Levin complains about 'guests' (who are actually citizens) to the country complaining about the president, and he thinks that's rude behavior for a guest, but what he doesn't realize is it's just as rude for a host to do the same thing. And here he is, a host of a talk radio show, criticizing his guests. This is an example of how conservatives don't make any sense.

Your comment doesn't make sense. Do you know what the definition of a liberal is? Here's a couple: "Having political or social views favoring reform and progress." "Tolerant of change; not bound by authoritarianism, orthodoxy, or tradition." See, liberals FIGHT oppression, whereas conservatives just want things to stay the way they were, no matter how bad things are. After all, the definition of conservative is "resistant to change."

And um, you're not supposed to fight for oppression; you're supposed to be fighting against it.... So technically, your "tax system" statement is the only one that makes sense... and even then, it's wrong. What is wrong with our tax system? Where do you expect government money to come from? Maybe we ought to just donate to the government out of the goodness of our hearts, hm?

Our current tax system is: the 16th admendment is in direct opposition to the 10th admendment. Thats whats wrong with it.

secondly: there is no such thing as 'government money' it is our money.

Solution: Fair Tax Plan. A person would only be taxed on goods that is purchased by that individual. (No embedded taxes)You would control your own level of taxation and the government would have to live within its Constitutional bounds.

Sounds great, except... to cover losses that the government would have to recoup by not having income taxes, taxes on goods and imports would have to be much higher, which would lead to a decrease in consumer spending, which would hurt everyone, as demonstrated by this economy. Also, how should businesses be taxed?

And yeah, there is such a thing as government money. It's money that we've paid to the government. Same as if I go to Walmart and buy something. My money is now Walmart money.

not really... the government would have more money collected because everyone buys goods and that would make everyone a taxpayer. There would be no exemptions like we have today.

also, spending would increase because there would no embedded taxes like we have today. there would be no income taxes, there would be no capitol gains tax, there would be no death tax etc... so people would have more money to put into the economy.

Read the Fair Tax book written by Neal Boortz and John Linder.

You can't deny the fact that sales taxes would have to be higher. This would put off younger people who don't currently pay taxes, making them less likely to buy merchandise. And we all know what happens when kids want something but can't afford it: they steal it, and of course that hurts everyone. So what is someone caught with stealing charged with? Tax evasion? And once kids start stealing everything, the sales taxes will increase, and those of us who would never steal will simply buy less.

Sales taxes would be higher. 33% to be exact. BUT, YOU would be in control of what you buy and YOU would be in control of how much tax you pay based on consumption.

Remember, Currently we have a Federal tax system that put most median income families at 31%. Plus you have to pay a sales tax as well.

Under the Fair Tax.. There would be NO Fed tax rate because there would be NO FED income taxes paid.

As far a theft... that will exist under whatever tax system we have.

Of course theft will always exist. I'm saying that it will increase if people who are used to paying ~5-7% sales tax find they are suddenly paying 33%. And that, or course, would be tax evasion. People want the freedom to buy whatever they want without having to worry about the taxes on it. I like how sales tax is a minor deal now. I wouldn't want to have to worry about that every time I went to make a purchase. Sorry.

As far as foreign policy goes, it's good to maintain allies within our world, but I really don't want Obama spewing that it's ok that terrorist nations like N.Korea, and Iran, ,can start nuclear energy programs. Obama really needs to not play the naive card, that those nations are going to use that for energy sources.

I understand where you're coming from, what I don't understand is why we should be allowed to have enough nuclear weapons to effectively "blow up" the world several times over, but no other nation should be allowed any nuclear weapons. The less ideal solution is to allow other nations to have a limited supply of nuclear weapons. The better solution would be to forfeit most of ours. We must admit that we aren't the superpower we used to be, and not act like we're "better" than everyone else.
