im really not seeing any resemblance to the original devil may cry we all know and love this is lacking a lot....from what i'v just seen they didden't focus on the weapons or fighting combos non the less they left of a huge array of shootable wapons...not looking to grate for this game but i have to try it to test my therory
I dunno I am not a fan of japanese extravagance but somehow in DMC series it just fitted perfectly. This somehow seems to lack to power DMC had, maybe due to poor music choice for the trailer... I hope there will be a demo because I'd like to give it a try but for now I remain sceptical.
The only good DMC's were 1st and 3rd, you can't ruin whats already ruined. Ninja Theory is an amazing underrated team and I'm sure they can't make the game worse than DMC2 or DMC4 (if the hair color is not the most important part of the game for you).

@joethetimelord I think the design, themes, presentation, and gameplay mechanics in the real dmc games were perfect. The over the top, overtly cheesy, style of the game, along with the perfectly formed gameplay system, are what defined the franchise. Have you ever played heavenly sword? the thing was practically a slur of choppy and obviously orchestrated animations. Nowhere near as well implemented as good dmc games. This is not dmc. This is some asshole glorying himself at the cost of dmc.

Alot of games have been making the wrong moves with alot of their franchises. By the looks of this it seems like almost is all lost with the original Dante and replaced with the new one. New Modren Day music, new gameplay system, new look and area, and so on. The only way to set this apart from the rest and call it crap is to play it upon release. Only then will we know if this game is worth the 19.99 price after a month of it's initital release.
