  • This is my favorite version of the song.

  • Love this song....but sounds a lot like the Littlest Hobo theme song, doesn't it?

  • i remember being a teen in the 70's and being a huge fan of Roger's (saw him at the Bayfront Center in St. Petersburg, FL) and all my friends thinking I was a total geek for listening to him. Now that we're all older, they all love him and realize that I had it pegged all those years ago! Hahaha! Thanks for catching up everyone.

  • This songs is beautiful but it is so so sad.

  • @DanielHelps DONT BE SAD THIS IS REALITY.AS YOU KNOW IT HAPPENS ALL ROUND THE WORLD. YOU ARE VERY CARING GOD BLESS YOU FOR HAVING A HEART OF GOLD

HAVE A GREAT DAY AND GOD BLESS

  • @DanielHelps I found it to be a very uplifting song. He's talking about not waiting till tomorrow because NOW is the time to do whatever it is your going to do in your life. The old man in the song was happy because he had lived a full life and had no regrets about putting the things off in his life that he always wanted to do.

  • So easy on the heart is his music..talk about a sorrow-soothing elixir of the soul..I'm getting to the age where I not only know of the young man he sings about..but I know of the old man he sings of as well...and I don't know if I should laugh or cry..

  • I love this song. I remember my Mother listening to this song when I was younger.

  • Ok. THX

  • I like this song. But where is the lyrics of the song?

  • The part in the lyrics that confused you are "his eyes would twinkle up in fun". Thanks for posting this!

  • @ kelamont-

    Thanks...

My thinking at that point of the song was the 81 yr. old man was thinking about dreams he had since he was 20.His eyes looked up...twinkled then became foggy or tearful...then dropped thinking of how he hadn't reached those dreams.

    Love this tune.

    Thanks again...

  • Thanks for your input...I finally updated the lyrics...

    Thanks again...
