@Dany21193 since the genes are linked, they get passed on together. this violates the law of independent assortment since genes are all individually passed on
@Dany21193 in linkage two genes on chromosomes can go into one gamates but in independent assortment it is said that one gene or one trait is transfered to only single gamate like GG rr genotype give rise to four gamate each having single gene having G, G, r, r but in linkage two genes can go to a single gamate....i hope u got it
