good advice, i try really hard to follow it when i lead raids but sometimes i just have insult people. happens most often when i do "for fun AQ40" run and it is never any fun at all. people seem to think that because the required GS for AQ40 (assuming you took a person in the correct lvl 60 gear for AQ40 through the GS addon) is about 900. and they have a 5.5kGS they are good enough to ZERG THE TWIN EMPS. that is when i go NUTS! when leading regular raids it takes a gunship wipe or something.

First off, when something like that happens and wipes the raid, in my server its normally "KICK THE SCRUB!" Which i could imagine happens in alot of servers. Though being raid leader 90% of the time it's best to do what you have said, pull them aside and let them know what to do, or find out if they know what to do.Other raid leaders wouldn't ever think of doing something like that, it's normally a great global rant to the poor sob that messed up.

I've always found option c) to be the way to go.

Once someone messes up a raid, it guarantees that they won't do it again, and also that their little brother won't log on for them and ninja your loot.

I do the call out method all the time. One, it keeps the raid moving as I generally do this while buffing or when we are taking a break. Two, that person figures out what they did and how to do it better and three it makes everyone else focus because they don't want to be called out. I rarely have a raid that cant get past a boss unless I am in either Ulduar 10/25 or ToGC10/25 some of those bosses are too hard if everyone is not on their a-game. Particularly Mimiron and Faction champs. grrrr

In our raids our raid leader says stuff like "you guys sucked", and we go on. Everyone knows it's a joke, and we just try again.

Like Lore said, the main goal here is to have fun. Ultimately you're hanging out with a bunch of people taking down baddies. If the raid leader isn't having fun and being sarcastic and is 100% serious 100% of the time, it makes it hard to have fun. But when the raid leader makes humor out of bad situations, it helps lighten the mood and makes it fun overall.
