him deeply. But then again, this was your other account that said it... you said it was of your accounts. Then again, you also said it wasn't...
Lolololol, this is the guy who goes around calling George a hypocrite, lmfao!!! Could we have a better spokesman for the George Harrison haters!? A multi-persona disorder kid who sounds like he has (+ does have) black cock perpetually up his ass?
I mean, really, couldn't we have anyone worth listening to critiquing him? Like, I dunno, the other Beatles who seem to like him more than John? And even John himself, by not inviting him to work on Imagine with him? Or maybe all the musicians that attended his memorial concert? Or even Justin Bieber, for God's sake!
But no, all we have... is this.
I suppose God designed it this way. The most abysmal of communities have the most abysmal of representatives.
@bibi5027 Exactly right. Again, frightwolf/thegrinch17 has no idea! If he knew as much about George as he claims he does, then he'd know that george just loved making music. In his own words, "Loves being in a band." That was what it was about to him. Although, he appreciated the good-fortune that came with it, unlike John and Paul, didn't seek stardom, adoration and all the other trappings that came with it. He admired them, although he didn't want to BE like them!
@sharkeysmum - There's what George SAID...and then...there's what George REALLY FELT. Frankly, you can pretty much disregard most of what came out of his mouth. Just watch what he DOES. George is one unhappy camper. George did not "appreciate" his good fortune! He spent the rest of his life taking swipes at the Beatles every chance he got! THAT'S WHY I HATE THE FUCKER! That and the fact he couldn't WRITE MUSIC, LYRICS, PLAY GUITAR OR SING VERY WELL. You may go now, housewife!
@thegrinchl7 Yeah, what.ever.you.say. You are the expert on George and you knew what he thought and felt. You win. I'm wrong. You're right. I'll go now. Oh, but before I do, I'm not a housewife, I work. What's that you ask?? It's when you go out and and earn a living. Not that you'd know about that, since the closest thing you've ever had for a job is a full-time internet troll. Shame it doesn't pay, because you'd be a millionaire by now.
Empty faces,is that what you left George?I dont see too many happy people in this world. And through it all you stuck it out like me.We have no control of the day we die.Is that why people are sad?Can we ever get over this?Is there ever gonna be anything better . Dear Lord help a dying people
Hi, can somebody help me? I'm 12 years old and I'm doing a report on the Beeltes. I know all about John Lennon (the leader) and the other genius (Paul McCarty) and that "Ringo" guy....but WHO is George Harristone? I can't find any information about this guy? Was he in the band? I heard he playger-iced....plajerize....plage...pladuriced....Oh, dang! I heard he STOLE music from poor black groups? That doesn't sound very nice. Can somebodys help me?
@FrlghtWolf During the day of the Beatles none of the four of them stole any music, they did something which was and still is incredibly popular called "covering songs". They didn't stole, they borrowed. The Beatles were the first ones to include on their album sleeves who the songs they covered were originally by.
Either you have no brain cells, or you're trolling.
@Ecclipze - I'm 12 years old. Why is everyone so mean here? They act like this George Harrison guy. You know, that guy who STEALS music from other people!
A: You're a fucktard. I could type better than you at the age of nine.
B: John Lennon wans't the leader. Paul wrote the majority of songs and the most popular ones.
C: George Harrison was the lead guitarist and another songwriter who never got his song-writing appreciated, as he developed it the best before the Beatles broke up. But Here Comes the Sun and Something are two of his most well known songs, still known to this day.
@nafaidni - Why are you writing like that? Weird! Look, I read that Chuck Berry was busy suing EVERYBODY with anything remotely similar. John and Chuck talked and made a deal...it NEVER went to court...so there is NO plag....plajiar...plaggiar izm...oh, dang! There was not STEALING like George Harrsistone did. Could you please not write like your first letter? That freaks me out.
Nah, it may be true that Berry sued everyone, but the song definitely was similar enough for the case to be settled out of court.
It only shows that Berry didn't want to try stepping boundaries and suing the Beatles, as that would more likely kill his publicity. He just wanted some money.
Just because a case doesn't go to court doesn't mean that plagiarism didn't happen. And if so, then if George Harrison were never sued, then you would agree that he didn't plagiarize, right?
Doesn't matter. John Lennon STOLE the tune and the lyrical structure from Berry as much as George Harrison STOLE the tune from Oh Happy Day... er, I mean He's So Fine.
John paid it off less because his song just wasn't worth as much, and because Berry didn't want to go to court. That's it.
@nafaidni - Chuck Berry would sue you for your POST if he were still around. He'd claim that HE wrote it. Don't you understand. John Lennon just felt sorry for the aging negro. A man who had meant a lot to John when John was a teenager. Chuck Berry was insane!
@hydro547 - I love and respect the Beatles. That is to say, John and Paul. In a respect, George was just a studio musician. A consultant for hire. I always found it amusing that later, he confused himself for an important part of the Beatles. Thus, he could never understand WHY the public and the critics did not give him the same lifetime of respect they gave John and Paul.
Wow, that's amazing. You impersonate a 12 year old two comments above impersonating a 17 year old high school dropout.
See, George was as good a songwriter as the other by the end of the Beatles. He wrote HERE COMES THE SUN, arguably one of the most memorable and cheery songs of the 70s! It's a simple tune well known even today! Not to mention While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Something, two great songs as well.
He beat both Ringo and John in #1 hits solo. He's better than John!
Nah, all music is PLAGIARIZED. John Lennon was sued for plagiarism for Come Together. By chance it wasn't a good enough song to get much recognition when it did, and the case was settled out of court.
George got his song's chorus tune from Oh Happy Day, and as far as I'm concerned, they reserve the right to declaring plagiarism.
Though Bright Tunes and the Chiffons no longer have any right to declare plagiarism anywhere, since George bought them out.
ATTENTION ROOM: Lady Gaga was just sued for PLAGIARISM. During a press conference she yelled at a reporter: "Do I LOOK stupid? Do I LOOK like George Harrison"? ...referring to George's disastrous PLAGIARISM LAW SUIT where he was convicted of stealing the Chiffons "He's So Fine" to make "My Sweet Lord". I deeply resent her using George as an example of how STUPID you have to be to get caught plagiarizing. Poor George! Will he never get any respect?
Dear frightwolf, Of course Hari G. gets respect. This is a fantastic melody. It holds the mind. As to plagiarizing. I'm old enough to remember the case- in fact I think the newspaper reports from the music press ( when we had one in Britain) are still in my attic. Be peaceful; George did not sue the Jam when they released 'Start' which ripped off ' TAxman'.
@idle44 - I am "peaceful". Trust me, when George died, I could not have cared less. I do not mourn the loss of someone who basically SMOKED HIMSELF TO DEATH. Thankfully, it seems the general public seems to agree for indeed George's death goes largely ignored while to this day John's death still seems so terribly shocking! If I could appeal to the Universe, I would beg them please to KEEP George and give us John back. His absence is physically palpable. A dull pain. A longing.
@FrlghtWolf I'll say it again, frightwanker - JL's death was so shocking because he was shot 4 times in the back on his way home. Pretty violent and horrendous way to die, so of course it was more shocking than GH's! As for GH "smoking himself to death," JL was an even heavier smoker and had he not been murdered, would have most likely "smoked himself to death", also. You make out JL was a saint and GH was the anti-christ. Now, how's that for "myth-making!?"
@FrlghtWolf FUCK LADY GAGA. SHE IS FUCKIN NOTHING TO COMPARE TO THE LEGEND HIMSELF, GEORGE HARRISON. I DONT TO SEE HER NAME AGAIN IN GURU HARRISON VIDEO AGAIN! SHE WILL TURN TO DUST IF SHE STAND BESIDE GEORGE!
@FrlghtWolf - Actually, you, Lady Gaga, Justin "Beaver" are some of the mistakes God has made in recent times. Come on kiddo, you are 12 year old, you don't even qualify to say anything about any of the Beatles....who gave you the right to even mention the Beatles in your comments??? get lost from here, put your Gay lookin white headphones in your ears and listen to something else.....
Let us appreciate this song here, drop your shit at "Someplace Else"....
ATTENTION ROOM: Lady Gaga was just sued for PLAGIARIZING one of her songs. Her agent and her are fiercely fighting back. During a press conference, she yelled: "Do I look fucking stupid? Do I LOOK like George Harrison"?
I'm honestly fucking tired of FrightWolf and am getting pissed off at his parents. Mentally unstable individuals CANNOT be given free access to the internet when untreated! It's not healthy or safe for anyone.
I pity you, really. Your parents really are shit; not treating your issues and not giving a shit if you waste your life away attacking your superiors. Circumstances can be ephemerally unfair, I suppose, for everyone.
But there is room to choose reaction for them. We should realize that.
Ok, so he made some bad choices in his life. He was a hypocrite. No different to any other celebrity out there, if you ask me. Still makes no sense why you hate him so much.
@sharkeysmum - You know, John Lennon did horrible things...but he largely EARNED his eccentricities by cranking out years of great music. He was the driving force of the Beatles. The engine that not only changed music, but changed the world. George Harrison was LUCKY beyond imagination to have stumbled on to them. Had he not, he would have spent his life in obscurity. Even so, he found it necessary to complain about ALMOST EVERYTHING. Can you remember a time when George was genuinely HAPPY?
You bloody piece of shit. Go back to slitting your wrists.
You fucking cunt, do you honestly not realize what a worthless insignificant piece of dust you are? A highschool dropout and a sociopath, trying to comment on what music is good and what music is bad?
Do you know how laughable that is? You wouldn't even be credible enough to say Justin Beiber sucks and get believed!
Again, go back to the basement and fantasize of a life as good as any Beatle's, asswipe.
@FrlghtWolf Yeah whatever. you can try and deny George's legacy all you want - you're just making yourself look like even more of a prize twit. Also, you go on about how George "smoked himself to death" in comparison to JL who was "gunned down while going to say goodnight to his boy." NEWSFLASH! JL was also a heavy smoker and had he not been murdered, probably would have smoked himself to death, also. So, stop making out like GH was the devil and Lennon a saint.
cont.... so, yeah, I'd really like to know why you hate man who, by all accounts was a lovely man and is no longer alive to create anymore, in your words "rinky dink" melodies and "force" you to listen to them. Like I said a while back, some really good psycholoigal help will change your life.
@sharkeysmum Oh yeah, I mean he's admitted that some of his songs aren't very good, but he wrote some of the most beautiful songs ever. So I think we can forgive him for the duds. :)
Such a sensitive and beautiful song ! Thank you, George, for being so important in our lives. Thanks for posting it. It's delightful to be here right now.
People don't understand the amount of studio work Harrison did outside of his own and the Beatles. The guy produced dozens of albums and did session guitar work on hundreds of recordings. Plus his involvement in film production. Between his own work and the Beatles he made twenty five albums between 1963-1982. Sure he slowed down in the end, but this guy did a load of work from 1960-1990.
George was a huge influence on my life.....Eastern Philosophy,.Bangladesh, his aura was radiant and he will shine on forever....................Namaste
me and my son saw george walkin the cliffs of bondi sydney about 98, he had long hair was smallish and wore sandshoes and was walkin with a friend. my son yelled out "Hey George" he turned around smiled and gave the V for victory song. Love yu George

Fuckwit.

MyDreamside 7 months ago 26

None of them would be 5% as popular as they are now if not for the Beatles.
nafaidni 7 months ago
@ozmonster20- When I was your age, we dreamed of playing like Clapton, Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Nobody...and I mean NOBODY ever thought of George Harrison. He just wasn't that kind of guy. He was more of a studio musician. Of course he can PLAY the guitar, but he is not a master of the guitar. He was surrounded by John, Paul and George Martin. Their production assets were SO HIGH that not even George couldn't hurt the Beatles. In another time and place any one of us could have replaced him

Sure, just like how Olivia married him to get a US Green Card, how Paul McCartney wrote Something, how John Lennon had no hypocrisies, HandMade Studios no successes, George no skill at guitar, his songs no melody, how his wife couldn't speak English on their first date (she finished high school in California), how you both hate him and don't care for him, etc.
nafaidni 7 months ago
@nafaidni - Are you a female of the opposite gender? You sound like a woman. Do you know what I mean? You have the whiny thing going. The constant nagging....the need for attention. Of course I don't like George Harrison! He was a mediocre musician masquerading as a spiritual hippie. He made himself a hypocrite of the WORST kind!
thegrinchl7 7 months ago
@thegrinchl7
A multi-persona disorder kid who sounds like he has (+ does have) black cock perpetually up his ass?
nafaidni 7 months ago
I mean, really, couldn't we have anyone worth listening to critiquing him? Like, I dunno, the other Beatles who seem to like him more than John? And even John himself, by not inviting him to work on Imagine with him? Or maybe all the musicians that attended his memorial concert? Or even Justin Bieber, for God's sake!
But no, all we have... is this.
I suppose God designed it this way. The most abysmal of communities have the most abysmal of representatives.

bibi5027 8 months ago
@bibi5027 Exactly right. Again, frightwolf/thegrinch17 has no idea! If he knew as much about George as he claims he does, then he'd know that george just loved making music. In his own words, "Loves being in a band." That was what it was about to him. Although, he appreciated the good-fortune that came with it, unlike John and Paul, didn't seek stardom, adoration and all the other trappings that came with it. He admired them, although he didn't want to BE like them!
sharkeysmum 8 months ago
@sharkeysmum - There's what George SAID...and then...there's what George REALLY FELT. Frankly, you can pretty much disregard most of what came out of his mouth. Just watch what he DOES. George is one unhappy camper. George did not "appreciate" his good fortune! He spent the rest of his life taking swipes at the Beatles every chance he got! THAT'S WHY I HATE THE FUCKER! That and the fact he couldn't WRITE MUSIC, LYRICS, PLAY GUITAR OR SING VERY WELL. You may go now, housewife!
thegrinchl7 8 months ago
@thegrinchl7 Yeah, what.ever.you.say. You are the expert on George and you knew what he thought and felt. You win. I'm wrong. You're right. I'll go now. @FrlghtWolf If you REALLY need help that bad (still) I'll help you out, just send me a message.
First of all it's spelled BEATLES, like beat, because they're a band. Haha, thanks Lennon for that pun there.
Paul McCartney (you mispelled it)
George Harrison was the lead guitarist.
Gothicanime20 9 months ago
@Gothicanime20 - Why was this George Harrison guy allowed to stay with the Beetles if he STOLE other people's music. That's not very nice!
FrlghtWolf 8 months ago
@FrlghtWolf During the day of the Beatles none of the four of them stole any music, they did something which was and still is incredibly popular called "covering songs". They didn't stole, they borrowed. The Beatles were the first ones to include on their album sleeves who the songs they covered were originally by.
Either you have no brain cells, or you're trolling.

But Here Comes the Sun and Something are two of his most well known songs, still known to this day.
nafaidni 8 months ago
@FrlghtWolf
Y wuz Jhon Lenin kept in the beetles wen he plagirized a song 4 the beetles, Come Together?
Oh right, because plagiarism tends to be bullshit. People will realize that when guitar chord combinations run low.
nafaidni 8 months ago
@nafaidni - Why are you writing like that? Weird! Look, I read that Chuck Berry was busy suing EVERYBODY with anything remotely similar. John and Chuck talked and made a deal...it NEVER went to court...so there is NO plag....plajiar...plaggiar izm...oh, dang! There was not STEALING like George Harrsistone did. Could you please not write like your first letter? That freaks me out.
FrlghtWolf 8 months ago
@FrlghtWolf
And if so, then if George Harrison were never sued, then you would agree that he didn't plagiarize, right?
nafaidni 8 months ago
@FrlghtWolf
That's it.
nafaidni 8 months ago
@nafaidni - Chuck Berry would sue you for your POST if he were still around. He'd claim that HE wrote it. Don't you understand. John Lennon just felt sorry for the aging negro. A man who had meant a lot to John when John was a teenager. Chuck Berry was insane!

hydro547 9 months ago

@hydro547 are you talking to yourself?
QueenieG7 9 months ago
@hydro547 - I love and respect the Beatles. That is to say, John and Paul. In a respect, George was just a studio musician. A consultant for hire. I always found it amusing that later, he confused himself for an important part of the Beatles. Thus, he could never understand WHY the public and the critics did not give him the same lifetime of respect they gave John and Paul.
FrlghtWolf 9 months ago
@FrlghtWolf
He's better than John!
nafaidni 8 months ago
@nafaidni - Well, he "beat" John and Ringo if you simply IGNORE that George's biggest "hit" was PLAGIARIZED. Something John Lennon didn't have to do.
FrlghtWolf 8 months ago
@FrlghtWolf

FrlghtWolf 9 months ago
@FrlghtWolf
Dear frightwolf, Of course Hari G. gets respect. This is a fantastic melody. It holds the mind. As to plagiarizing. I'm old enough to remember the case- in fact I think the newspaper reports from the music press ( when we had one in Britain) are still in my attic. Be peaceful; George did not sue the Jam when they released 'Start' which ripped off ' TAxman'.
idle44 9 months ago
@idle44 - I am "peaceful". Trust me, when George died, I could not have cared less. I do not mourn the loss of someone who basically SMOKED HIMSELF TO DEATH. Thankfully, it seems the general public seems to agree for indeed George's death goes largely ignored while to this day John's death still seems so terribly shocking! If I could appeal to the Universe, I would beg them please to KEEP George and give us John back. His absence is physically palpable. A dull pain. A longing.
FrlghtWolf 9 months ago
@FrlghtWolf I'll say it again, frightwanker - JL's death was so shocking because he was shot 4 times in the back on his way home. Pretty violent and horrendous way to die, so of course it was more shocking than GH's! As for GH "smoking himself to death," JL was an even heavier smoker and had he not been murdered, would have most likely "smoked himself to death", also. You make out JL was a saint and GH was the anti-christ. Now, how's that for "myth-making!?"

We should realize that.

sharkeysmum 9 months ago
@sharkeysmum - You know, John Lennon did horrible things...but he largely EARNED his eccentricities by cranking out years of great music. He was the driving force of the Beatles. The engine that not only changed music, but changed the world. George Harrison was LUCKY beyond imagination to have stumbled on to them. Had he not, he would have spent his life in obscurity. Even so, he found it necessary to complain about ALMOST EVERYTHING. Can you remember a time when George was genuinely HAPPY?

@FrlghtWolf Yeah whatever. you can try and deny George's legacy all you want - you're just making yourself look like even more of a prize twit. JL was also a heavy smoker and had he not been murdered, probably would have smoked himself to death, also. So, stop making out like GH was the devil and Lennon a saint.
