  • good example of aliasing

  • this is called wagon wheel effect , the blades rotate at high speed and hence it appears as if the blades are not rotating

  • if this were staged you wouldn't see the main rotors change pitch which you do the tail rotor wouldn't spin at all which it does and the landing gear retracts meaning this is a video of a mil 24 shot on a very shitty camera

  • @thealex697 ok listen close. In a video camera there is a disk with two holes in it that spins at a set speed, every time the cameras sensor lines up with one of these holes it takes a picture then you just play the pictures in quick succession and the eye sees it as a seamless video. whats happening here is the helicopter's rotor is spinning at the same rate as the disk inside the camera so each time the camera takes a picture the blades are in the same place.

  • FPS is the same rate of the RPM

  • antigravity!!!

  • thealex697... your retarded the cameras shutter speed matches the rotor speed of the helicopter

  • @keegan707 oh im sorry if im not a camera geek

  • @keegan707 no its not listen closely u can clearly hear its the rotors

  • @thealex697 how in the heck is it doing that without its big fan spining?

  • @mquiroz90 The framerate of the video and the camera capture speed are basically in-sync with the speed of the blades. Simple as that.

  • @orbj7934 this guy couldnt have been more correct

  • you can still hear the rotors moving though?

  • @thealex697 hahahaa

  • i love sound of MI-24 engine :D
