This is ominous stuff, but then again, these days it's ALL ominous stuff. It looks like Bush is giving himself absolute power and the ability to prosecute people for merely having the wrong ideas.
No shit, that is why I am accruing weapons and camping gear. I like how serious you are. We should all be that way, because we're approaching DEADLY times...
This legislation was put forth by Jane Harman. She is a democrat. This shows that the parties are one in the same. They see that the people are starting to wake up to the lies.
Don't know if there's a vote scheduled. It would be kind of hard to hide it inside another bill, since you can track what's happening with it @ the govtrack dot US site. I would just check in there on a regular basis. One of your senators had no comment?! That is COMPLETELY unacceptable. These people work for US. It's their damn job to answer our questions! I'd love to know who that is if you'd like to share that info.
S. 1959 was introduced in the senate on August 2, 2007 by Susan Collins (R-Maine). Co-sponsored by Norm Coleman (R-Minnesota). The House version of the bill (H.R. 1955) was introduced by Jane Harman (D-California) on April 19, 2007 and passed the House on Oct. 23 by a 404-6 vote with 22 not voting. Don't know who wrote it. Probably lobbyists for the companies who will profit from contracts with the government to implement it.
If Congress passes this law, then we the people will have to take up our arms and defend our Constitution. Are we terrorists if we defend the laws of the U.S.A.? Or are they terrorists for passing terrible laws?
Hillary and Schumer are my Senators and do not care about the citizens. They rule with their name and money and never listen to me...I already got on them about this and am sure they will not care again.
I am sure this will pass because it will give more power to our 1 party 2 wing politicians.
Good chance you're right, AJ. But it's not law until the Pretender-in-Chief signs it. We have GOT to hammer the hell out of the senate on this. I can't stress enough the importance of that. I hope you'll share the info with all your friends. Status of the bill can be tracked at govtrack dot us, a link to which is up there in the video info...
